Can they learn to trust again?? Clayton has just been dumped by the two people that he saw forever with. And he’s really struggling to get over it so he decides to buy a yacht and have a break and hope that he can get over his broken heart. But on his way to the marina, he hears gunshots. And then a very attractive man runs out hand him a baby and tells him to take her to the Marina where the owners would look after her. And before Clayton can do anything, the guy runs off again as more gunshots can be heard. It takes him about half an hour to get to the marina and by then he’s already fallen in love with a little princess on his lap. Vaughan would do anything to keep his daughter safe. His wife had been murdered and now they were after Vaughan and Mabel. He thought he was safe in the marina but when he went into town, he saw the guys that were after him and the gunfire started. As a car was coming by Vaughan thought the only thing he could do was trust a stranger to take his daughter to the marina. Vaughan was seriously scared. Some days later he came face-to-face with the stranger again. He learned that his name was Clayton. As a thank you Vaughan cooked dinner for Clayton on his new yacht super yacht this thing was huge. The kitchen was a chefs dream and it was such a shame because Clayton couldn’t cook he was living on takeout but as these two men spend more time together the attraction is undeniable but could Vaughan trust Clayton with the truth about the people that were after him and why?? This was a good read. I really enjoyed that Clayton and Vaughn didn’t jump in to anything that they took accountability for Mabel and learning to get to know each other. I really enjoyed this Read.

Clayton thought he was in a good place, until his partners told him they would move forward without him. He’s devastated, and after several months, he ordered a new yacht, changed location, and started a new future, alone.
On his way to the marina, a guy who looks scared, leaves his baby with Clayton, telling him where and with whom he has to leave her, and runs off. Not the new start that Clayton thought it would be.
With an office near the marina, Clayton is finally happier. Living on his new super yacht was the right decision. He meets Vaughn again, yes the dad! Vaughn and Clayton start a sweet friendship, they meet regularly, of course with Vaughn’s adorable daughter. Vaughn doesn’t explain why he’s in the situation he is now. Clayton is okay with that, even though it hurts Vaughn doesn’t trust him enough to open up.
Gosh, I loved Clayton, he’s honest and uncomplicated, you get what you see. He deserved Vaughn’s honesty, and thank goodness he got it! While Vaughn's situation is precarious, the story itself is delightful, and not too heavy.
I loved this story, short and sweet, awesomely written, with a great plot and wonderful characters!
A short but interesting tale set in Australia with a very unusual meet-cute for Vaughn and Clayton, one that became a lasting relationship held together with a baby named Mabel. Clayton is living on his new super yacht at the small marina his family owns when he meets Vaughn in the most unusual away I have come across. Vaughn is on the run from some shady characters and Clayton inadvertently helps him out. Clayton is recovering from a broken heart, but soon finds himself infatuated with Mabel, and maybe her daddy, too. But Vaughn has secrets, and an unexpected connection to Clayton, one that must be handled before the attraction can become maybe a forever.
This is a very short story but is surprisingly complicated, with an unusual connection between these two men who would seem to have little in common. Loved the creation of Montanaia as Vaughn’s home country, not quite sure where it was situated, but it was creative. There are few spicy scenes, but you get the feeling they were working their way up to it slowly, both holding back until they sensed the other was ready as they learned to trust, and set aside the events that drew them together. A short, satisfying read from an author with a variety of titles in the mm genre.

