The deal was simple.
Marry the cowboy.
Pretend to be in love.
Go our separate ways when the twelve months are up.
What could possibly go wrong?

I’ve spent the last year simply trying to survive but the massive amount of debt to my name and a bar on the brink of collapse, I’m quickly running out of options.
The last thing I expect is to be offered an out by Sunstone Ridge's most eligible bachelor.
Roman Knight is small town royalty.
Rich.
Powerful.
Untouchable.
And as desperate as I am. He needs a wife, and I need money, what could possibly go wrong by making a deal to marry the cowboy with his own reasons to never fall in love?
It’s only twelve months; we both get what we need from it and at the end, we go our separate ways.
We both swear this thing is temporary and I told myself I could get through it, that I wouldn’t fall in love, but the more time I spend on the ranch and with him, the more Roman starts to knock down my carefully constructed walls.
But the foundations we’re balancing on are delicate and getting close to him comes with risks.
One thing I know for sure though, is that secrets don’t stay buried, and when ghosts from Roman’s past come back to haunt him, it’s me who gets caught in the crossfire.

Say You Need Me is book 1 in the Knight Falls Ranch series, a set of three books that can be read as standalones.

Ria Wilde you have found your calling with these cowboy romances!!!!!! Perfection.

She writes cowboys so incredibly in love with their woman it has me a giggling fool. The words that came out of Roman’s mouth were downright sinful 🥵

CINEMA!!!!!!!!!!!! A down bad cowboy with the deliciousness of romantic suspense. I am but a simple woman and Ria Wilde writes exactly what I want.

This has the love, the danger, the emotion. I felt like I was also in love with this man.

Reader for life BBY!!!! (This is also me telling people to go read Steel & Sin btw. ANOTHER INCREDIBLE COWBOY)

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS ARC!!!!

Thank you for the ARC Ria 🩷

Roman and Niamh have a special place in my heart, I love a capable FMC, she is so strong on her own and I adore that Roman adds to her strength!

This book made me cry, the feelings dealing with grief really got me, and when a book can make me laugh, tear up, and is also one I can’t put down, while also being steamy?! Instant 5🌟 for me!

I cannot wait for the rest of the brother’s stories! In particular I’m so excited for Remy’s 🤭

Bring on the next book 😍

Say You Need Me is everything I want in a marriage-of-convenience romance: emotionally heavy, dangerously intense, and painfully romantic with spice that absolutely delivers.
Roman Knight is a broody, closed-off ranch owner forced into marriage to keep the only thing he’s ever loved—Knight Falls Ranch. Niamh Calloway is drowning in grief, debt, and survival mode after losing her father, clinging to reckless moments just to feel alive. When Roman offers her a contract marriage in exchange for freedom from her crushing financial burden, what starts as a cold, transactional agreement slowly turns into something raw, consuming, and impossible to deny.
The tension between Roman and Niamh is immaculate. Their banter is sharp, their chemistry is constant, and the slow unraveling of their emotional walls is deeply satisfying. Roman is possessive without being cartoonish, protective without erasing Niamh’s strength, and when he starts begging—yeah, it’s over. The man is a certified dirty talker, and the spice is explicit, intense, and earned 🔥.
What truly elevates this story is the emotional depth and suspense layered into the romance. The danger feels real, the villain is chilling, and the payoff—especially the justice surrounding Roman’s mother—is incredibly satisfying. Watching two people who are terrified of love slowly choose each other, not out of obligation but need, is everything.
This book delivers:
•Forced proximity & fake marriage done RIGHT
•Slow-burn obsession
•High emotional stakes
•Delicious spice
•A dark, gripping external plot
•And a romance that grows from survival to devotion
By the end, Roman and Niamh aren’t just married on paper—they’re bonded in a way that feels unbreakable.
Final verdict: If you love emotionally scarred characters, contract marriages that turn feral, protective MMCs, and spice that makes you put the book down to breathe—this is a must-read.

Say You Need Me - ARC REVIEW

“I need you, and I want you to need me back. I never knew I needed to be saved until I made you my wife.”

