His Little Winter Wonderland: An M/M Christmas Romance

Rate this book
Twelve days. Twelve gifts. One chance to open his heart.

Tanner is burned out. After losing a major case, the small-town lawyer needs a break from the constant pressure and endless noise of his life. When his instincts tell him time away is a must, he heads to the Coleman Ranch hoping a little quiet and open air will help him find his footing again.

He doesn’t expect to find comfort in the steady man who greets him that first snowy night… or the mysterious Secret Santa who starts leaving thoughtful gifts outside his door.

Simon came to the ranch to start over. After losing his husband he’s content to spend his days working hard and keeping to himself, quietly burying his Daddy heart beneath the routine. But when Tanner arrives tired, a little lost, and in need of care, Simon’s resolve begins to waver. Playing Secret Santa was supposed to be a harmless, fun way to make Tanner smile.

He never meant to fall for him in the process.

His Little Winter Wonderland is a heartwarming holiday romance featuring a quiet cowboy Daddy learning to love again, a weary lawyer in need of rest, and twelve days of Christmas surprises leading to one unforgettable happily ever after at the Coleman Ranch.

Tanner is a small-town lawyer, exhausted and burned out after losing a major case. Seeking peace and renewal, he retreats to the Coleman Ranch for rest and quiet. Simon is a hardworking cowboy who has withdrawn into solitude after the loss of his husband. He hides his nurturing “Daddy heart” beneath routine, avoiding emotional entanglements. Tanner finds unexpected comfort in Simon’s steady presence. Meanwhile, a mysterious Secret Santa begins leaving thoughtful gifts for Tanner, slowly breaking down his defences. Simon’s playful Secret Santa gestures were meant to cheer Tanner, not to spark romance. But as Tanner opens up and Simon’s resolve softens, their connection deepens into love.

I loved this story, which was a cosy, heartwarming holiday romance about a weary lawyer and a grieving cowboy who, through twelve days of gifts and gentle care, discover love, healing, and a happily ever after at the Coleman Ranch. I loved that Tanner’s burnout represented the exhaustion of modern life — constant pressure, noise, and the toll of professional failure and his retreat to the ranch symbolised the need to step away and rediscover balance. Having lost his husband, Simon embodied the quiet ache of unresolved sorrow. His routine was a shield, but also a prison. Together, their stories show how healing often requires both rest (Tanner’s retreat) and courage to reopen the heart (Simon’s journey). The story suggested that love can be a balm for both burnout and grief. A sweet MM story with mature content with a BSSM-like DDLB dynamic.

A beautiful and sweet holiday romance filled with a secret Santa who’s almost too good, a ranch full of found family, and finally having the space to truly heal.

When Tanner, a family lawyer, hits rock bottom after a devastating loss he finds himself fleeing to the one place he feels safest- Coleman Ranch. Arriving late at night, with nothing but the suit on his back, he’s welcomed by ranch hand Simon. Simon, who’s been watching Tanner for a long while, seizes the opportunity to finally claim and care for the man he suspects is perfect for him.

This was an emotional and delightful journey. There’s nothing like the found family at Coleman Ranch. Seeing these men embrace and love on Tanner and support Simon in pursuing him was lovely. With dashes of holiday cheer, a series of secret Santa gifts, and the softest and sweetest nurturing relationship this is the perfect Daddy/boy Christmas romance.

What you’ll get:
•Burnt out Lawyer/Ranch Hand
•Daddy/boy
•Acquaintances to love
•Hurt/Comfort
•Someone’s been paying attention
•Secret Santa
•Falling for two people (secretly the same person)

His Little Christmas Wonderland was such a warm, comforting holiday read. Tanner, a completely burned-out lawyer, heads to the Coleman Ranch hoping for peace, and instead finds himself slowly drawn to Simon — the quiet, grieving cowboy who hides a soft “Daddy heart” under all that routine and solitude.
I loved the Secret Santa gifts sprinkled through the story — thoughtful, gentle little surprises that help Tanner relax and remind Simon what it feels like to care again. Watching Tanner rediscover himself while Simon’s walls melt was just lovely. Their connection grows in that cosy, intimate way that makes you want to curl up with a blanket and keep reading.
It’s a heartwarming MM Christmas romance with a light DDLB vibe, a touch of ranch magic, and two men who find exactly what they need in each other. Totally recommend for a sweet seasonal escape!

Considering the blurb tells you one MC lost their husband two years prior, this is incredibly low angst. He’s moved past it as much as one can, and decides pretty quickly that Tanner is the love of the rest of his life. It’s very fluffy and my heart wanted to hug Tanner for how much he carried from his job. Something stopped me from completely connecting with the story though and I don’t know what, hence four stars instead of five.

Tanner's story!!

I'm so glad to finally have Tanner's story. I've loved his character from the first time he was introduced in the Coleman Ranch series. I had no idea he was a Little. Simon was the perfect Daddy for him someone who truly saw him. I loved this story and seeing Tanner get his happy ending.

Amazing!!!

If the Coleman ranch was real I’d want to be there. So much love and support. Atticus has built on what his father started. Everyone on the ranch has made it not just prosperous but a family.

Tanner is in a bad head space so he heads to the ranch. Simon is there to help right away. I love the way their bond forms between them from the beginning. The ranch is such a special place.
