I quit reading the book after the doctor responded to a woman's question of wanting to stop nursing her 2 year old with the following advice: "Your milk has lost most of its nutritional value anyway". I don't know where this author is getting her medical information from, but it certainly isn't the Journal of Human Lactation, the World Health Organization, the American Academy of Pediatrics, or La Leche League. If she had, she would know that breastmilk becomes more nutrient dense as a child grows older. They take in less volume, but per unit of volume (ounce), the milk is more dense in nutrition (fat, proteins, carbs, immune cells) than 'newborn' or 'infant' milk.

I only read the part about 15 month olds. I was interested in a part where it talked about how if kids get too stressed and anxious by parents yelling at them or not responding to them when they are young, it will effect their abilities to cope with life normally when they are older.

This I have more as a resource than a "parenting book." I just like big books with charts and pictures and such :) to be honest. But I like this book ;) in that way.

Good to see different parenting experts together in a book. Makes understanding some of our toddlers more challenging behaviour easier.
