Nothing tastes as good as chocolate…until it nearly kills the hot hockey star of your dreams.
Dani I had a vision when I made fudge for the team's homemade Secret Santa exchange. It didn't involve nearly killing Trent Kirk, the hot hockey star I've been obsessing over for months, but here we are anyway. Now, he's insisting that I spend Christmas break helping him recover. His idea of healing and mine are not the same. His plan involves me naked in his bed. Mine? Well, maybe they are the same. But he's hockey royalty, and I'm still Googling how to talk to men. There's no way this is going to work…right?
Trent My imminent death masquerading as chocolate was fate. Now, I have an excuse to get Dani Frost out of the training facility and into my bed. I've been obsessed with her since she told me to strip the first time. But convincing my mouthy little physical therapist that I'm the man of her dreams before Christmas? Well, I'll think of something because there's no way I'm letting her go now. She nearly fudged me to death. That basically means we're soulmates. And, rules be damned, I will be keeping her.

This one was a cute novella for me. We have Dani who works for the team making sure the guys are good has a sorta crush on Trent. And he has one on her so he takes up all her time lol. She accidentally poisoned him with honey since hes allergic and takes care of him. Lol its cute there is alittle we cant because we work together from Dani side but it wasn't to bad.
I was alittle suprised with the lack of spice. Since nichole does do spice alot. But its okay.

This story is simple. The H is a veteran hockey player, and the h is the physical therapist. It is the Christmas season and there are secret santa gifts exchange. Our lovebirds are secretly in love with each other, and Trent, pretends to have back pain for the three months since they met and secretly follows her around when he is not in her office. Dani is too shy to shoot her shot, thinking he isn't into her in that way, and even if he were it could cost him his career and hers. The story starts after they met 3 months ago, so they tiptoed around each other for that long before the story starts. He eats the fudge she made but it contains honey which he is highly allergic to so our heroine takes him to the hospital. That scene is pretty funny since he cannot speak properly because his tongue is swelling, but still manages to flirt with a panicked Dani. She is worried she almost killed him while he is just trying not to scratch his ass covered in hives in front of his sunshine. After begging her to be his personal nurse, they spend days and nights in each others arms. Finally after 3 months, it took fudge and a trip to the hospital for these two to get together and it is a sweet rom com with very little angst. There is a Christmas party he wants to go to with her but she is not sure they should be seen publicly together. They do go together and it is amusing. He is proud to have her as his woman, beaming at having her in his arms, but she is afraid of abandonment and judgment. She has had a rough life and is afraid of loss. Trent shows Dani that he is here to stay and they are meant to be together forever. The sex would be hot if it were DV, but I am glad we had no history on him (it is a low bar with NR because she is known to be mercurial when it comes to the men and the unfairness unnerves me). When it is shoved in our faces many times that she is a virgin, I anticipate him responding back that he is too so that our heroine can have the right to claim him just as much as he claims her, but to be met with silence instead, it is as disheartening as if you say to someone you love, 'I love you', only for the response to be, 'Mmm hmm, that's nice.' That is how I feel when there is unfairness between the hero and the heroine in terms of experience; the hero gets to claim all of her, but I have a feeling it is not the same for the heroine. It is simple for me, if its not dual virgins, I am disheartened and saddened; it is just my personal taste. In general it was sweet but I will not reread it. I get having a Christmas story in December, or have a Christmas in July story, but not in October. That was a dumb choice. October is spooky season! Happy reading
Lighthearted, steamy, holiday-themed hockey romance between Dani, a physical therapist, and Trent, veteran player hottie and strictly off limits to her as a member of the team she treats. A not-so-secret Santa swap results in Trent having an anaphylactic reaction to a sweet treat Dani made, resulting in a trip to the ER. As a condition of his hospital discharge, Trent demands Dani accompany him home to monitor his recovery. One thing leads to another and feelings give way to action.
I received an advance reader copy from Instalove Influencers, and I’m sharing my honest review.
