VIP spin-off can be read as a standalone.

Brooke
I’ve come from a privileged life and an even more privileged upbringing. My parents taught me right from wrong and everything in between… except I wanted the gray area. I wanted to live life on the edge with the possibility of falling over. I didn’t care about the consequences because I had no heart…
I left that on the floor of my parents’ bedroom door, shattered.
And never went back to pick up the pieces.

Devon
Family first.
I learned the meaning of the word hate.
I learned that life is a battlefield and I stood frontline.
I learned that praying doesn’t work and God doesn’t listen.
And I learned how to be a man…
All at the receiving end of my father’s fists, my mother’s tears, and my sisters screams.
You can’t run away from your past…
It will always find you, especially when you’re asleep.

I never thought I would be capable of falling in love with you, and now I don’t think I’m capable of falling out of love with you.

There is so much I want to say, but I really can't, and I really wish I could but then you'll hate me for it... Once again M. Robinson has twisted a tale so intense that you will hate how much you love it. The entire time I was stuck alternating between Love and Hate. The build up and history provided for each character is so detailed that they become real and a part of your life. You learn everything about them that will help you empathize with their past, hate them for the choices and wish them nothing but happiness. Their story is far from the norm, and it makes it unique, it makes it special and it makes it all the more fucked up....because their journey is one to experience.

Brooke came from a perfect home, a privileged life never having to need or want anything. Taking for granted, not the materialistic things, but the love that was shared freely and openly. So when the picture is tainted and perfect home is really not so perfect, it tears her up from inside, losing her heart and end up spinning out of control. It would be a couple years later where she finds her real home, knowing very well that this is where she belongs and this is what she was born to do. She doesn't do it for the money, she does it for the control it gives her, the feeling of being needed and above all to be desired.
We made men fall in love with us, not because we wanted to. But because we could. I was the illusion. I was the dream. It was a game. A game I wanted to play.

Devon came from an abusive home, forced to be the man of the house at such an early age, it never gave him the time he needed or the chance to come to terms with his nightmares. Dedicating his life to providing for his sisters and his mom, making sure that under his watch they will never want for nothing and be the happiest they have ever been. Throwing himself into being their savior and protector, he looses his focus on taking care of him. He relies on his business to provide him the means to keep his family safe, a distraction from his demons and to find his next sexual release.
Devon was love… his kindness, his smile, his laugh, his words, his caresses, his control… all of it.

Devon and Brooke share the same best friend, Ysa. And when the time came for Ysa to bring her two worlds together, she didn't know how explosive it was about to get. Brooke wanted what she couldn't have, a good man with a wicked smile. Devon wanted the lady beneath the act, his Bambi with the big eyes. What was supposed to be nothing but fun, turned into two broken souls seeing right through to each other, scaring and drawing each other in with no way to let go. An arrangement of fun, with no string attached, the only rule, VIP plays no role in their time together' it'll be just Devon and Brooke; no bullshit and games. Thus beginning their world-wind adventure of lust and happiness...and the four letter word no one wants to hear.
The way he affected my mind and my heart was petrifying, but it was so real. The emotion… I could touch it. I could feel it. I could taste it.

For the first time things are great, but too good to be true, having the best of all worlds. But what goes up must come down... When their world collide, and the reality is no longer hidden behind the illusion, everything crashes down...
I wouldn’t come out alive… But neither would she. I would take her down with me.

It's a vicious cycle, hurting yourself by hurting those you love ... How can two broken people heal each other, how can two people who don't love themselves ever let them be loved by someone else ?!? Can you forgive the unforgivable, can you heal from a lifetime of hurt, pain and guilt?!?

Tempting BAD is a full length stand alone novel, even though it is a spin off you don't have to have read the books prior to enjoy or understand this one or worry that by reading this it will give anything away for the other books. I think what I have come to love about the author stories is that it isn't the ending that I anticipate, it's the journey.

She has done such an amazing job, bringing everything to life, dragging so much emotion and reactions out of you. I may not have agreed with the way they chose to live their life, or their fucked up mentality, but I respected it for what it meant to them...a means to their happily ever after. A way to find something beautiful after a life time of being lost. Devon managed to be an alpha male in his own rite who wore his heart on his sleeve, the ultimate nice guy who was capable of very wicked things. Brooke was temptation incarnate, she can seduce the devil with her ways. She was the calm to his storm and he was the mirror to meet the girl she truly is.

This is an erotically charged book, with many delicious scenes, bringing in experiences that other authors would shy away from. There are no apologies made, no fakeness in their actions, everything had a purpose a meaning. This book will most likely offend people, pushing peoples limits, but you'd be amazed on what you can actually handle. It was angsty, without it being gut wrenching, it was beautiful and heartbreaking in their own special way, I was able to smile, swoon and shatter; all in a matter of pages.

Everyone deserves a happy ending, especially those who have hit rock bottom.

If you read VIP you probably already fell in love with Brooke and Devon. Tempting Bad is the provocative side of their story, a side that will be heartbreakingly beautiful and with the signature level of naughtiness that only M. Robinson can deliver.

Devon might only seem like the sexy Alpha Male bar owner who works hard and plays even harder but there's definitely more to him. He is haunted by a horrible childhood that left him with a lot of emotional scars and a constant need to save and protect those he loves the most. Devon has felt lost for a long time, battling demons of guilt and pain but one day he will finally find his safe heaven inside the heart of the girl with the big beautiful blue eyes.

Brooke is the ultimate VIP, she thrives in sexual pleasure; feeling wanted and powerful is all she ever wanted. Love has lost its meaning since Brooke had to experience first hand that those two words don't always hold great meaning. When she first met Devon she was helpless to the need to be owned and controlled by him in the bedroom but the more time they get to spend together the relationship will turn very intense, almost like a dangerous addiction.

From Ysa, Sebastian and Madame will play big roles in the journey toward peace and redemption for Devon and Brooke and just like everything in life, those things that are worth the most are the ones that cause the greatest pain.

True to M. Robinson style there's never a dull moment in the life of her characters. You will love them, hate them and lust for them with equal intensity. She loves to shock her readers and open their minds to a world where love has different shades and where the heart reigns over everything else.

