It took almost a year to read

While I sincerely thank the author for his service, I found this book to be a very slow read. Sometimes boring. This book however, is well written and I did finish the story.

I have read numerous books by soldiers of their experiences in Vietnam and although I'm glad you returned safely, you're was the most boring.

Not much action, but intelligently written. You had one of the least adventurous times in Vietnam that i have read about. You're probably the most honest guy i have read. Everyone else writes of non-stop action.

Enjoyable read. Well written

Enjoyed very much. I think a picture book would also be a hit. Thankful to all the men that served and shared thier experiences with the rest of us to try to understand. Well written in my opinion

This not your usual Vietnam war story. But perhaps it should be. It probably depicts the kind of life most infantrymen had, at least in the earlier years of the war. I recommend reading it. Now I want to go to the next exhibit of Burchik’s photos and see the story in a different way.
