Really good, short read. I have found it to be perfect for New Year’s Day! Very refreshing, lovely, and thought-provoking.

This book brought me to tears at points. The poetry and photography are beautiful.

I found this book secondhand years ago. I plucked it from the shelf, flipped to a random poem, and felt a connection to it. Then I moved across the country and lost track of this book. Sure, Twas there on my shelf, but I wasn’t in the mood for poetry and grabbed others instead.

Finally, I came to a place where I needed a poem about love and our connection with the world. Never before have I felt so deeply moved by a collection of poetry.

I bought and read this book when I was in college. I liked this book then and I still go back and re-read my favorite passages from time to time.

Simple yet complex... an enchanting journey into one’s heart and mind, the forest, the Earth... a breathtaking book. I found my copy at a yard sale years ago, am so glad I came across it!

A gem from the 70s written mostly in free poetry, some prose, along with shorter sentences alongside beautiful black and white photos. Centered on love, examined from many angles. Within this narrative on love the author weaves a repeating theme of nature as a guide for humans. Ultimately, Rinder sees love best expressed in actions.

A sweet and soulful book on love in nature and ourselves. I love the 1970 edition with all the hippy pictures