Tempting Bad is about two popular secondary characters from the VIP Trilogy. Brooke and Devon share a very close friend, Ysabelle, and have gone years without actually meeting one another up until the last VIP book where they then become very much acquainted. **raises eyebrows** Brooke is a VIP. Devon owns a bar. So here is a quick background on what is VIP: Very Important P*ssy, an exclusive escort service to extremely wealthy from around the world; sheiks, politicians, princes, celebrities, Doctors. I know what you’re thinking…Yes, this includes both men and women.

Brooke is a woman use to getting what she wants from the opposite sex just as Devon is a man of equal standing when it comes to women. He owns a bar in Miami and he’s HOT so as you can imagine he’s being hit on constantly. However his main problem is that he takes the women home. Brooke on the other hand does not take work home, she has a penthouse to play in. **wiggles eyebrows**

Alright so here is when things start to get interesting, after meeting these two hook up. During these hookups a friendship develops. Devon manages to have Brooke do something she has not done in years, take the heels off and wear *gasps in mock horror* SNEAKERS. No but really he allows her to let her hair down, to not always be in VIP mode, to instead be in Brooke mode. Though Brooke catches on quick she is far from ready to tuck away her f*ck me heels. In fact as things begin to unfold Brooke sets her sight on the crown. She wants to VIP.

My Sweet and Sour
My Sweet - I LOVED the way these two accepted one another flaws and alllll. And trust me there was a lot going on.
My Sour -This one scene where a breaking point is reached…It just shattered me to pieces. Like my whole being just shattered as the exchange went down.

What Readers should know : Both Brooke and Devon’s characters are introduced in the VIP Trilogy. While a small part of this story could be considered a minor spoiler to some I do believe this book can be read as a standalone. Honestly a TON of things happen in the VIP Trilogy so getting this one piece to a huge story overall would not ruin the experience the book has on readers

My Thoughts
M. Robinson NEVER disappoints me and if something is off and not flowing right within the story or with its characters…well, I just tell her. LOL! No but really, I was immensely taken in by these two characters. That’s her strength when writing; she nails her characters. You meet them and get an understanding of what they want, desire, need even when they can’t see it, even when certain things have yet to be revealed. She tells the story with dual alternating points of view so that we are able to get in to a character head. Readers will often find themselves invested immediately.

The writing is hard hitting, she prefers to hold no punches and tends to go straight for the wind pipe with her hits. The direct approach mostly, giving you characters that are forward, honest and approachable though not willing to fully give their self to another…Thus creating a bridge to one of the conflicts present between the couple. The flow is face paced, yet careful and dare I say methodical. Yes, I believe I can as each character and their experiences are well thought out.

WARNING: This author has NO PROBLEM with pushing her characters’ to their limits right along with your sanity. Don’t say I never warned you. **insert sinister laugh here**

My Ratings
Characters- Seductive in every way
Writing Style- steamy, vividly descriptive, emotionally charged and WILD
Plot/Storyline- A guy falls for an escort and her for him. But what she wants does not exactly line up with what he wants. And the past comes up uninvited to bite them in the butt. Can they have true love and survive the storms that come to take them out.
Steam Factor- Lo-Med-Hi I say High, On a scale of 1-10 I say 10+++
Entertainment Level- On a scale of Lo-Med-Hi I would say HIGH
Overall- I loved love LOVED it!

Now go forth and read. Then come tell us about it on Goodreads!

Ummm...Being BAD Never Felt So Good, especially when reading TEMPTING BAD by M. Robinson. Sinfully sexy and tantalizing!!! That pretty much sums up my feelings when I was reading this book.

Tempting Bad is a spin-off of the VIP trilogy and it chronicles the tale of Brooke, a VIP and Devon, a bar owner. In the previous books, we all got a taste of their distinct personalities. Did we really know them? Well, the answer to that is simple. Looks can be deceiving and behind their strong personalities, lies a facade. One is haunted by a past that continues to haunt his daily life. And one is blinded by hurt, anger, and sex when it comes to opening up her heart to LOVE. Can two broken people who comes from two different sides of the tracks mend their broken hearts and heal each other? They say LOVE can HEAL but is love enough to heal years of hurt and pain.

I know there are readers who are on the fence when it comes to liking Devon. But let me just say, that I actually liked him from the beginning of the series and I was so happy that he finally got his chance to finally have his side of the story of explained. There are two sides to every story and Devon is finally given the chance to be transformed from the misunderstood friend to the hero. Devon's past is truly heart-wrenching and devastating. His past is what makes Devon the way he is now. His tormented past could of have closed off his heart but it didn't. It made him a MAN worthy to be loved and to love.

#TemptingBad1

Brooke, on the other-hand had a complete upbringing than Devon. Her wealthy upbringing and loving family was what every household envied. Loving parents, loving sisters, and a beautiful home. But behind the white picket fence, lies secrets. Secrets that would destroy Brooke once she learned of the truth. They say the truth can set you free but the truth only destroyed Brooke and left her an empty shell. The once happy Brooke who believed in love, fairy tales and prince charming is now left as a woman, who is cynical and doesn't believe in true love. Love is for the weak. Sex is for pleasure. And money and power are the only thing that matters. Or is it?

#1booty

When Devon meets Brooke for the first time, he is instantly drawn to the feisty blonde bombshell. With sexual tension buzzing between these two, can these two strong personalities get along in and outside of the bedroom. And the answer is YES!!! It's EXPLOSIVE!! That's one way to describe their relationship. It's a game of push and pull when it comes to these two. She constantly pushes Devon to the boundaries when it comes to the sexual energy that she personifies. But Devon sees through Brooke's intentions, and shows her that he can play her game and outsmart her. What this little minx didn't realize was that slowly, he was breaking down the walls surrounding her heart. And what Devon wants is the real Brooke and not Brooke, the V.I.P. And Devon is the only one who can see past the makeup, fancy clothes, and money. He is the only one who can look into her eyes and understand everything behind them. So behind the most beautiful eyes, can Devon unlock the secrets and pain that Brooke hides?

