Kelsey Grammer: The True Story

Rate this book
Here, at last, is the real story of a star whose early life reads more like a Greek tragedy than a TV sitcom. Grammer's father was murdered when Kelsey was 13 years old, and Kelsey suddenly became man the man of the family. His sister was raped and murdered when he was 21, and his two half-brothers drowned a few years later. Includes 8-page photo insert. Original.

This book was written so long ago that honestly it only tells half the story of Kelsey Grammar. He had 2 more wives since the book was published. The story of Kelsey Grammar is very intriguing and I will be reading more about his life, hopefully in newer books with more up to date information. The tragedy that Kelsey endured growing up by losing his father, grandfather and the murder of his sister is absolutely horrific. It certainly helps you to understand why he has/had drug and alcohol issues. This was a solid read, just too dated now.

I got this book from a "mystery book bag" from my local Goodwill. My boyfriend dared me to read it.

No mention of "Sideshow Bob."

Needing a break, I decided to pick up this book and then the memoir written by Grammer himself, both published in 1995. "Trashy" literature, but written like "true Hollywood" television.