5 ⭐
3 🌶️

It's been a while since I read a good marriage of convenience romance. Add a dash of forced proximity and the tension had me swooning.

Niamh is desperately trying to hold on to her bar, with mounting debt and overwhelming grief her ever present shadow. Despite that she's armed with a strong independent woman personality and is determined to make it through on her own.

Roman is the gorgeous, wealthy heir of the largest ranch in town. He would much prefer to keep to himself and work his days away on the ranch forever. He isn't looking for any kind of commitment from anyone. There's just one pesky problem. He must get married to officially inherit the ranch.

When they make a deal and are forced together will they give in to the temptation of each other or will that gap be too wide to close?

The tension combined with the 'my wife' trope was fabulous and the underlying mysterious elements had me on the edge of my seat.

What a way to kickstart a series. I cannot wait to devour the other 2.

Fake marriage. Cowboy romance. Small-town vibes? Yeah… I was in immediately.
This story follows Niamh who’s barely keeping her life together — crushing debt, a bar on the brink of failure, and zero backup plan. Enter Roman Knight: rich, powerful, emotionally closed-off cowboy and Sunstone Ridge royalty.
He needs a wife. She needs money. So they do the most logical thing possible… get married for twelve months and promise not to catch feelings. (You already know how that goes.)
I really loved how natural the relationship development felt. The fake marriage slowly turns into real emotions, quiet moments on the ranch, both of their ‘walls’ coming down, and that uh-oh, I’m in trouble realisation when pretending stops being pretend. Roman is the broody cowboy type done right, and his past adds just enough tension to keep things interesting. I loved how once he knew his feelings for Niamh he was all in. His ‘my wife’ moments and filthy mouth - chefs kiss. I connected with Niamh, she’s struggling, still grieving and is so used to being on her own that having Roman and his family around her feels so alien to her, but when she opens herself up to it, it is everything. throw in cute kitten and hilarious kids and this is a heartfelt, romance, easy to sink into, where two broken people find something real when they weren’t looking.
I can’t wait for the rest of this series

Another day brings another book review. I recently finished 'Say You Need Me' by Ria Wilde, and I must give it a 5-star rating. This captivating read had no shortcomings whatsoever. The protagonist, Niamh, is a resilient and fearless individual who shoulders the weight of her family's responsibilities, including her father's medical expenses and the pressure to maintain the business she co-founded with her father. Her solace lies in the serene waterfalls on the trespassed land. Similarly, Roame's life has been marked by adversity, having lost his mother at a tender age and subsequently taking on the responsibility of caring for his family's ranch alongside his grandfather and two brothers. Despite their remarkable success, Roame's world is turned upside down with the passing of his grandfather and the subsequent reading of his will, which threatens to strip him of his most cherished possession.

Cowboy romance with forced proximity, a marriage of convenience, and romantic suspense? Immediately yes.

Did I finish this book in 6 hours? Yep. Did I absolutely devour it and neglect responsibilities? Maaaaaybe..

Niamh is stubborn, strong-willed, and actually stands on what she says. Roman starts off grumpy and emotionally unavailable, but by the end I was fully melted. He definitely gave me major Rip-from-Yellowstone vibes and I will not be arguing about that.

The characters felt relatable, the pacing never dragged and the story kept moving in the best way. She fell… and he fell harder. As he should.

I don’t know how I’ve never come across anything from Ria Wilde before, but that’s about to change. I’ll be diving into her backlist and impatiently waiting for the other Knight brothers’ stories.

4.5 ⭐️

What better way to start 2026 than with a dirty-talking ranch owner, a strong-willed bar owner with a tendency to trespass, some romantic suspense and a marriage of convenience?

This was my first Ria Wilde book, but will not be my last (I’m already waiting impatiently for the next book in this series to come out, but, as of the day I’m writing this - this book hasn’t even been released yet).

I loved how Roman tried to pretend that the marriage was fake, but that man had it bad for Niamh from the first time he saw her swimming on his land. He was so growly and possessive and everything I love in a book boyfriend.

