This is an absolutely amazing read, that puts J.E.B. Stuart in a light that you've never even thought of him in.

If you want a summary of the life of Jeb Stuart, this is a good book to read. Short and concise with many anecdotes of his life that are humorous and moving. Jeb Stuart is often thought of as a "dashing calvary officer with a huge plume" and not much else, but there was much more to him than that. One of my favorite things about this book is that it shows Stuart as a humble Christian whose duty to God was the foremost thought always in his mind, even to his last breaths. Stuart's last dispatch personifies everything about him: "Fighting against immense odds of Sheridan -my men and horses are tired, hungry, and jaded, but all right!"
