I really enjoyed this read, the world building was really cool and the combined elements made it a more unique read. The characters were well written, there were twists I didn't see coming, and it was just a fun read.

I felt maybe the ending needed a little bit more drama, just because the story built up to the big grand finale and then it kind of rushed right through it. The ending just felt a little deflated for me, anticlimactic if you will. Regardless, I still really enjoyed it.

Note: there are 2 versions for readers, you can have either a fade-to-black or a spicy version.

This is great for anyone who enjoys:
*villian gets the girl
*enemies to lovers
*things aren't what they seem
*secret societies
*forbidden love
*morally grey characters

There are assassins, gods/demi-gods, vampires, royalty, gargoyle like characters, peasants, and incredible animals companions.

I always enjoy stories about assassins, and this had a moody stabby FMC on a mission to kill the prince and claim his soul for divine purposes.
I liked seeing her determination, conflict, doubts, and the enemy to lover attraction building.
Damon is a misunderstood royal, with those seeking to exploit his weaknesses, but he has his own secrets including his hidden identity, his curse, and the burdens he carries.
The worldbuilding is an intriguing mix of God's, vampires, shadowy gargoyles, assassin guilds, and fun animal companions.
There are a lot of layers to this story, which scheming gods, curses, divine missions, cults and more. I enjoyed Keira and Damon's chemistry, and how they help each other find the truth.

I received the ARC, in exchange for an honest review. I don’t read much stories with vampires and cults but this was one I found myself being pulled into! The MMC was absolutely wicked and in the most delightful way! The MFC was amazing- smart, witty at times, badass and more! The spice, while theirs not too much, seemed like the perfect amount. The story held steady pace without feeling rushed in places.

Loved this story. Keira is a strong FMC, and Damon is unapologetic in the way he protects his parents and kingdom. I especially loved how vulnerable he was when it came to his parents. I definitely shed a few tears. Add in all the different characters that support either the FMC or MMC, and it’s quite the found family. The plot was dynamic and moved along at a good pace. There was definitely action from beginning to end.

To be honest, I didn't know what to expect but I enjoy all of Jamie's books, so I was intrigued to this cowrite with Adalynd Grayves. And you know what? This book exceeded every expectation I could possibly have had! This is a standalone book in a series by different authors. Although I haven't read any of the previous ones, it honestly wasn't necessarily. Just from the introduction pages, I immediately knew what is what. And that "what" is that balance needs to be restored by way of 5 tasks. Difficult tasks. Deadly tasks. The harvesting of a particular soul. When all 5 are done and collected, there's one more needed to complete the And Keira is up to the task. Any of them, all of them. She is an assassin, trained to serve her gods, to do as they will. Her ambition is something she wears like her underwear, snug and close to her. She has purpose, she has drive. She's ruthless in her desire to be the best, ready to do anything necessary to be the last one standing in a series of bloody trials. As a member of the Crimson Crows, she has trained, most of her life, for this very purpose, dedicated in her absolute service. But, she too is caring, considerate, protective over a little group of riffraff street kids, aiding them whenever she can. Her next task? Prince Damon....Easy peasy for Keira, she becomes an integral part of his guard, which didn't quite go as she anticipated it would. See, even though she IS an assassin, even though she DOES take her sworn duty seriously, she starts to question, everything. Damon's description of her is spot on! "She's determined. Skilled with blades and shadows. But there's a kindness in her that she tries to hide, a softness she protects because the world has taught her gentleness is weakness."

Prince Damon, the demon Prince, is not who he appears to the masses. A brief encounter with a deadly deity transformed him into something else, someone else. He, as much as Keira, is ruthless. Nox, a shadow lion, the last of his kind, is Damon's constant companion. Many, thinking he is weak, seek his end and attempt after attempt is made on his life, although, none know he's "other", no longer a mere mortal. He protects himself from assassination very aptly, he protects his kingdom at all costs, by any means. And twarts assassin after assassin. On one such... excursion...he and Keira collide on a...job, without knowing who the other is, with just survival skills at the ready, they dance around their mutual enemy in sync, beautifully. Damon is a gorgeous complex character, his outward appearance of disdain covers his internal struggles to keep his parents alive, to keep his kingdom prosperous. I absolutely adored this man! So much pressure on his shoulders, so much to deal with and he "deals" with everything sent his way. Even Keira. Which was beautifully written. Which showed his true colours and the emotions writhing within. Gads did I love what Keira and Damon went through! "She's determined. Skilled with blades and shadows. But there's a kindness in her that she tries to hide, a softness she protects because the world has taught her gentleness is weakness."

Oh gosh, there is tonnes I'd like to say about this book, I'm so bouncy from the HEA I feel like a kid on a sugar high! I really enjoy a morally grey character and here I get two! And I got three awesome orphans who Keira protected, Belle, Tawny and Zaheed, who surprised the heck out of me! As did the characters. The authors expertly kept them always one step ahead of me, I had no idea who was going to do what! And each time "something" happened, here was I going "oh.... didn't see that one!" Everything was unexpected in this book, nevermind the brilliantly convoluted characters, Nox, Zephyr and Nocturna turned my heart soppy. Can you feel me bouncing up and down? This plot, oh heavens, superb! Deities, false gods, cursed, vengeance, all imploded on me. The magnetism between Keira and Damon nearly melted me and the loyalty, love and respect of Damon's inner circle, crafted to perfection. Bouncy bouncy me is going to leave it here with a resounding I FREAKING LOVED IT!

Wicked Prince of Blood is book 4 in the Wicked Princes series and is a standalone that can be read on its own.

Death is her duty; desire is her downfall.

