“Take ‘em off, Tucker. Tucker. Tucker…”

What had he been thinking? He considered himself a careful planner, the consummate decision maker. He’d worn many hats—inventor, Ranger, mentor, CEO. So how had he wound up on stage in nothing but his trousers and tie beside two cover models, with a hundred women screaming for him to take it off. That’s the question his friends and f

Ridge Romano is in the fight of his life on Capitol Hill. He’s using every resource he has to make sure a bill passes in order to give money and healthcare to veterans. Everyone is depending on him and he has to overcome insurmountable odds. One brief encounter with a beautiful redhead changes everything.

Buffy has left the modelling world behind (as well as her Lana persona) and she’s determined to make her talent/cover model photography studio a hit. She has the contacts and ability to make it

My first major issue is with the blurb because it portrays the book as something it's not really. Yes the stripping on accident scene happens, but it's over by the second chapter and doesn't encompass the overall feel of the story at all.

This isn't some zany Rom Com that brings with it a lot of laughs. The first chapters are like that, then we're into a story about a guy fighting for veteran health care after the loss of his brother because of a PTSD related suicide. As well as a female lead wh

Ridge Romano, while following a gorgeous woman in his hotel, stumbles into a romance conference and is mistaken for one of the gorgeous cover models on stage!! He is confused, but starts to enjoy himself and get into the action, entertaining the wild mob of attendees. He is photographed, and the photos leak to the media. He is in town as a consultant for the military. The photos taken will definitely not help his mission.

Buffy Calloway is a model, whose face and body are recognizable world-wide

I have to say this is one of the best written stories Ive read in a while. I loved the way this was written and the story it tells. This is not a short read, but also not one of those books that have you skipping paragraphs (sometimes pages) to find stuff relevant to the story. The author does a very good job of letting you get to know the characters in a way that feels natural and flows all in good time. I love that you adds the romance industries struggles into her story, and it is also done i ...more

Ridge is in DC for business and just happens to run across a romance writers convention. Before he knows it, he is on stage impersonating a book cover model. "when was the last time he’d done something just for the fun of doing it? For the kick." Buffy is at the convention to drum up business for her new business when she sees Ridge in stage. To say there was sparks flying would be putting it mildly. "People need hope. They need to believe that things will work out, problems can be overcome." Bu ...more
Before something happened....

We should always remember that thought. You never know exactly where our actions will take you. BUT. If our actions take you in the direction of this story? Well.... not something I would turn away that's for sure. The characters here fan the fire at a romance convention (*snicker*) and keep the fire burning for a really long time.

There is a part near the end of this book that brought me to tears...I was sobbing. This book is dedicated to veterans and it's just a be

I loved this story, Ridge is in DC trying to get the government to pass a bill to help veterns health care after his brother died from PTSD. He follows a red headed girl into a romance writers convention, and before he can blink he is dragged to the stage, as they think he is a cover model. Buffy came to the convention to get some new leads for the business she wants to start. When she sees Ridge on stage, she can't keep her eyes of him and vice versa, and she knows she has found the perfect per ...more

good love story

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were wonderful and the story was great. Most of all, it brings up the troubles that vets are having getting help from the VA for their ptsd and other medical problems. My dad was a proud WW11 vet til the day he passed and he had many problems getting help from the VA. I hope all of you that read this find a way to give a helping hand to our wounded warriors.

Livia Quinn grew up near DC—go Redskins!—then moved to the bayous of Louisiana—go Saints! Yes, she’s a huge football fan.
With a life long fascination, read that: phobia of storms, and with severe weather a part of life in Louisiana, it was only natural that it would play a big part in her world. Livia’s Storm Lake series encompasses paranormal on the West end of the lake in Destiny and military r
