Four Year Vow #1
Four-Year Vows
Vanessa Pepper has always put everyone else first—her career, her marriage, her life. But when the quiet cracks in her marriage become impossible to ignore, she faces a choice she never stay in the comfort of the life she knows, or take a leap into the unknown.
A message from an old flame, a trip to sun-soaked Antigua, and a revolutionary new law—the Four-Year Renewal Act—force Vanessa to confront love, loyalty, and her own desires. With every decision, the stakes get her heart, her marriage, and her future all hang in the balance.
Full of passion, humor, and real-world tension, Four Year Vows is a contemporary romance about the courage it takes to fight for love—and, sometimes, to fight for yourself.

Unfortunately, this book had so many 1-3 word sentences, wrong spelling of their, punctuation was misplaced throughout making it confusing to even understand what the author was trying to convey. The storyline was annoying with reciting her student loan debt and the year she’d pay it off and then changing those details throughout the book. I was hoping this would’ve been better since it was a short story.

This one feels more like a prequel/short story/novella. Just a little baby book.
There were a few repeateditive parts at the beginning.
I'm interested in what will happen in book 2 of the series (which is a book I won in a Goodreads Giveaway.)
I'm still trying to decide, personally, how I feel about having to renew your marriage license every four years like a drivers license. I can see pros and cons but it goes against my own personal beliefs.

Very interesting concept, marriage renewal every 4 years. Does it make it easier or harder to commit. Each person has to answer that question themselves. Quick easy read.

I liked the story itself, and it was a quick read. Unfortunately, there were many spelling, punctuation, and capitalization mistakes throughout the book.

I received a copy of this from a goodreads giveaway.
Very short book took me less than an hour to read and rated it 3 as it did give some good reflection questions.
It focused on love and the choice to do without restrictions. I think the concept of government controlled marriages was intriguing and honestly not that far out of the realm of possibility.
Nice simple read about choices and actively choosing your partner.
Doesn’t go into much detail hence the length and I feel like it skims many topics to focus on the overall theme of the story.