#TemptingBad2

Tempting Bad will tempt you with its heartbreaking, emotional, and of course it sinfully sexy story line. M. Robinson was able to create two broken individuals who are worthy of love and the HEA. Though their relationship is not what you consider the norm, but what relationship is perfect. In life we are all tempted to be bad and sometimes being bad can be justified when it comes to LOVE. When you truly love someone, sacrifices and compromises be made. And Brooke and Devon reminds us all that their LOVE is not PERFECT but their LOVE for each other is what TRULY MATTERS. So what can I say but go read Tempting Bad as M.Robinson will have you emotionally connected to Brooke and Devon.

Tempting BAD is a full length stand alone novel even though it is a spin off from the VIP series you don't have to read those before this..

The story of Brooke and Devon

M.Robinson has knocked it out if the ball park yet again..How could you not love this book!! I think this for me is my fav within the VIP series..It just pulled on all my senses more than the others, the characters had more depth, battle scars, emotionally stunted from childhood experiences, I connected with these two characters more than I thought I would..loved every single second, minute, hours I spent with my nose between the pages of this book!! Just wow!!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Loved Devon's over the top alpha male tendencies with the need to get his own way, very entertaining!!

Took me a while to jump on this book and I'm way behind schedule with my review due to moving house but I am so glad that last box is put away so that I could devote my time to devouring this..

Emotionally raw, beautifully written, easy to get lost within the pages..

The perfect parents, the perfect marriage, the perfect house, all hidden within a perfect illusion..

BROKEN

A night that changed Brooke's life forever and moulded her into the perfect VIP

Good lord... what a bumpy ride!

This book gutted me. I already know going into one of Robinson's books that she is going to rip my heart out, but since her storylines are pretty unpredictable, I still always feel stunned and broken hearted when the author takes her strong characters and breaks them down ruthlessly. Oh how it hurt when Brooke and Devon hit rock bottom. But, have no worries, they do get their HEA.

Oh, and don't even get me started on how dirty this book is. All I can say is that Robinson is a very kinky and imaginative writer. She writes some of the most erotic sex scenes that always leave me panting for more.

Robinson's writing is addictive, original, and unique. I feel consumed by her stories. I'm sad to see this series end, but it was a great ending to a fabulous series. This book can read as a stand alone, but personally I recommend reading this series from the beginning. The first three books in this series is on sale in a bundle for only .99 <-- awesome deal!

Just when you think M. Robinson can't bring you a hotter book, she does just that and blows you away!!!!

HOLY FREAKIN HOTNESS.

Brooke... wow. What a strong lead. She is beautiful, desirable, brings every man to their knees. But there is so much more to her that we don't know. So much depth. Her thoughts, her past, her present. We see all she's gone through and how she wound up where she is. I LOVED her!!! One of the best female leads I've read!

Devon... holy Book Boyfriend material. He is HOT, sweet, sexy, and OH MY GOD, is he crazy wild!!! I loved him. He made me swoon. My heart broke for him and all he went through.

The chemistry between these two is immeasurable. My kindle was on FIRE, along with other, ahem, thing!!!

Do yourself a favor and add this to your TBR and be ready to be glued to your kindle. M. Robinson is a must click author for me. She knows how to write one steamy book!! AMAZING!!! Loved it!!!

This book is a spin off from the VIP series. It can also be read as a standalone.

This is Brooke and Devons story. If you've read the VIP series then you've met them before. They are two damaged souls. Out of all the characters in this series these two are definitely my favourite.

This is a dark and gritty story. The author gave me an emotional roller coaster of a story that I literally inhaled. Loved it.

I'm still reeling from what I read. This is NOT your everyday romance, it isn't light hearted. It isn't for the faint of heart or those who are looking to read about flowers, romance and chocolate.

No, this is not a book for you if that's what you're searching for.
This is for those who want to have their heart ripped out, stomped on by a couple hundred buffalo, lit on fire, shoved in a tiny box and mailed to Istanbul, where it's taken hostage by terrorists and then, maybe just then returned back to you in a battered but genuinely cherish black box.

Devon and Brooke are written in the stars, they are destined for great things but in order to get their they have to trudge their way to through the darkest pits of hell, sometimes I didn't even think they were going to make it out. You just knew this book was going to do things to your heart from the very beginning.

M. Robinson did a stellar job at this book and I can so very clearly hear the sad classical music playing for days on end while she wrote this book to get herself into the dark place needed to be able to capture her audience the way she did. She captured it perfectly in the prologue, "People have said to write about things that you know, things you've seen or experienced. That's what makes a good writer... to have had first-hand knowledge of the feelings, you're trying to portray and be able to relay it on paper. Pull emotions with your words and make people feel. Everyone wants a good story, something that will pull them in and take them away from their life and mundane routine. To be able to live the life of another person, and experience their journey through the blank ink that's printed on perfectly white paper."

While I'm not sure the author has experienced those things in real life, I sure as hell believe she did with the expert way she sucked me into Devon and Brooke's world. The way she made me feel their hearts breaking or the way she made me feel when you KNEW they KNEW they loved each other but still couldn't get over their hang ups to admit it.

I started into this book and no matter what I could, should, would have done I simply couldn't do anything other than immerse myself in the VIP world. I found myself struggling to concentrate on anything other than what Brooke would do next. I freely admit I wanted to STRANGLE this girl many times throughout the book and I just wanted to wrap myself in the comfort of Devon's arms, sailing away into a happy oblivion but while I wanted those things, I'm glad it was delivered the way it was. Every turn was exciting (or devastating depending on what event was happening at the time).

Brooke is a beautiful woman who we are introduced to when she is sixteen years old, this book progresses over MANY years (one of the facts I simply LOVED). She discovers a dark secret that forever changes her world. She destroys all relationships because of it and never figures out how to 'deal' with it, therefore she hides from it. It can't kill you, if you don't acknowledge it's there right? WRONG, this girl is one big ball of chaos and turmoil. She has the attitude like this "I didn't care if it was for a day or for a night, a weekend, or a month. I wanted the feeling that sex gave me, the reassurance that came with every moan, every orgasm, every thrust. It was the thirst for the feeling of being the only girl in the world."

She may have thought that's what she wanted, until Devon exploded into her perfectly organized world. He brought out a side of her she wanted to keep tucked away but no matter what she tried, he pulled on her heart strings, he set her free in a way she was terrified of, so she did what any emotionally disturbed person would do, she ruined it.

