For 300 years a war has been fought in space. A war which was meant to be humanity's salvation. Controlled by a centralized computer and fought by genetically created clones, this is a nice, neat little war which shouldn't go wrong...
But all that is just about to change...
A random factor has entered the computer system and sent it spiralling out of control. Now humanity must face the realities of war for the first time in generations. And all that stands between the world and total destruction is a computer hacker called Dirk and two space combatants called Ylon and Blast. But are they up to the task, or is it already too late?

I had this book sitting around since I was about 12, and never read it. I finally determined to read it, and thoroughly enjoyed it... even though I'm now 24 and it was obviously aimed at kids! :) (What does that say about my level of reading?)
Parts of it might seem just a little patronising to any kids who are into computers... or maybe it would just seem ancient and outdated with today's kids. It's a little predictable in places, but enjoyable and exciting nonetheless.