Clayton heads to tropical North Queensland to mend his broken heart, only to have his quiet escape upended when a terrified man literally drops a baby into his arms and begs him for help. The father, Vaughn, is guarded, gorgeous, and clearly running from something dangerous. As Clayton shelters him, their chemistry grows through shared meals on the yacht and long days in the sun, even as Vaughn keeps his past tightly locked away. When the men chasing Vaughn catch up to him, a shocking truth comes out — forcing both men to confront what they’ve built together. This book blends forced proximity, a wounded billionaire, and a single dad with a dangerous secret.
I loved this tender, heartfelt romance built on the strength of connection. What really stood out to me was how close Clayton and Vaughn became as circumstances forced them together — their bond grows naturally, quietly, and with a surprising amount of warmth for such a high‑stakes setup. And Clayton’s love for Vaughn’s daughter is the emotional core of the story. His instinctive protectiveness and the way he folds her into his life make their little trio feel genuinely special. A soft, intimate read about healing, trust, and choosing the people who choose you. This was an MM story with mature content.
Short story - took me about 1.5 hours to read - but it's full of emotions and intrigue. Both Clayton and Vaughn are fully developed and likeable characters, and the relationship building between them felt genuine. They are both dealing with heartbreak, but for different reasons and are surprised by the early trust they have with one another. It's not complete trust right away, but it really doesn't take long for that to happen, as well as for them to fall in love and find their HEA. Vaughn is on the run from a determined and very bad guy, but once he reveals all to Clayton, he gets unexpected help and a quick resolution. For me, I would have like a little more intrigue and maybe a confrontation before the speedy conclusion, but overall, I did enjoy this book.
I received an ARC from Booksprout, this review is my honest opinion.
Movers by Casey Cox is the third book in the Upper Echelons series but can be read as a standalone. This was a short and fast paced story that followed what happened when single Dad Vaughan met Billionaire Clayton, while the former was on the run. From the moment the two met under violent circumstances, the story covered a lot of ground and there was a lot of tension. Clayton had relocated due to a bad break-up but he was immediately able to put this to one-side when Vaughan asked him to protect Vaughan's daughter Mabel. This was a solid story with good characters and Vaughan and Clayton made a good couple. I have not read the first two books but I don't think this impacted the overall story. The story did have a very quick resolution of all the drama. It would have been nice if the story was a bit longer for a bit more depth/character development but a good read overall. 3.8/5
I don't recall much of Clayton's story in the other two books in the series, but I did remember about Melinda being his match from the app that brought Robbie and Dunlop together. I'm disappointed with how his story flows, but he deserved a proper partner that matched his energy and he finds that in Vaughn. I really loved the instant connection Clayton makes with baby Mabel, as short as this book is, because it's nice to see something give him that genuine smile and feeling far more settled. All of the Palmers have had some reason or another to desire that real love. I'm glad there wasn't much follow-up to the part of the story as far as any violence or anything, but I hate that the violence exists in the past at all, especially since it taints Vaughn's happy memories of his best friend.
Movers was an interesting addition to the Upper Echelons series. While I can't say it tops the other two of the series, it was still a very enjoyable read and I loved finishing off the brothers' stories. Now I'm very excited to see how Daddy Palmer's story turns out in the next book.

This is book 3 in the series and can be read as a standalone but why not enjoy them all. Clayton is on his way to the marina to get away from being broken up with. On his way, he hears gunshots and stops. He sees someone running through the sugar canes holding a baby. Tasked with taking care of her and bringing her to someplace safe, he runs off. Fast forward a month a Vaughn is with Leo and Rove and taking care of his daughter. He meets Clayton and thanks him for taking care of Mabel. This is a quick read of how they got together and how Vaughn eventually opened up to Clayton with what happened. Great read and cannot wait for the next book.
Adventurous! Clayton and Vaughn, meet at a traumatic time in their lives. Clayton, relocates after being rejected and his retail therapy is a super yacht. Vaughn is on the run from murderers with his baby daughter. Clayton, temporarily cares for the baby until Vaughn catches up with him. The story is a cautionary tale, blanketed by baby love, fear, starting over and a bit of mystery. Trauma is not always the best time to start a romance, but it does revale a person's character. Short story, rapid flow, great characters, nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
ARC review Casey Cox managed to squeeze in so much in this short read. I'm impressed. I love the characters, setting and the excitement from start to finish. It keept me on high alert eager for answers to all the questions. I had a great time reading this and hope others will pick up this little treasure.
Great novella in the Upper Echelons universe. Clayton needs to get away from life, he runs to Leo and Rove’s neck of the woods to heal his broken heart. On his way, a baby is dropped into his lap and he meets a man. Vaughn is guarded but the two have chemistry. Good story.
Really silly plot, no character development, zero angst, no chemistry. Not even close to any reality. Wow, this was a total flop. Read the authors other books but skip this flimsy novella.
So short, no real connection here. Disappointing. I really like the author but wish he would concentrate more on writing longer, engrossing stories instead of quick ones like this.