I was the fantasy.
I was the dream.
I was an illusion.
I was VIP.

She fought for this motto and no matter what Devon did, she couldn't let it go. She felt like being a VIP was the ONLY thing she was and the great and evil Madam, ever so kindly stood by her side and tore her down further. Every time it seems liked her and Devon were moving in the right direction, that evil woman would step in and drive the point back home, that Brooke couldn't have her happily ever after or she was just one big giant hypocrite.

I was the girl your parents warned you about.
The one they told you not to trust.
The one to stay away from.
The one that could break your heart, and go back for more.
Just because I could.

I just couldn't believe her when I read this statement, anyone could see that Brook was so much more than this. If only she would open her wings and let Devon's love for her take her to unimaginable places. I fought for them just as much as they did in this book. I was screaming on the inside and felt like I wasn't ever going to get through to them.

"You make me think about the future, Devon. You make me want a future".

Devon was a devastatingly handsome man who came from a childhood that no one should have to endure but he grew up, he was successful and a father (oh yeah, wait til you read about that one *shocked*). He became everyone's protector and caretaker. He was a genuinely wonderful man who didn't understand it but somehow I think he knew that Brooke was 'the one', though he knew he'd have to walk over hot coals and through burning bushes to get to her.

They destroyed each other.
They tore each others hearts out.
They ripped away each others dignity.
And never looked back.

Until they did.

The coming together of Devon and Brooke was a heartwrenching story to read and there were truly times I didn't think an HEA was in the cards for them, they'd seen too much, they'd been through too much, but I was so very elated to find the pot of gold at the end of the bloody rainbow for these two I wanted to jump up and down and clap my hands like a walrus.

Absurd, maybe. I just really get into a book that's packed with this much action. I felt like I was truly watching this play out, observing through a looking glass and I loved every single moment of it.

M. Robinson has shown her vibrant colors here, she has taken a story that needed to be told. I now fully understand what she means when she says these characters talk to her, she did them justice.

Simply. Outstanding.

Overall Opinion: This was an ok read. I haven't read the VIP series before, but I don't think that really affected my opinion on this book. I feel like it was all over the place. We get a really in depth history of the MCs for most of the book, then they become friends with benefits, then they break up, then they live happily ever after. It had some hot scenes for sure, but the rest of the story I felt was lacking. I wouldn't say that I hated it though...especially because at one point I had tears streaming down my face -- so obviously I was invested...but not going down as one of my favorites. This also does not make me want to read VIP because it seems to be going on in a parallel timeframe as this one, and I'm not interested in Ysabelle's story because of all the drama we experienced in this one because of it.

Storyline: This is Brooke and Devon's story. This is a hard one to summarize...I'm going to put a summary spoiler here...I'll try not to give too much away:

The book starts with a history of each character's starting at the age 16.

Then the duo meet through a mutual friend, Ysabelle. They have an instant connection and become friends first then friends with benefits. Both of them have demons to face from their bad pasts, but they end up helping each other through them and fall in love.

This is where the story made another turn (and for the worse in my opinion), and their relationship became kind of toxic...so there are some major spoilers here...so enter at your own risk...

POV: Alternating between Brooke and Devon's POV

Overall Pace of Story: Slow at some points, then rushed at the end...not so great.

H rating: 3 stars. Devon. I liked him at the beginning until the turns in the story at the end. I liked how protective and loving he was for his family. I felt for him regarding his past, but I just didn't think his behavior towards the end was inexcusable.

h rating: 3 stars. Brooke. She was ok. A broken escort with a messed up idea of love...what more can I say?

Angst level: Moderate. Major drama, and I did need some tissues for this one...but I wouldn't say it crossed into ugly cry category.

Heat level: High. Some major hot, steamy times in this book.

Descriptive sex: Yes

Closure: This had a really abrupt ending in my opinion. I didn't like the ending at all. It had an epilogue, but that is when they get back together...so no commitments or real closure was made. We do find out that both of them had individually worked on their own issues...which I guess is a start. I still say this is a HFN ending at the most.

Whew! What a rollercoaster ride. If you’ve read the VIP series, you know that Brooke is one of Madam’s employees- she’s a little (okay maybe A LOT) on the wild side, extremely sexual and daring, but also very damaged from her teen years and on. This book covers many years and I actually liked reading about how Brooke and Devon were before they met each other.

Brooke is in high school with what she thinks is the perfect life. She’s got friends, a love interest, her parents are very rich and they’re very good to their children. One night, Brooke comes home early, her mom is away and her dad is there with another woman. She listens in and finds out some extremely damaging information. This is all the catalyst for why Brooke becomes a VIP and doesn’t get attached to anyone throughout the years.

Then we have Devon. (if you don’t remember him from the VIP series, he’s the bar owner where Ysabelle first starts to work when she arrives in the area). His family life is the EXACT opposite from Brooke’s. His dad beats his mother almost daily. He tries to protect his mom and sisters from him. Years later, Devon is about to graduate from college with his masters degree when he finds out he inherited a bar from a deceased family member. He takes it because he wants to help out his mom and sisters. The bar is very successful so he’s pretty much rolling in some money and loving the female companionship that comes with it.

Brooke and Devon have an instant connection and what follows throughout the story between them is at times unhealthy, but they also have some very real moments together. When things were good between them, they were really good. When things were bad between them, it was pure angst. I was a little frustrated with Brooke’s inability to commit to Devon, but also with Devon’s inability to get help for his PTSD from his childhood. Which I know happens in real life, but I found myself as a reader wanting him to ease his suffering. Both of those issues kind of kept their relationship in a state of limbo for a lot of the story.

The sex was hot in this one. I think hotter than the other books in the VIP series. Let’s just say Brooke and Devon are VERY down with experimenting in everything sexually. And there is a ton of sex in this one. I love a good sex scene and this book had many.

All in all, I enjoyed this one. It kept me intrigued and didn’t bore me one bit. I loved the scenes where Brooke felt like she could just be herself with Devon and his family. The angst and some of the situations that happened towards the end really fit in with their relationship and I applaud M. Robinson for keeping with that character consistency even though I’m sure it couldn’t have been easy to write.