✅ Dual first person POV
✅ Spicy scenes

Thank you to the author for sending me an ARC of this one!

Wow 🤩 just wow! Let me tell you why I absolutely hated this book….and the only reason is BC I NEED BK 2!!!!

I fell in love with Ria’s writing from Steel & Sin. While this is a brand new family, new story…it feels like an extension….a web she’s creating of these women that love fiercely and protect what’s theirs.

Without giving too many spoilers the introduction of Roman and Niamh’s relationship is fast paced and addicting. They have eyes for each other only and there’s never a question of that..no matter how much they try to fight it. SPOILER he falls first and there’s nothing more yummy than a cowboy ready to give up everything and get in his knees.

Niamh takes a bit of time due to a natural concern of good things get taken away. However when she commits, she’s all in and nobody will stop her from protecting her found family and Pumpkin.

I say this start to a new series for Ria is a 10/10. Again knocking it out of the park! Go ahead girl!

Uggghh this book had me all in my feels, it’s a rollercoaster ride from start to finish but I absolutely loved every second of it. This was my introduction to cowboy romance and it did not disappoint. A romance book with a little bit of suspense?! And a twist no one saw coming?! YES PLEASE!! I basically devoured this entire book in one sitting, it kept me on edge, I couldn’t put it down.

To say I loved this book would be an understatement. I genuinely enjoyed every moment from start to finish and will absolutely be grabbing the next book in the series as soon as it’s released. This story gave me all the feels—I felt the sorrow and worry right along with the characters, laughed out loud, teared up at times, and then laughed some more. The love story that unfolds from a marriage of convenience is truly beautiful, heartfelt, and so well done. And don’t even get me started on the spice… a solid 10 out of 10 🥵. I completely devoured this book and have zero regrets.

★★★★★. Thank you so much to the author Ria for this arc! Please be aware there may be some spoilers in this review, read at your own risk!

Ria has done it once again! The plot, the characters, the side characters, the found family, the suspense, the yearning, the banter, EVERYTHING. I knew 10 chapters in this was 5 stars because of how protective and down bad Roman was for Niamh.

Roman, ugh a MAN. He saw Niamh and knew that was his wife. He tried so hard to say this was fake, but that lasted all of 10 minutes before he was begging her to need him and want him. His backstory was sad and I felt so bad for him and his brothers. I loved how he didn’t resent Niamh for his grandfathers choice and didn’t take that anger out on her. He was so soft with her and I loved it so much. His protectiveness was so sweet and sad because it correlated to his past.

Niamh, a WOMAN. She was so strong with everything that happened in this story and the past. She took everything on with her chin held high and didn’t let anyone walk all over her. I absolutely loved that she didn’t fall first and was more hesitant because I am tired of the fmc falling first. Her work ethic and how she didn’t just step away from the bar and how it was her lifeline, I loved. Her relationship with the brothers was so cute and I loved how she bonded with Roman’s niece and nephew.

I absolutely need Silas’ book right now. I already know I’m going to love him because of his immediate protectiveness of Niamh. His children are adorable and I’m curious about his backstory with the mom. Remy I am interested in. He brings the comedy to this that I enjoyed.

For my safety readers, safe. Both are not virgins. There’s no information on Roman’s past. Niamh mentions in her pov how there were rumors, but that’s it. Niamh had boyfriends and hookups in the past. The one thing I love about Ria books she makes the fmc have a past and it not be such a difference.

"When you smile, Niamh, you get dimples. Deep little dimples on each side of your mouth. They're so fucking pretty, but they're never aimed at me."

"You ask, and I'll give you anything you want."
"I don't want anything," I breathe.
"Then want me," The plea in his tone makes my knees
shake,
"Need me. Have me."

Say you need me is such a touching heartfelt story, Roman and Niamh might not have started the way they should have but it made their story that much more beautiful.

