As the publisher of this book, I refrain from rating it. However, lovers of intelligent, complex, and well-written stories will enjoy this journey beyond the world of reality and deep into the human heart. I am proud to be associated with this book which will be available January 31, 2015.

The Toll of Another Bell is a bit of a fantasy mash-up, if an entertaining one, its magic and mayhem swirled with a bit of sci-fi and a dash of historical imaginings. It veers through a wide speculative spectrum, casting forth myths, enchantments, magic, strange creatures, and mad science in its wake.

Here are some quick thoughts on each of the stories.

Breath: This story is soft and subtle, with a seamless blend of character and parable. The setting and fantasy world is rich and creative, a delic

The Toll of Another Bell is a fantasy anthology with retellings of myths, paranormal tales, hero origin tales and sci-fi from a range of authors. Most had some connection with a mythical, future or alternative earth.

I enjoyed the variety of perspectives, styles and approaches. There were a couple of typographical errors and perhaps some stylistic issues in one or two of the stories but I found most, if not all the story lines intriguing. My favourites were "Breath" by Jodi L Milner, "Phoenix" b

As one would hope of a fantasy-themed collection, “Toll” displays a vast diversity of imagination. But more than only stories to tickle your flights of fancy, these are, on the whole, stories to make you feel. Stories where the pain of what’s lost is but one turn away from the finding of something more.

Some highlights for me as a reader included Jodi L. Milner’s elemental myth “Breath”; the humor winking from F.M. Longo’s tale of spies and samurai, “Naoki no Yokai”; and “Phoenix”, Elise Stephens

Multi Author Anthology....

This is a collection of many sub genres. It was a wonderful way to get a look into several different stories without the wait through hundreds of pages. You will get a look into fairy tale, fantasy, mythology and even a little steampunk.
Each one individual in that you might have a light easy read, or you be taken to another level of deep intrigue.

This is an eclectic collection of short stories with many subgenres from fairy tale to fantasy, mythology and steampunk.
Some are much deeper and take more focus;
others are lighter and lean more towards fantasy delight.

The collection starts with BREATH, when Fauna, the Eternal Guardian of Souls, the only one in her family with a beating heart, who is responsible for comforting and guiding every creature everywhere. She has only raised one creature herself and now he has matured and is ready to fi

I enjoyed this new anthology of fantasy stories: The Toll of Another Bell. One of the stories included in the collection is Jilted River by Ginger Mann: a great tale about an Appalachian fairy tale that attracts visitors to a state park, but then they start to disappear.

Fifteen-year old twins Trystan and Wagner live with their father, a Park Ranger frequently called out to rescue people stuck in "the Hollows," a deep sinkhole off limits to hikers. Daredevils attempt to access the area, ignoring