I received an ARC of this book in Exchange for a honest review. I have read all of M. Robinson's books, so I could not pass up reading this one. OMG every book i have read by M. Robinson has been better than the previous. This book by far is the best she has written. I am truly impressed with the writing and the connection of the characters have with each other. Also, the depth of emotion in the book makes you feel. The Author can make you laugh, cry, piss you off, and cry again all in the same book. Wow just wow!damn girl gif
Brooke starts out as your everyday spoiled, popular girl at school, liking her best friends brother. She comes from a loving family but finds out a secret that puts her life on a different path. She ends up a VIP, she loves being VIP, no one made her feel different until Devon.

Devon came from a rough childhood, due to his abusive father. He would beat his mother and him but so far left his sisters alone. Than one night changed everything. Older Devon works his ass off to provide and help his mother with his sisters, he is a very stand up guy. He meets Brooke after his divorce, when a mutual friend introduces them at a dinner. From than on things get real interesting. I believe in non-spoiler review go read the book!!! I can tell you by the end of book i was a emotional mess!!!

This book is by far the best work by Author M. Robinson till this day. She has the ability to make you feel what the characters are feeling and that's what I truly felt.

In Tempting Bad we get to see what Brooke and Devon went through in life, before they even met each other. Brooke had the life anyone would want, but you could feel what she was going through knowing what her parents did. To me Devon, I could relate to cause when growing up he not only protected family, but loved them with all his heart. To this day Devon had regret that he didn't do enough to protect his mother and you feel what he was going through within himself.

I'm not going to lie at times, I wanted to slap Brooke, I felt the struggle within herself. On the other hand Devon was this smooth talking man that had me hot and bothered all over that I had to put my kindle down at times. Through out this book we get the drama, lots of HOT sex that will have you doing things you probably never thought you would do and a story about two lost souls. Trying to find there way. I never thought I could feel what Devon went through cause I went through it growing up, but I cried for what he went through as a boy, but what he was still going through as a man.

Overall this book was truly a fantastic read and I'll be reading it again in the future. This is a spin off from the VIP Series can be read as a standalone. Don't think about if you are going to get this book go one-click it today. I promise you'll feel things within yourself that you never thought you would. Author M. Robinson is truly a gifted writer that, I know she will put everything into her stories. It make you come back for more and more.

I was given an ARC of this book from Author M. Robinson in exchange for an honest review.

M. is one hell of a writer, she puts everything into everything she writes. I am honored to call her an amazing author and awesome person.

I think Tempting Bad may be my favorite book of hers at the moment but they are all freaking amazing.

This is the story of Brooke and Devon. It has heart breaking moments and steamy hot sex. Both characters were introduced to us in the VIP trilogy and I was glad they got a book of their own. Both have been through hell growing up.

Devon...what can I say about him, he is hot, you cant help but fall in love with him, He grew up in HELL, because of his past, he is a protector or everyone.. his MOM and sisters...He wants to protect those that are lost because he is lost himself.

Brooke is a VIP. She loves her life as VIP and doesn't she that she is more than that.

They are brought together by YSA and have an instant connection, but is that connection strong enough for them to give in and be what the other one needs.

M. has thrown in some crazy twists that only make this story better. She has a way of pulling readers in and holding them hostage, by the end of her story you are like WTF just happened. She is truly talented at what she does. I look forward to many more books by her!

One click this book when it comes out on March 24th and grab her other books if you haven't already.. your missing out.

Book is recommended for 18 and older.

First time reading M. Robinson and I loved it! I love how it was duel POV and the book started out when they were young and worked up till they met. It was done right because you were never bored while reading she explained what happened and then jumped to the another point in their lives. Let me start with Devon this poor guy has had such a crappy home life and never used it as an excuse. He did everything he could to help his family. Now Brooke I get how what happened to her in her childhood was something that affected her but she took that incident and let it completely control her life and how she saw things. I loved how her dad said what goes in our marriage does not concern you only what kinda father I was to you. Which is 100% true. What they allow or do in their marriage is theirs and his only obligation is to be the best Father to his daughters. Now back to Devon and Brooke I loved them together. He was able to get under her skin and feel again and when the time came he completely put her in her place and I did not feel, bad for her at all. She deserved it! She was becoming the biggest hypocrite and someone needed to help her realize it. I don't wanna say to much more and give anything away. It's a great story that had me hooked. -Cassandra T.

Review by Natasha Gentile

This story is about Brooke and Devon. I feel in love with Brooke when she was in VIP and then MVP. Devon, well I had a hate relationship with him. I have to be honest I really wasn’t looking forward to his story; as I was more interested in Brooke. Well let me tell you I was so wrong! M. Robinson said that I would fall in love with him, and well she was right on. It was touch and go there, but in the end I fell in love with the damaged soul.

From the moment that Brooke showed up in VIP we were all wondering who this girl was. She had a mystery about her. You knew that her back story would be great, but what we got was so much better.

Brooke is 16 at the beginning of this story. For a girl, turning 16 is everything. It’s called Sweet Sixteen for a reason, for Brooke it was everything she expected it to be.

Bred from a privileged family, rich in many ways, money was never an issue. But like everyone knows nothing is ever quite what it seems. And this was no exception. Things are not always what they seem, and she learnt that the hard way. Secrets. They can harbor inside you and make your soul hollow.

You are the product of your environment, you reap what you sow, and then you beg for forgiveness. On your knees, with your hands clasped, praying to the Lord above to take away your sins.

At 16 when you are looking into the face of the secrets from those around you, you aren’t sure what the right and wrong thing is. You have this picture in your head of what life is, what you think trust should be, what love should be, but when it’s shattered all you know is that you will never ever give yourself to someone. You will never ever cave to someone, you will never ever whisper those three words that everyone loves to hear. I. Love. You.

She closes herself off to everyone that loves her, totally blocks out her heart, and becomes a VIP.

I was made for a life of pleasure.
I was made for sex
I was made to be a goddamn..
VIP

Becoming a VIP she turns to sex for feeling, it’s the only time that she feels reassurance. The only time she feels whole. Till….

Devon Devon Devon. When you first walked into VIP I really liked you, you were wise beyond your years and we just knew that your story would be quite fascinating. Well your story, it broke my heart.

