A book in true WW2 fashion, this book is in the trenches with a nurse overseas. You can almost taste the mud between your teeth and feel the cold seeping into your bones between the patient care this nurse provides. The history is amazing in it, and I am looking forward to the third book that should come out this month.

My Review:
"Maggie's Misson" is the second book in the "Love and War" Series by Rachel D Muller and it is just as good as the first " Letters From Grace".

"Maggie's Mission" starts when "Letters From Grace" leaves off and you can enjoy the story without reading "Letters From Grace" but I think it would be more enjoyable reading the series in order.

These stories are about war and the tragedies of war are included in the stories but these are written very well and they really make you appreciate

Rachel and I were chatting the other day and she laughingly told me she went on about her book on purpose – it was all part of her devious plan to get me to read it and like it and become completely and totally obsessed with WWII fiction!

Well… she missed the first bit. One of her mentors, Sarah Sundin beat her to it – as in I read Sarah’s book before I read Rachel’s. And after that yes, I was hooked!

But if Rachel had not talked up the genre, I would most likely have never even looked twice at Sa

Maggie's Mission***** book 2 Love & War series by Rachel Muller

Maggie has enlisted in the Army Nurse Corps—to help save lives—and is stationed in Germany. This is an amazing and inspiring story showing how Maggie and the other characters in the story live and work in the medical camp for the wounded soldiers that come from the battlefield. Maggie faces many challenges, not all related to the war all around her. Some challenges are from her past as her heart aches for her boyfriend, Danny Rus

Oh my… I’m speechless — or close to it!

How do I describe how amazing… how wonderful… how awesome… the Love & War series by Rachel Muller is to me.

The first novel completely caught me off guard. Forgive me, Rachel, but I only offered to read and review it because you’re such a dear online friend.

How was I to know that I would be bowled over by the intensity — and the realism — of the story. I completely fell in love with a genre I had never, ever been interested in!

Oh well, I’ve read a story

I loved Rachel's first book in the series, Letters from Grace, and had been watching for the release of this one. I loved it as much as I did the first one. One again Rachel leaves you feeling like you are in the middle of the action and experiencing the things the characters are going through. Even though it is a sequel and it was good to pick back up with the lives of the characters from the first book, it can be read as a stand alone. The story is a beautiful testimony to God's love and direc ...more

Maggie’s Mission is a wonderful inspiring romance. The heroine and hero’s faith in God even when things seem hopeless, is what keeps you turning the page. They both believe that with God all things are possible. Even at WW2’s front line of Germany, or as a POW it is their faith that pulls them through. I was giving Maggie’s Mission as an advance copy for an honest review; I read this book in a day and without hesitation give it five stars. You meet characters from the first book in the series bu ...more

The second in the Love and War Series, Maggie's Mission is a highly engaging historical work that was well-researched. Not only did the reality of wartime sink in while reading, but the complex emotions the characters felt were interwoven page after page as the story unfolded. Faith was brought into the story in a natural way that progressed as the characters developed their own faith responses. I would highly recommend this book to anyone that enjoys historical fiction, or to those who are inte ...more

This is the first book I've read by this author and enjoyed every page! I love Christian historical romance and this was such a great story line with great testimonies throughout it. Maggie was a dedicated nurse who wanted to help others and nearly gave her life to work the front lines in Germany. She thought her life was all mixed up, yet The Lord had worked out every detail...a great story of love that endures!!

This book is so well written! The research the author did before writing the book is so evident in her writings. I love learning history through historical fiction! I loved learning what nurses went through treating patients from the front lines. I look forward to reading more books by Rachel Muller.
