If you're considering going through AFF this is a decent broad exposure to the world of skydiving and what to expect in either a tandem skydive or the pursuit of your A license. It's not especially deep and it certainly won't make an experienced skydiver better. But, for somebody that is just getting going in the sport it's a place to start so you don't feel totally out of place your first day at the drop zone.
At this point it's a bit dated at almost 20 years old. But it still gets the trick done and is a worthwhile read prior to that first ride under canopy.