We all have a past, present, and future.
However, there are things you will never be able to run away from. As much as you want to, as much as you try, it will always be there.
You can’t outrun it.
It will always find you. It will haunt your dreams-nigh or day, awake or asleep.
You can’t hind from your mind.
You can’t escape the memories.

This man has to have the biggest heart out there. For him it has always been family first. His mother, his sisters, they are what he lives and breaths for. When he became 16 his father’s death made him the man of the house. He took that role very seriously. He worked his butt off to make sure his mother and sisters never lacked for anything that they wanted. When he learnt that he inherited a successful bar in South Beach, he put his degree to good use and blew it up. He was the “it” guy. He had everything that he could every want, he had everything that he needed, except he couldn’t run from his past. He couldn’t run from the pain.

I went into the bathroom, shutting the door behind me and turning on the shower.
I looked in the mirror and the reflection was the same as it was when I was a child.
Broken.

These two beautiful broken souls. You just want to hug them and tell them that with everything that is broken, comes the beauty of putting it back together, making you perfect.

When these two finally crossed paths they were drawn to each other, both for different reasons. He wanted to save her, she wanted to have sex with him. He saw through her, he saw past her pain, he saw what she didn’t show anyone. Except if you get too close she shuts down.

It’s as if she could read my mind…And just like that her eyes glazed over and it was gone.
She wasn’t Bambi anymore.
She was VIP.

He knows what she does, she tells him what she does. She is proud of who she is and doesn’t hide it. What starts out as a lot of sexual tension, ends up with a beautiful friendship. Well for Brooke it’s a friendship for Devon, he’s hooked, she is it. He sees her, all of her and from that first moment he knows that she will be his. No matter what he needs to do to get her.

In that moment, I realized why she was a VIP. It’s because she didn’t have to hide anymore. She was free from the secrets that she held so deeply in her heart. And it only made me want to know her more.
I wanted all of her.

Brooke, she is one tough cookie, she isn’t just going to change because he said so. No way, she makes the rules of this game, she isn’t letting anyone in. She’s been there, she’s done that, she has her heart so guarded it’s like getting into Fort Knox. Imagine when the friendship she thinks she is handling perfectly, turns into more. Imagine the shock, imagine the horror.

I wanted to engrain it in my memory. To take a piece of him home with me. The way he affected my mind and my heart was petrifying, but it was so real.
The emotion…
I could touch it.
I could feel it.
I could taste it.

You want, you hope, you are praying that these two just trust in each other. You are gasping for air, while your heart palpitates waiting for the other shoe to drop. Hoping that they too, can see the happily ever after in each other. Both broken halves wanting to be together, just to be whole. It is easy to say, but harder to do. Can you just trust him not to hurt you, when all you have ever known was lies and broken promises? Can you trust her to make the bad memories go away and fill them with new memories, happiness, love and family? It is all so tempting, but it can’t always be bad, right?

We were two broken people that had found their way to on another.

I just don't know where to start! I am in a book hangover after this one. Bravo Ms. Robinson you have wacked this one out of the park.
We have had the pleasure of meeting Brooke and Devon in the previous books in the V.I.P series. Hold on kids their story is going to pull you in and rip you apart.
Brook is the quintessential V.I.P. She is smart, sexy, irresistible to men and women she is immune to love. She loves her job and hell it shows. Brooke was raised in the perfect family. She had loving parents, wonderful siblings and did not want for anything. That fairytale feel apart in one night. She realized that her world was a lie and it began to crumble around her. She has now become a product of her experience and environment. She is immune to love, happily ever after doesn't exsist and there is no such person as Prince Charming.
Devon , holy hotness we may have a fabulous new book boyfriend on our hands girls! This poor man has so many demons and secrets that I am surprised he is sane.
When these two broken souls collide it is euphoric. The attraction is immediate and electrifying. Brooke wants this man in her bed and what man could resist her. Devon cannot deny his need for this woman. He is enamored by her. He wants more than her body and will sit back and wait till her wears her down. He wants all of her. I hope that you gals have dry undies ...you will need them. Devon is sex on a stick and will have you swooning.
Brooke soon realizes that Devon may be more than a quick fix and it scares her to death. She can't seem to run fast enough to escape him.
These two broken souls may each have what the other needs to heal. Is Devon strong enough for the both of them and does he have the strength to save her. Is it possible for Brooke to love another when she doesn't even have love for herself.
Ms. Robinson pulls you into their struggle and you the reader are made to feel every emotion you can imagine. Warning you will fall hard for these characters and they will engulf you in their heat break! So get ready for the whirlwind....sit down, buckle up, and grab hold of this book it will be a wild ride!!!!!!
I am privileged to be one of M's beta readers and it has been an amazing journey.
I was gifted this book for an honest review!

**FULL REVIEW**

“It’s like the world stops spinning for just a few seconds and then night takes over. Once the sunrise appears, you have a whole new start to try again. A whole new day to make changes and decisions that could not only affect you, but everyone around you.”

I knew from the moment I started reading this book I would be hooked. I wasn’t wrong, I was clutched in the embraces of the pages and could not for the life of me break free. And I didn’t want to. Not even when it was over…

“For the first time in my life, I wanted to do something for me. I wanted this chance to be who I truly believed I was. I was made for a life of pleasure. I was made for sex. I was made to be a goddamn…VIP.”

Brooke, I think, was my favorite character in this series…and her story along with Devon’s is one I have wanted to devour since reading the VIP Series. M. Robinson did not disappoint in the least. Catching another perspective of what was happening in the story was fabulous and melded perfectly with what I’ve already read.

I loved the serendipitous moments, how the characters flowed, not just with each other but individually. They are complex and incredibly simple all at the same time. I couldn’t get enough!

“I was the girl your parents warned you about. The one they told you not to trust. The one to stay away from. The one that could break your heart, and go back for me. Just because I could.”

If you haven’t picked up the VIP Series by M. Robinson, I strongly suggest you do. There are twists and turns, hot and steamy scenes that make you want to grab your SO and try them yourself, and at the end you are left with exactly what you had hoped for. I loved every second of this book and the series as a whole, I look forward to more…maybe a little more on Madam, excuse me, Lilith. *smile*

So BAD.. This book is so Fucking BADass. Tempting Bad is a VIP Trilogy spin-off the story of Brooke and Devon. If you read the first book you'll know the rest of it though this can be read as a standalone. So this book... what more can I say? Im so fucking hooked with it like a moth to a flame. Hands down to M. Robinson for another amazing story. This book makes you feel every emotion, heartbreak, love and lust. Its amazing how the two different and yet broken people brought together from different world and dealing with their own demons. I cannot tell much more about the book without spilling the beans. Its just you need to read it to be able to experience the world of VIP and I make sure you'll never regret it.

