Rate this book
The Health Reference Series is a source of health information for general readers, comprising some 50 volumes by the end of the 1990s. This cumulative index covers the first 42 volumes (1990-98), making it easy for readers to find all of the volumes in which a particular subject is treated. The bulk of the book is a subject index, containing entries compiled from indexes of all individual volumes in the series. A name index contains names of specialists, researchers, doctors, and authors, and an organization index includes references to government agencies, medical and research institutions, foundations, and organizations. A publication index provides titles of all articles, books, and other material reprinted in the series. There is also a list of acronyms and abbreviations, and a complete catalog with brief descriptions and full bibliographic information for 82 published and forthcoming titles in the series. Editor information is not given. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
