This Series Of Animal Books For Kids Has A FREE Bumper Pack Of Gifts Inside!
This is the first kid's animal book in the “Guess and Learn” animal series and is the start of a wonderful collection that will help teach your child about numbers and animals.
This book is just a short teaser to introduce you to the series.
In this series I try to focus on younger readers who still need that visual content to help in understanding what they are reading.
These Kids Animal Books are targeted at 3 year olds and upwards and are designed to be read with a parent or guardian.
Questions and answers within the book will keep your child focused.
The book series has a simple layout so your child can follow along while reading or being read to.
As you can see, I have added as much learning information as possible without making the whole thing seem overwhelming.
As well as learning about animals there is number learning too. At the top of each page I have included the number of the page written in letters and as a number.
Book Section Numbers Each section starts off with a number at the top of the page. The number is written in letter form and in number form. This will help your child understand how to recognize numbers in both forms.
Fun Animal Silhouette Images Below the section numbers are the fun silhouette images. With the Guess and Learn books you and your child can have fun looking at images of animal silhouettes and guessing what animal it is.
There will be a short list of answers to choose from and on the next page the real animal will be revealed. There will also be some short fun facts to read through for each.
Real Animal Photos Once your child has chosen their answer you flick over to the next page to see if it is the correct answer.
The image on this page is now a REAL photo of the animal. Now your child can see what that particular animal looks like in real life.
Kids Animal Books Guess and Learn Series The Guess and Learn series are a fun collection of interactive learning books that are fun to read anytime, including bedtime.
Your child can look at the interesting animal shapes and then guess the name or type of animal it is. Flip over to the next page where the answer is as well as a real photo of that particular animal and a list of fun facts.
This book is fully illustrated and has simple blocks of text that will make learning fun for your child
Your child will be learning in a relaxed and fun way.

This book is part of a series called, "Guess and Learn" all of which are great for bedtime reading.
My professional life has been spent as an early childhood educator with a strong background in preschool age children's pre-reading skills. Animals: Guess the Animal is a wonderful book to use to increase these skills. Associating page numbers with written words shows language relationship. The fun game of guessing animals from shapes makes the book interactive, which increases learning. The few facts are age appropriate. My only suggestion would be to have colored photos so the child can see and learn one more detail about each animal. This is an excellent pre-reading non-fiction book.
Loved this book better than her other animal identification book. This book includes a picture, 4 choices of animal identities, then tells us what it is and facts about the animal. Recommended for all animal lovers.
Very informative. Cute concept. My 3 year old really enjoyed guessing the animal based on a silhouette. I learned things about the animals reading it to him.
I like this book because this book has 17 photos of animals and guess the animal shadow so it was a new book my Dad want's me to buy that book for me and when it comes it will be in tee package and when i open the package I saw a book with a banner on it so that was I like it.
I am going to use the review from "What Animal Is This?" as basically these are about the same books. The only difference that I could note is this would be the one for slightly older readers since instead of having a cartoonish animal as a clue the animals are provided in silhouette.
Although still retaining some of the same editorial issues as a few other Selena Dale books, this one still has reached its goal in my opinion. Although I don't have a 3-year-old to test the book out on or know someone that does the formatting is simple while fun at the same time.
Even though it is interesting to see the number at the top of the page both as a numeral and as a word I don't think it will be too important to the youngest of audiences unless their parents are working on that learning. Instead children will be more attracted to the multiple choice option, the cartoonish hint of the animal and slowly learning how to pick each animal out from one another.
It doesn't hurt either for parents to read this book to their children for they are able to read about the animal habits relating to each "discovered" animal and have them study the photograph that has been included in the work.
My only true complaint with this book and it just may be with my computer program is that the Kindle app doesn't set all the answers or guesses on the opposite page so it was like: What animal am I? A Bear! without being given a chance to guess it.
Checked this out in advance for sharing with future grandchild. Thought the silhouette format, followed by a photo and about 3 quick facts was just about perfect for those with short interest spans.
Was surprised to learn a few facts I never knew such as goldfish having teeth and how long a rabbit lives. Sort of like a virtual behind the scenes tour at a zoo.
Nice to learn that the author has additional animal books focusing on a specific animal or characteristic (such as speed)once the interest in a specific type has been piqued.
Four vs 5star because of grammar issue - ie there should have been their. Might not bother a lot of people but really did for me, especially in a book a child might read. Easily fixable and preventable.
My 4 year old granddaughter loved this book. She knew every animal shape. She even told me some facts on the animals! This is definitely interactive and a bunch of fun for a knowledge thirsty young one.
Thank you Author Selena Dale. This is the first thing I have downloaded from you. You hit a home run and my granddaughter said to tell you, she really really liked it!
So, have some fun with your little one tonight. I guarantee they will have fun! Oh, also...we didn't use this but if your child gets stumbled, there are lists you can have fun with in getting them to pick the right animal! If you aren't good with animal sounds, get ready to practice!
This book is cute and educational. The kids loved guessing which animal the shape was. My son is almost three and he over telling me what he knew about reach animal. There are a lot of good facts about each animal. There are nice pictures of the animals as well. *I got this book for free in exchange for an honest unbiased review. This has not influenced my opinions on the book.
The audio should help kids learn to read but the audio actually says that "·" reads as the words little dot. Not helpful to a young child learning to read. I found the info too much for a three year old...ditto on the silhouette shape.
This book is meant to be read by children with their parents. It has a guess the picture then fun facts about each animal. Some of the facts are week known while others are not. This book will be enjoyed by all who read it.