This was my first trip into the deliciously sinful mind of M. Robinson and oh what a ride it was . It's a roller coaster of feelings , my heart speeding , my soul twisting . Devon and Brooke , what can I say , their paths collide and it's like explosion . They are mean to be , but can they make it work ? Do they want it to work ? Or are they too broken by the time they meet ? M.Robinson is an amazingly talented story teller and she can write sexy like no other . This book is a spin off of her VIP trilogy but can be read as a standalone . I can't wait it dig into her other books . Enjoy this ride by the wicked M.Robinson !!!!! 5 naughty stars

**KIM'S REVIEW**

NOTE: I know people are saying this can be read as a stand alone however I don’t recommend reading this unless you’ve read the VIP trilogy. If you haven’t stop reading now, as there may be a spoiler below…

"Everyone has a story to tell, and even though every story starts with "Once Upon A Time," it's the beginning, middle and ending that make every story different."

After reading VIP/MVP I was definitely curious to read what went down with Brooke and Devon and we finally find out.

"I was the girl your parents warned you about.
The one they told you not to trust.
The one to stay away from.
The one that could break your heart, and go back for more.
Just because I could."

Growing up Brooke had a wonder life. Her parents were happy in love and she had the wealth and popularity to back it up. However, one night completely ruins everything she thought she knew and life for her will never be the same. After that a new VIP is born…

"You're not your father...one day you will realize that."

Devon had a rough upbringing. His father was the “golden” cop. Every one wanted to be him, date him or more. However, no one saw what went on behind closed doors. Many years later Devon still can’t get over what his father put him and his mother through and then he meets Brooke…

"I was the illusion.
I was the dream.
It was a game.
A game I wanted to play...
With Devon."

Through Ysa, Devon knows all about the VIP lifestyle but thinks if he gets through to Brooke he can save her. Forgetting that when VIP is in the way sometimes there is no saving...

"Be careful, child, don't play with fire unless you intend to get burned; that girl is nothing but flames."

Can two damaged souls fix each other? Or are some things irreparable?

"Hate.
Was my meaning of the word love."

I did enjoy being able to see what happened to Devon and Brooke to turn them into the people they are today. Brooke was so broken inside and it just escalated until she only knew how to live and breathe VIP. I definitely liked Devon more in this book especially after the way MVP ended. He had many demons due to his father that he struggled with inside. However, I still can’t get over the whole Devon/Ysa thing. Yes it seemed like they used each other but still…ugh. I liked their storyline but I still felt like I needed more by the end. I wanted to see more of what the future held. Is there another book in store? Only M. Robinson knows.

"I wouldn't come to understand until several years later...VIP. It wouldn't just change her life. It would change mine as well."

4.75 stars! I don't want to move on from this series!

 photo 1485949612481_zpsutggemvi.jpeg

I am running on less than 3 hours of sleep and I have no regrets WHATSOEVER! Why?! Because Tempting Bad was addicting! Non-stop page turner that had me sucked in! I absolutely FLOVED it!

"We were two broken people that had found their way to one another."

I knew that Devon would be one of my favorite alphas ever! He was a caring soul with a bad childhood, but that didn't make him turn into a bad person. On the contrary, he was a good man who had his own demons but tried to do good to the ones he loved.

"The girl was going to be the death of me. And I didn't fucking care... One bit."

Brooke's childhood was perfect... or so she thought. Devastated and broken by a false illusion, she closes off and pretends to be okay. She lives a facade and won't let anyone in, that is until she meets Devon...

 photo 1485930532072_zpsmprfx8ca.jpeg

I absolutely loved these two together. The sexual tension was off the charts and the sex was even better! I cried, laughed, swooned over Devon<3 It was a perfect way to end this series and I can't wait to re-read it again in the future!

I still don't feel that Devon is really in love with Brooke. They're both broken people and I think each other deserve a better person than each other. I think it was Brooke who is so into Devon, not the other way around. I felt her inner tormoil. It was just too much. I'm really rooting for Brooke, this girl is so much more that what she thinks she is. She made so many mistakes and paid for it. It was just so heartbreaking. On the other hand, Devon, I don't like him! I hate him since MVP and that will never ever change. I think Brooke deserved someone that will love her so much and completely and I think that's not Devon... He never showed that he love her but instead hurt her. He never even fight for her but instead guilted her and And the ending is not really an HEA for me... I think sometime in the future, Devon will hurt her physically and emotionally. Just saying.

No i się spotkali.

Konstrukcja bohaterów moim zdaniem pozostawia wiele do życzenia.

Strasznie denerwowały mnie "dopasowane do koszuli nocnej majteczki".

Well, this was a hum dinger. One thing that M is good at, is giving us some strong bad ass bitches that don't apologize for shit. Her female characters will bring most men to their knees with as little as a teasing smirk or the flip of the hair. I was so happy to hear that there would be a book about Brooke and Devon. These two characters definitely left quite an impression from the VIP Trilogy books. I admit to asking myself a few times, "Hmmm...I wonder what happened to Devon?", and "Damn, Brooke's secrets seem to be locked up tighter than Ft. Knox." Well I got my answers and so much more. This story doesn't start with "Once upon a time..." and that "They lived happily ever after" ending seems too unimaginable to even hope for.

"Bad things happened to good people every day.
Every fucking day.
You choose.
You always have a choice, but it's much easier to blame someone else.
It's human." -Brooke
This book had so much emotional turmoil and heartbreak, that I thought I would start off on a light note. So what did I love about this book you ask? Well, even though Christine was a bit of a beezy with a love for the dramatics, I couldn't help but love the banter between her and Brooke at the beginning. I was literally laughing like a complete loon with some of the crazy stuff that flew out of her unfiltered mouth. I don't know where M comes up with some of this stuff, but it's pure gold for me. The way to my book junkie heart is some hilarious, off the wall, witty dialogue. I eat that shit up (naammm...naammm), and it sticks with me way after I'm done reading.