Roman is such a gentle giant with a heart of gold and isn't afraid to show it to the people he cares for most. The town might see him as an enigma but Roman prefers to keep away from town gossip. Working on the ranch his whole life he didn't think he needed anything else. Content with just being on the ranch was enough for him or so he thought... His life took an unexpected turn when his grandfather passed and he wasn't about to lose the only thing that made him happy until he met Niamh.. the woman with fire in her eyes and sass that he couldn't resist, he wasn't supposed to fall for her, it wasn't supposed to be real but when you find someone who makes your heart races just from breathing you'll do anything to keep them.

“𝑰 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒕𝒐 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒎𝒆 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌. 𝑰 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒌𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝑰 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒅 𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒍 𝑰 𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒎𝒚 𝒘𝒊𝒇𝒆.”

Niamh was literally drowning in her grief, everything just became too much for her and the walls she built around herself weren't coming down anytime soon. Her bar was the only thing that kept her going, the constant business kept her just busy enough that she couldn't break but the struggle was getting worse.. until she met Roman, his caramel eyes and his rough exterior drew her in but she wasn't about to let herself fall for him. She knew the price of loving someone and her fear of losing someone else was just too much for her but she couldn't not fall for Roman, he made her feel like she was living again.

"𝑰 𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝑰 𝒇𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒇𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆...𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝑰 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒆 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌.”

This is lighter than Ria's other books but there are still sensitive topics throughout, check the CW before reading!

“Keep looking at me like that and I might let you kiss me again.”

"She is the beginning and the end, and everything in between."

Roman- our MMC who has to get married to get his grandfather's ranch. I don't think I've ever swooned as much as I did with him. Like seriously. 🥹

Niamh- has a mountain of debt after her father's passing and is at risk for losing her bar. She is fierce, guarded, and has the biggest heart.

I love a good fake marriage of convenience trope and the author executed this one perfectly. Going from basically strangers to having the emotions, attraction, and all the feels develop organically. Slowly breaking down walls that have been built. Balanced perfectly with mystery and suspense. This was a real page turner. Every chapter left me wanting more of their growing emotions for one another and also left me wanting answers to solve the suspense and be able to put all the puzzle pieces together.

This slow burn is perfectly paced and filled with a bit of danger and humor. So many cute moments as well which made it heartfelt. The grief journey is always an emotional one. So this was a big rollercoaster of emotions from beginning to end. I swooned, laughed, kicked my feet and giggled, my eyes popped, eyes tried to leak. This book accomplished all the things.

This is my first book by this author and I just added every other piece of work to my tbr. Highly recommend! I can't wait for Silas's story!!!! This series is going to be fantastic 😍

I am absolutely in love with everything about Say You Need Me.

The characters for starters are fantastic. Roman Knight is the eldest of the Knight brothers and has been running his family ranch for years. He’s got the brains, the brawn, and the drive. The ranch means everything to him and apart from his brothers, the land and those working on it, he really focuses on nothing else.

Niamh Calloway is the independent, fiery, and determined or you could say stubborn, but she’s also a little broken and sad. She lost her dad, the only parent she’s ever had, and she did everything she could to save him leaving her in a lot of debt. She’s got a close friend and the people who work her bar, but other than that she’s alone in the world.

These two come together in a marriage of convenience. After Roman’s grandfather passes he leaves a clause for Roman that will leave him without the ranch unless he marries. Niamh is about to lose everything she worked so hard for because she’s broke. He doesn’t want to fall in love it only has to last for a year and he wants as few complications as possible and no feelings. She thinks it’s a huge mistake but she’s running out of ways to save her bar and there is something about Roman’s offer that has her seriously considering it.

In true Ria Wilde storytelling, it’s not only about the romance. This story has a danger, suspense and a cast of character that fill the world making you want more.

Roman falls first and he falls hard but he’s too afraid to admit it both fearing her running away and worried about increasing the danger.

Niamh has no idea how to handle Roman and he slowly chips away at her walls until she figures out their marriage isn’t fake anymore.

I hadn’t picked the twist; Ria Wilde did a great job of keeping it a secret till she was ready for the reveal and I thought it was a great story line.

Roman Knight alone is a reason to love this story and if I could I would defiantly wear his hat because as Ria Wilde says, “Wear the Hat, Ride the Cowboy”.

