Can’t really say too much without spoiling it. I will say it’s a great continuation to the story and I can’t wait to read more. These books are gripping. Once I started I was hesitant to put down until I’ve finished it.
So here I am, a senior citizen reading this book about high school teens and loving it. I was warned by the author is was a twisted novel and she was right. The twists and turns kept me up all hours to see what would happen next. Amazing and haunting. Good job Atty!

Controlling Cossette continues from the conclusion of My Beautiful Suicide, and it is definitely advisable to be familiar with that book before commencing this, the second in the series.
Being impressed with the originality and pace of book one, as well as being intrigued by the futures of the main protagonists, this reader came to this second part with pleasurable anticipation combined with the expectation of something n ...more
If you like them dark and twisty, this is a series for you!
This book went in a different direction from the first book, this one was more about Cosette and her addictions and need to control! While the first book reminded me of the movie Heathers, this one didn't at all! This book picks up right where book 1 ends and it ends leaving you wanting so much more. There were times when I thought "OMG, what am I reading" and times when I was thinking "this is so F'd up" and I loved all o ...more
Another dark & twisty book in the series, this will take you in, chew you up & spit you back out. Starts where the last book left off, and the you thought you were off that crazy ride, but now it's back!
Mind-bending, twists, intrigue, and darkness all mix and mingle in this second dose. Take it, and enjoy the ride!
This is like a car wreck you can't turn away from. Whereas the first book saw a young girl fighting deep depression and truly horrible things happening to her, this book is the birth of a serial killer. That part honestly didn't bother me - it's teenage Dexter. But the sex - we're talking fade to black, but orgies - it was a bit much for me. I think it's that they are teens and we're still observing them in high school.
We're observing a true sociopath be born and it's disturbing. Also d ...more
For those who have not read book 1, stop reading this review right now and go get it. You will be glad you did. Although there is a lot of reaching back – so you are not lost when meeting the characters, and the situation...more
Okay now this is more like a Dexter reincarnation. Except Dex is a girl (Cozy), Hannah Mckay debuts in season 1 (My Beautiful Suicide) instead of season 7 and Harry (Officer Jenny Crance) is still alive. Also unlike in Dexter, everyone knows about Cozy's dark passenger. The blood on the paper towels thing also brings me back to Dex. Of course there are plenty of things that make it different which I'm still in a love-hate relationship with. I'm really happy Chris ...more
I was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I grew up with a short-tempered, alcoholic father, and faithful Christian mother. My escape was reading and music. I think I was the only kid with my nose in a book during the Air Force Academy football games.
As a rebellious teen I was very self-destructive and always getting into trouble. Needing a change I followed my father's footsteps and jo ...more