"Yeah...we made up. Peace in the Middle East, sista and go sit in a warm bath so that your vagina doesn't feel like it took a pounding from King Kong, talk later." -Christine

We unfortunately go on to grow a distaste for the spitfire that is Christine. That is just a small blimp of betrayal, compared to the overwhelming pain that both Devon and Brooke both went through. Devon's story had my stomach violently twisting and my heart aching. I just wanted to jump in the book to hold and protect him. M never holds back when it comes to the dark gritty details, and she proves it once again with this one. Despite Devon's pain and deep seeded monsters he has to deal with on a daily basis, he has such a kind and loving soul. He was hell bent on not letting those dark monsters out of their cage and let history repeat itself.

"But it wasn't just a nightmare...
It was a memory.
I couldn't keep running away from them.
Because they always found me." -Devon

Brooke's story was completely different from Devon's, but she was also hit with a loud smack of betrayal, which led her to VIP's doorstep. Brooke's talent was to hide. She became so good at it, that she didn't even know who was the real Brooke was anymore. She became her own catalyst, lacking all hope for a happy future...her own trojan horse set up to instantly destroy and take down any kind of emotions that even remotely resembled the word she hated most..."love." How long could Devon go on seeking before he realized she might be too lost to ever be found?

"I don't think twice about leaving them naked, with their emotions pouring all over the silk sheets. Love and I were not friends...we weren't even on the same page. I treated the four-letter word like my favorite four-letter word.
F-U-C-K." -Brooke

So now is the moment where fate steps in and throws these two broken souls together, and we as the readers hope for a safe landing, but in reality we know deep down the fall is going to be a painful one. The old adage always questions whether two broken souls can heal each other, but with Brooke and Devon's story the question marks are never ending. They see behind the facade and looming shadows, but it ends up supplying them with the key ammunition to truly hurt one another. In the end the pieces may be broken beyond repair. Buckle up for one wild, emotion packed tale filled with betrayal, unquestionable lust, and painfully raw vulnerability. The ups and downs will both thrill and frustrate you like no other. Can Brooke and Devon make it through the pain-filled fog to get to their bright happily ever after, that neither one of them would have thought was possible?

"Bambi, with you I never have to pretend...you don't know how free you make me feel. You can't hide from me...you can't run from me...because I will always find you." -Devon

Phew...enough of the heavy. If you haven't read the VIP Trilogy I would recommend reading those first. Even though, this is a spin off and could be read as a stand alone, there is a lot of details and characters that might leave you scratching your head a little, if you haven't read the VIP books first. I guess that would be my main tiff with this one. I was left wanting more from certain parts of the book, which I guess "wanting more" isn't such a bad thing when you think of the big picture. Nonetheless, I really did crave for more details from certain scenes, especially some that we experienced in the VIP books. (I know...I'm one needy biddie.) That being said, I really enjoyed Brooke and Devon's story. Even though, I have read all of her books, M still finds a way to keep me guessing while pushing my boundaries at the same time. I was clenching my heart and WTFing all over the place with this one. Oh, and lets not forget this dirty bird knows how to lay out some hot as hell sex scenes...keep doing your "homework" M, we all greatly appreciate it (wink...wink). I can't wait to see what comes next from the lovely M. Robinson. Stay tuned my naughty book junkies...and as always..."Feed the Need!"

Very steamy

This was a good story to read after VIP (Sebastian and Isabelle). We got to know Brooke and Devon and what a journey this was. I loved these two together, but it was a hard road for them. Very erotic at time... like, many times! Love this author, she is not shy when it comes to descriptions.

Having read the VIP series and loving it so very much. I found myself wanting to review Tempting Bad on it's own merits. I wanted to act like I didn't know any of the characters. I am so excited to tell you all that I loved this book so much!
There are so many books that keep the lead characters deep secrets until, we are 25 chapters in. Leaving us with a fantastic book in the beginning and a rushed ending... I find that annoying. Tempting Bad is NOT that book!

You are "in" on the secrets very early on.
The honesty between Brooke and Devon was so refreshing. Being in the loop so early, I feel made this book something so different and I could not get enough.
M . Robinson, does not write a sweet, hearts and flowers book. This is filled with angst and times when you want to send her a message, asking her "why are you doing this to these people? What did they ever do to deserve this? Have they not suffered enough?" I am guilty of doing this. I was 92% in and expecting it to be wrapped up with , what I thought would work as an ending. Then I found myself literally saying " she did NOT just write that!" M, takes you on a hundred mile journey one way and then BOOM, veers to the left, changing lanes into on coming traffic!!!! Always the unexpected, and I ate it up.

Brooke and Devon have some of the best chemistry I have ever read.
You could feel it.
You believed it.
The way Devon would see the changes in Brooke and how he would treat her, was so smart. Brooke is such a multifaceted character. She plays the part perfectly. She knows when to turn it on and when she is beat at her own game. Which Devon does every chance he gets. He knows she is hiding , he knows she is pretending, after all, he is doing the same thing.

Devon, is OMG, he is just everything... I mean really, that is how I feel about him. He is suffering, he is strong, he loves his family and he would do anything to protect those he cares about. I loved that about him. He is taken by Brooke the second he meets her. He can not walk away, he can't just be friends, the pull is to great and they both give in.
No rules
No expectations
No labels
But the past, she has a way of coming back to bite you in the ass. You never know when it is going to happen and who may or may not have engineered it.
When faced with their ghosts Brooke and Devon have to decide to face them or to let it destroy them.

The one sure thing they had in common was how much they wanted each other. And HOLY. MY. GOD, it was HOT! This is a seriously sexual book. I mean that in the best possible way. It is blush inducing, panty changing, fanning yourself HOT! But not so much that it takes over the book. It is the perfect balance. It seriously is one of the sexiest books I have read in a very long time.

If you have no idea of the history of these characters, you need to go NOW and read the VIP series. Yaz , Sebastian and of course Madame are key in this story. Along with past relationships ,being interwoven into this complex story.
I would love to tell you everything I possibly could about this story, but you would be missing out on such a fantastic read.