Can’t wait for the other brothers to follow Roman and head back to Knight Falls Ranch

Happy Reading.

Say You Need Me by Ria Wilde

I love a cowboy romance that includes a fake marriage and is set in a small town; I will devour that story! And I did!

Niamh is lost in grief from losing her dad, and to add to her heartbreak, she is drowning in debt and close to losing the bar she and her dad opened together. All of that misfortune works out well for Roman. He is poised to inherit the farm he’s dedicated his life to after his grandfather’s passing. As one last gesture of love from his grandfather, a clause was added to his will: Roman must be married to gain the deed to the farm.
Roman is so broody and anti-relationship. After finding Niamh trespassing on the farm to swim, and then again at her bar, he decides she’s the one to marry—she hates him, so it’s perfect.

I love it when he falls first and dives headfirst into the “my wife” yearning, and it was everything. Watching the walls come down from both characters was at just the right pace, and with the drama from Roman’s dirtbag of a dad, the story was such an amazing read. Some of my favourite parts of a good book are the fantastic characters around the main characters, and getting so excited to read their stories in the future.

ARC REVIEW

I think Ria Wilde is nailing these cowboy romances!! After reading Steel & Sin, I knew this book would be a knockout as well! Niamh is a strong, independent, hardworking woman dealing with grief and debt. Roman is a hardworking quiet type where everyone in town knows his family name and ranch, but hardly knows anything about the brothers. With everything Niamh is dealing with, adding a marriage contract was not ideal, but a need to survive. Never have let anyone in, this was new territory for Roman and something he had to do to have the ranch in his name. The chemistry and connection between Niamh and Roman is instant. They both don't know how to handle each other, but have such an attraction. This is definitely a slow burn, but once the it gets going, IT'S GOING HOT AND HEAVY. This book is filled with mystery involving the death of Roman's mother, drama, action, and the navigation of new grounds between Roman and Niamh. I really liked the side characters in this book especially Remy, Roman's younger brother. The plot is fast paced and engaging. I hope Ria Wilde continues to write more cowboy romances cause I think she has really made it in this genre!!

I absolutely loved this book and these characters! I found Ria last year when I read her dark romance which had major mafia vibes. When I saw she was going more cowboy romance I thought hmmm okay? Can I vibe with this!?!

Well the answer is heck yes I can! Regardless of the theme Ria does such an amazing way of creating fictional men who are just so yummy. They are alpha, strong, devoted and become men obessed with their women. Roman the oldest brother who is devoted to his ranch was no different. He was grumpy, determined, and fell hard for his woman.

Ria does a great job of creating characters with such great chemistry, fills her books with angst and emotions that have you falling in love with them. It’s not just crazy spice and no depth. You get to know these characters and see their inner doubts, emotions and are always rooting for them.

I’m always a big fan of grumpy alpha men and she did such a great job with Roman. I can’t wait to learn more about the other brothers and continue this series. I highly recommend this one!

4 ⭐️ Marriage of convenience , cowboy romance with swoon worthy moments that gives you all the feels . Can’t wait to add it to my physical library .

Niamh has everything working against her , and is struggling to keep her life in check . Roman is a broody wealthy cowboy looking for a wife . When their needs align they agree to marry for a year with the promise of walking away with no strings attached . Emotions are heightened and lines blur and faking does feel so fake after all.

Loved the natural chemistry between the two , the way their emotions felt so real through the page . The real expectations, the emotional realizations of feelings being discovered . His broody tendencies and spicy mouth , made me crave more . I love a man that claims his wife , and protects her peace . This was a sweet, heartfelt small town romance , with realistic connections and emotional growth . Looking forward to the rest of the series !

Y'all I don't know what Ria puts in her books but i swear it's addictive!!!

This was such a sweet story. Both characters went through their own versions of grief & struggles. Both went through the battle of strong independence resulting in loneliness that they didn't realize until they had each other.

The way that neither of them wanted to cave but ultimately fell into it with each other.

