This was a creative little tale. Very descriptive in its execution, this memoir covering war-torn lands and its people was captivating with respect to the journey it carries the reader through. It has a clever reveal element, adeptly handled, and will keep you engaged to the very last page.

[A review solicited by the author. Reviewer received a free copy from Amazon.] Filled with intensity and suspense... A young protagonist struggles to reconcile her loss of memory and absence of family in the midst of a senseless war and improbable events...a page turner reminiscent of explosive teenage angst and childlike innocence. An enjoyable tale, a strong effort from a new voice.

I started reading it and it seemed to be a pretty good war story, very well-written. Made it to the end and seriously??? Trust me, you’re not reading what you think you’re reading.

You can read it over and over again and still be shocked. A twist ending to beat all twist endings.

Definitely 5/5.