This story focuses on Trent and Dani. Dani has been working as a physical therapist for a big name hockey team for a few months. She has been trying to find her footing and nursing a crush on one of the players on the team, Trent. Trent has had his eye on Dani since she started with the team but hadn’t found a way in with her yet beyond scheduling a lot of sessions with her. When he eats the fudge she made and accidentally has an allergic reaction to the honey in it, Trent takes full advantage of the situation and gets to work on finally making Dani his. I loved the two of them together! This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

Nichole Rose brings a darling laugh out loud steamy hockey romance. I could totally relate to Dani’s running brain talk as she tries to function in an overwhelming hockey environment while quietly having a mind affair with the hot Trent Kirk and hiding herself in her work as team PT. Trent is just as much vulnerable but determined to find a way to make Dani his. A little Christmas treat disaster, an EpiPen and a little fudging on truths by Trent puts them is steamy proximity. Loved the banter, the slowburn to sizzle, the team chaos, the bravery and the heartfelt HEA. I received an advanced copy of this book and this is a voluntary review.
This book was so cute! I loved almost every moment of it. It's very much instant-ish love with an MMC doing everything he can to get our girl's attention. This is a short, quick, steamy read with tons of laugh out loud moments. If you need something light and easy, definitely check this one out.
Anytime we have Nichole Rose and hockey players... I know I'm going to be a happy girl. I absolutely devoured this book, the same way our poor Trent devoured the fudge... thankfully, with better results 🤣. I laughed so much 😂. I swooned over our obsessive, smexy, grumpy to everyone but Dani hockey player 🫠. I paused for a glass of water.. 🥵🥵! I just absolutely loved it 😍!
Oh my gosh this was such a fun and heartwarming story.😍😍 Dani is the physical therapist for an ice hockey team. Trent is one of the hockey players and he is obsessed with Dani. He saw her and instantly knew she would be His . A fudge and an anaphylactic shock later Trent finally has the chance to get Dani in his house and in his bed😏 Now he just has to convince Dani that he wouldn't hurt her and that it's the real deal between them. Instalove, fun to read, great banter, sweet, romantic with spicy scenes, safe and absolutely drama free 😍😍😍😍😍 and with a sweet HEA as well😍
Dani Frost is the new physical therapist for the Chicago Wind hockey team. She has been there for three months. She makes homemade fudge for the Christmas party which is the day before Christmas Eve. She leaves it in the general PT area and goes into her office. On her schedule today is Trent Kirk. Dani has had a crush on him since she started. She always gets nervous around him. She is generally awkward socially which is why she is still a never been kissed virgin.
Trent eats a couple of pieces of fudge before Dani starts working on his upper back. All of a sudden, Trent is having an allergic reaction. He is allergic to bees. Dani put honey in the fudge recipe forgetting that Trent is allergic. She administers an Epi Pen and rushes Trent to the ER. She is mortified. Trent has liked Dani since she started. His back is fully recovered from his fall, but he still puts himself on Dani’s schedule twice a week just to see her alone.
The ER releases Trent as long as there is someone to drive him home and keep an eye on him for the next twenty-four hours. He is not supposed to do anything but rest. Dani planned on driving him home, setting him up with fluids and calling his brother Noah to come stay with Trent. His brother Noah is a detective with the Chicago Police Department and is on a case right now. Trent guilts Dani into staying with him.
These two were so cute together. She is generally insecure and traumatized since she grew up in foster care. He is afraid to quit playing hockey because that is all he knows how to do.
Nichole does it again giving us a banterful, instalove, Christmas time romance between Trent and Dani and I loved it from the start.
Dani is one of the team physiotherapists, and Trent is a veteran hockey player on the team. They've both wanted one another since meeting, but neither have made the move. Until a piece of fudge made by Dani takes down Trent, and a plan forms in his hazy mind to finally get his girl.
I'm absolutely loving being in my instalove Christmas era 🎄❤️

I'm absolutely loving being in my instalove Christmas era 🎄❤️
Oh my gosh, this book was awesome! I swear, I laughed my butt off SO many times then minutes later I’d be melting at how sweet it was. Especially Trent—a pure cinnamon roll hero if there ever was one, sweet as sugar and three times as hot.
Don’t miss this Christmassy hockey romance… it’s hockey light really with it being just about the players but I don’t think even hardcore hockey addicts will mind as Trent falls for Dani, his physical therapist when he fakes an injury just to get her hands on him. When her fudge sends him into anaphylaxis… and the ER… he’s ecstatic as he FINALLY has her undivided attention when she stays with him—out of pure medical necessity, of course (riiight). Not that Dani minds as she’s been scribbling their name together and planning her wedding to him practically from the first glance. I could go on and on because it’s just that good but for time’s sake, I’ll just say, grab it, you won’t be disappointed. 5++ stars
I received a copy of this book for free but am voluntarily leaving a review.