Roman & Nimah communicated so beautifully about their fears. They both continued to do what they love and find peace with each other. Plus the way Roman loved Nimah endlessly despite himself? The way he just looked at her when she didn't know. It was a beautiful journey & they deserve this happy ending! Such a fun cowboy romance!

TW: Grief, mentions of murder, attempted murder, physical assault, FMC in danger, violence.

Wow what an amazing book i was obsessed with this book from start to finish i ended up reading it in one sitting because i could not put it down. This book contains some of my favorite tropes. I loved the suspense element this book had to it and so glad after years that the brothers now have their justice against their father. Roman has worked on the ranch all his life and for the ranch to become his properly in the will his grandfather made it clear that Roman need to Marry and be married for a certain amount of time then the ranch could officially be his. I loved Roman's character throughout the book and his love for Niamh that grew more and more each day his a big softie for the people he loves and will do anything to make sure they are safe and protected. I adored Niamh personaility after everything she had been through she had her walls built up mighty high but slowly Roman was able to get through them. Niamh and Roman chemistry was hot and heavy they really balanced each other out. I can not wait for the next book in the series to come out.

I received this book as an ARC in return for my honest review

Sweet cover, spicy and suspenseful story.

Don’t let the sweet cover fool you this book brings plenty of heat and suspense. Every character was enjoyable and feels like a strong addition to what promises to be an engaging series.

The story kicks off with a fun marriage of convenience between Roman and Niamh (pronounced Neeve, a beautiful name, even if my brain struggled with the pronunciation every single time it popped up 😅). Their banter was entertaining, the suspense and mystery kept things moving, and watching their relationship unfold, along with their past struggles, was genuinely satisfying.

The emotional buildup paid off, the journey was engaging, and in the end, everything came together in a way that felt earned.

**Trigger Warnings:** blood, violence, guns, knives, murder (and related themes).

Thank you to Ria Wilde for sharing this ARC. All opinions are my own.

I just know this is going to be an amazing series. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for the first instalment and let’s just say I devoured this book like it was my last meal.

Roman and Niamh were so perfect together, readers who love dirty talking protective cowboys will be foaming at the mouth for this 🤤

I love how being a fake marriage trope the connection built so earnestly and genuine you can’t actually pinpoint the moment it changes.

Adding the suspense was just chefs kiss for me, as it adds so much connection between the characters for me as a reader. The were multiple times I was kicking my feet, squealing and melting into a puddle 🫠

I seriously can’t wait for the rest of this series. Ria Wilde I definitely think your calling is cowboy romances 😂🥰

Fans of Ava Hunter, Catherine Cowles and Maggie Gates this book is right up your alley!

I was given an ARC for an honest review and all opinions are my own. Thank you for the opportunity ❤️

Give me cowboys, a touch of suspense, and a whole lot of romance any day of the week! I absolutely ate this book up—especially Roman. I knew I’d be a goner for this story based on the tropes alone, but the chemistry between Roman and Niamh truly stole the show.

The story follows Roman, who must marry to inherit his family ranch, and Niamh, who is drowning in debt after caring for her late father. From their desperation, a marriage of convenience is born! Ria Wilde did a fantastic job with this trope, seamlessly weaving romantic suspense into the mix. While marriage of convenience is a common theme in romance, Ria did it justice by keeping the plot just as gripping as the romance itself. 4.5 stars!

Thank you so much to Ria for the eARC! <333

𝙎𝙖𝙮 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙉𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙈𝙚: Knight Falls Ranch Book 1 by Ria Wilde

Having read Ria last cowboy romance I was expecting great things and already loved what this was offering set in Montana, romantic suspense, Cowboy with the marriage of convenience who ends up down bad for his wife. This don’t disappoint. I really felt like the suspense was good and also gives that little something to add in with the slow burn. The little twist to the danger she added just made it even better. I loved Roman Knight and found I was just a little in love with him too. He was so sweet on Niamh Calloway and really wanted to take care of and protect the people he loved. You get the happy ending. After getting to know Silas Knight single dad of two young kids I can’t wait for his book.
She really knows how to give us a good Cowboy Romance.
