The artist and writer couple, Peter and Susan Barrett, have created in this 140-page, richly illustrated book a fitting swan song to their long careers. Susan was born in Devon and grew up there before leaving for London where she met and married Peter. Very soon they went to live in Greece, to see if they could paint and write for a living. It turned out they could. Peter, a successful wildlife artist, has illustrated the books of well known naturalists such as Desmond Morris and David Attenborough, while Susan has written and pjublished 14 novels, the first seven with traditional publishers in UK and US and a further seven self-published more recently. "Devoted to Devon" demonstrates their individual talents as well as the way those talents combine harmoniously.. The result is a highly individual book that takes the reader on a journey through the lanes of Devon and the lives of this talented couple.