POV: First Person, Dual MMC/FMC: Trent (hockey player) and Dani (physical therapist) 3rd act breakup: No, but I thought there was gonna be for a minute there. Instalove: Instant attraction that we don’t see. We see them 3 months after meeting. Series: Yes, Trent’s brother is next! Spice: Average Writing: Nichole kept my interest. It isn’t a meet cute; maybe kick start cute? I love the beginning. It is so relatable and believable. The book is mostly over the course of a few days but love doesn’t feel rushed. They’ve been falling for each other for 3 months. Editing: No editing issues detected. Read this author before: Available on KU: Yes. Trigger Warnings: I don’t think so but maybe if you have allergies (or a child that has allergies) it could hit close to home for a few minutes. Should you read it: Yes!!
This is the ultimate in rom-com storytelling! I honestly don’t feel bad about having laughed through the entire incident where Trent reacted to Dani’s fudge, but I couldn’t help myself! Poor Dani feels horrible for almost killing such a hockey legend by fudge, but, honestly, everyone else’s reactions…!!!
This is a lighthearted, funny holiday story about two people finding their way to each other. Both have spent the past several months mooning over the other, and through the calamity of an allergic reaction are able to spend their first holiday together. And the team interactions between the two main characters just continue to add brevity to the whole story. Well worth a read if you’re looking for sweet, funny and entertaining!
Accidentally Fudging the Beast is a delightful standalone hockey rom-com, and I completely gobbled up Trent and Dani's love story! It was just as quick as Trent could devour Dani’s fudge. Even though Trent found himself in the hospital because of a tiny allergic reaction to a substitute ingredient in Dani’s recipe, he’s making the most of it. Now he has Dani right where he wants her—cozy at his house for the holidays, keeping an eye on him to make sure nothing goes wrong!
I absolutely loved Trent and Dani! Their playful banter had me laughing out loud, and their chemistry is just sizzling! I can’t wait for Trent's brother’s book to come out in the future!

At just 155 pages, this was one of the shortest books I’ve picked up—and definitely the quickest. I devoured it in half an evening! There’s no slow build or backstory; you’re dropped straight into Trent and Dani’s world. While that fast start kept the pace moving, I did miss having a little more world-building to fully connect with them. The author sprinkles in pieces of their upbringing, but not enough for the deeper attachment I usually feel in longer romances.
That said—this book still gave me all the cozy feels. Trent and Dani’s banter was adorable and added just the right spark to keep me turning the pages. Their teasing moments were my favorite (and honestly made the story feel like wrapping up in a comfy blanket).
This is an absolutely adorable hockey holiday rom-com Trent and Dani's story is a fast and funny steamy read that really gets you in the holiday spirit. Their story is so relatable,we can't wait for the two of them to admit their feelings for each other and get together. Dani is the PT for the hockey team that Trent plays for and she's been obsessed with Trent for a while. When Dani decides to make fudge for the secret Santa she has no idea how that one decision will change her life. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this absolutely adorable hockey holiday rom-com to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book. I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a fun rom com with a hot mess of a couple and I loved every second of it. I loved that Trent was so desperate for her, had a serious side when needed, but also had the maturity of, well, a hockey player! Dani was awkward, didn’t put up with anything and so funny, but she was also vulnerable and shaped by her past. They were perfect for each other and the steam was oh so steamy. This is a feel good, no drama, no third act breakup kind of book and it was great! No cheating or OM/OW drama, virgin FMC (unknown for MMC), dual POV, HEA and an adorable epilogue 5 years in the future. I cannot wait for his brother Trent’s book, I just know it’s going to have the same energy and be even better!
