About the author

Deborah Malone has a degree in Human Services and worked in the field for several years before starting her writing career. Deborah’s first novel, "Death in Dahlonega," finaled in the American Christian Fiction Writer's Category Five writing contest! Deborah was nominated for 2012 and 2013 Georgia Author of the Year Award in Novel category. Deborah was awarded the Georgia Author of the Year Award 2018 in Inspiration Category. Deborah’s Bible Study, “Bloom Where You Are,” won second place in the prestigious Selah Awards in Bible Study category. She is a member of the Georgia’s Writer’s Association, Atlanta Writers, American Christian Fiction Writers, and Advanced Writers and Speakers Association. She lives in North Georgia with her husband, Travis.

This book was a lot of fun to read. It's a cute cozy mystery....perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon read.

What I liked: I loved the author's writing style. A touch of humor was added to cute phrases that made the book enjoyable. I loved the way the main character, Trixie, talked to herself continually, and her thoughts were usually cute and funny. It made her seem actually human. Her grandmother, fondly known as "Nana," was quite a character. She was the life of the party. I also loved the references to Chattanooga and its local attractions.

What I didn't like: The only negative thing I can say about the book is that the plot seemed simple and predictable. However, a simple plot is usually the norm in a cozy mystery.

Over all, I give this book five stars. If you want a quick read on a rainy day, this book is perfect, and if you live in or near Chattanooga, you will love the local references. Good job, Ms. Malone.

This final book in the series was by far my favorite and I never saw the ending coming LOL. I will miss the antics of the 3 lady's Trixie, Dee Dee and Nanna.

This book was a Christmas gift from my brother. A cute mystery but I really liked the Chattanooga references and history the most. (extra points for that!). There is some humor added in too. Just a sweet cozy read from a local(ish) author.