The start of another great series by Nichole. She is the Queen of Romcom’s. This story has banter, a hot hockey player and a (kinda) shy physical therapist. All it takes is seeing Dani across the room and Trent knows she will be his forever…now he just has to convince her. He’s doing all he can to show her that not only is he interested but if she gives him a chance, he won’t ever let her go. Trent is a total sweetheart to Dani and worked hard to break down her walls. Dani has had a crush on Trent since she first started working for the team but she has it in her head that he will never see her as anything more than a physical therapist. Little does she know, he sees her as so much more… Will Trent get his wish and get the girl? Will Dani’s past affect her future? 5⭐️ 3🌶️
Trent and Dani Trent is a 38 year old hockey player and Dani is a sports PT. They have more than hockey in common. They are obsessed with each other but don't know quite what to do about it. Her job complicates it slightly, but Trent uses it to his advantage, faking back pain to get to see her. She can't tell if he's flirting or just being "one of the guys" with her. But the day she brought her secret Santa homemade fugde and the guys a plate, she started the unmasking of feelings for them both. Because fudge made with honey ate by a hockey player allergic to everything bees doesn't bode well for life, epi pens and chaos ensued. Definitely a HEA
Absolutely and totally the best story about finding love!
This is a beautiful story about individuals who never thought love with a capital L would be possible for them. I enjoyed all the little thoughts and actions each character dealt with as events unfolded. There are those who are convinced they will never be truly loved, but if we communicate instead of procrastinate we can have those impossible moments in our life. This romance was awesome to sit back, read, and honestly enjoy!!!!!
Nichole Rose did it again with this rom com. I probably shouldn't have laughed as hard as I did when poor Trent was almost dying due to Dani's fudge. This book was hysterical and sweet. I loved every bit of it. Trent's teammates are a hot mess but I am hoping we see books for them in the future. Dani and Trent are perfect together. If you want to laugh, some naughty times, and a love so sweet then this book is it. Loved it. 5 stars!!
If you're looking to feel every emotion this is the book for you. I loved this story so much. Dani and Trent's chemistry is off the charts. A secret Santa exchange gone horribly wrong brings the hot hockey player and his team's physical therapist much closer than either of them planned. It's a story of love and healing. I highly recommend this story. Nichole Rose only gets better with each new story.
Dani is a no-nonsense team physio, and Trent is the veteran player she definitely shouldn’t want—but does. And the feeling’s mutual. When a piece of Dani’s homemade fudge sends Trent into an allergic reaction, he hatches a (slightly hazy) plan to finally make his move. Cue forced proximity, flirty tension, and some serious holiday charm.
Festive, fun, and full of chemistry, this was a feel-good read.
Thanks to Instalove Influencers for the ARC—this is my honest review.
I received this as an arc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This was an amazing workplace romance. It was a really well written story with lots of humor, heart and steam. I loved the mutual obsession and pining for each other that Trent and Dani felt. They had such wonderful chemistry and the banter was amazing. It was definitely one of my favorite books by this author.
This is and holiday hockey romance about Dani, and Trent, hockey player who she feels like she doesn't have a chance with. A not-so-secret Santa swap results in Trent having an allergic reaction. With a trip to the hospital and being discharged, Dani has to watch over him to make sure he is ok. This book was good and light hearted and you will love it.
Dani is shy when it comes to Trent even though she does imagine being his future wife. Unfortunately a severe allergic reaction brings Dani and Trent together when he eats some of her Christmas fudge. Trent loves that he can finally be close to Dani but Dani can’t believe she caused him to have a severe reaction. Their story was so funny and romantic with Trent reassuring Dani that he will always be there for her.
I absolutely LOVED it!!!! I was laughing so hard at times I was crying lol Trent & Dani are true soulmates!!! Their obsession with each other was so cute!! My heart hurt for all Dani had gone through 🥺 Trent was there for her and they healed each other!! The smexy times between them was HOT AF🔥🔥🔥 I loved this book so much!!! Can’t freaking WAIT for the next one!! Highly highly recommend this wonderful book!!!!!
Sweet story from start to finish. An easy read, very light and a nice break from the world around us. I enjoyed the story even while I wanted to shake them both about communication and being truthful with one another about how they felt about each other. Still, a fast and fun book from one of my favorite authors.
I received an ARC of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Dani and Trent seriously cracked me up! Trent had some serious golden retriever energy going on, meaning Dani could do no wrong - including accidentally sending him to the hospital. From her side, I think she was just terrified to believe she had a chance and was throwing ever excuse in the book at him. Thankfully he wasn't going to stand for that. Cute read, can't wait to see where the rest of the family goes.