The blurb of this novel is captivating... The first line is BEYOND captivating...It whispers promise and intrigue...it promises something along the lines of Assassin's Creed or something along the lines of the darker parts of Skyrim...and that's about the nicest thing that I can probably think of for this book.

We won't even start with the fact that about almost 30 pages of this is a random jumble of "lore" in the beginning... lore that seems more like hastily scribbled plot points or half-thought-out bits of information.... I understand this is mostly original lore, but also, as a mythology nerd myself and someone who's extensively studied things... I had to go back multiple times to just recheck things and try to make sense of what just happened....

Then again, that would not be something of a valid enough reason to argue, so I shall detest on that part... for now.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE lore, but sometimes it does not need a whole 30 pages of it to explain what exactly is going on in the book... or to capture a picture of the world that we are about to explore... worldbuilding is FANTASTIC, but there is such a thing as TOO MUCH... and this is definitely so much that it overwhelms absolutely everything.

This reads somewhat like a messy re-cap of a late-night Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) or similar sort of tabletop game.... hastily written down notes for the next session...an incomplete tale to be continued. There are several instances where the lore in front is contradicted... and there is a WEIRD use of "-" when words cut off and flow to the next line on many of the pages... the romance is uh.... something to say the least...it could at the very least use another glance through for editing or perhaps trying to smooth things over, because there are also phrases where I had to stop and go " what?" with how things are worded.

To be honest, I got bored very quickly after the first 30 or so pages (especially at the very random jumble that claims to be "lore"), and that boredom only worsened as I got past 200 pages...

Eventually I found myself staring off at the ceiling or the wall for long periods of time, and I had to give myself at least an hour break to be able to push through.

I rarely DNF, and this was seriously tempting me to on the DNF... I just could not wrap my mind around it to where I could bump the rating any higher.

If this didn't read off as a clumsy set of notes for D&D... and the plot actually somewhat made some sense.... This would be rated higher.
I am not one to give a book a low rating but... Unfortunately, as it stands right now... 2 stars is already way too nice in my eyes.

Edit: Since my review, the novelette of lore has moved from the beginning to the end, unfortunately, this still dosen't help with the flow of things. Also-in general, after an attempted reread.... there is just so much excessive irrelevance that is still present and just detracts entirely from the flow of the story still.

Thank you to Adalynd Graves and Jamie Dalton for this copy in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own and the rest of my reviews can be found at: https://littlereapling.wixsite.com/fa....

⭐️⭐️⭐️️⭐️/ ️🌶️🌶️

I have read individual books by both Adalyn Grayves and Jamie Dalton, loving both authors' writing talents and storytelling abilities. However, these two together?! Wow, wow, wow! I was immediately captivated by their collaborative partnership and elevated story development. Book 4 in the Wicked Princes series, Wicked Prince of Blood, is filled with wonderful characters, amazing world building, and a plot that kept me captivated and unable to put this story down. Our MCs are both morally gray, which creates a very interesting dynamic between the two and while their romance burns slowly, it was wonderfully written and smoldered throughout the whole book.

Keira is a trained assassin and loyal to her gods. She lives to serve them and complete the tasks they give to her. She is driven, ambitious, and cunning, doing whatever it takes to complete the job she is assigned. But don’t let her hard exterior fool you. Although she is a member of the Crimson Crows, she still has compassion and warmth towards those in need. When she is assigned a target of royal blood, she doesn’t even blink and believes this task will be easy to accomplish. But this assignment ends up being different than any others. She begins to question things she has been taught, learns not everything is as it seems, and realizes she may have been lied to.

Prince Damon is as cold hearted as Kiera, but cares for his kingdom no matter what. When he and Kiera meet, neither of them knowing who the other is, they are intrigued by each other's skills and ability to execute. Damon has a lot going on under the surface. He is desperate to keep his kingdom safe, his parents alive, and holds the weight of his whole world on his shoulders. As these two shed layers back to reveal their true selves to each other, I couldn’t get enough.

Jamie and Adalyn are absolute fire together. Their writing styles blend seamlessly together, making their worlds flow easily. The imagery throughout the book is vivid and descriptive. I hope these two collaborate again in the future. This book was an absolute joy to read and I cannot say enough good things about it. The journey keeps you on the edge of your seat, never making it easy to see what is going to happen next. I want more of this world, more of our MCs, and more both authors!

As always, review any author notes before reading.

Keira is the best of the Crimson Crow assassins. A true devotee to the Void Mother, she knows she will win the Corvus Games, a deadly goal of sacrificing specific people to bring the full amount of power to the gods. But her last sacrifice will be the most dangerous of all: Prince Damon, a powerful half demon, half vampire. As Keira hunts the prince, it becomes clear that he is even more dangerous than she expected, and he is in fact hunting her. Can Keira succeed, or will Damon?

I really enjoyed the world building in this book. There’s a complicated religion with vampirism, and it seems like everyone is part of some secret society or another. It’s like a fun mix of traditional fantasy setting with a bit of Arkham Horror flare. I also enjoyed the first third of the book where Keira and Damon are playing cat vs mouse, but both of them are the mouse.

However, as the story continued and Keira started to feel conflicted about her objective, I found the interactions between Keira and Damon to get a bit repetitive. She knows she needs to investigate the Crimson Crows, but she basically doesn’t, instead waiting for information to be spoon-fed to her. This lack of follow through and just general indecisiveness undermines the strength of her character and dilutes the connection between her and Damon. When the final big confrontation happens at the end of the book, I ended up feeling much less invested as I had somewhat lost interest due to Keira’s lack of conviction.

Another thing that also bothered me throughout the book was that the timeline seems rather muddled. Keira has a bad habit of knowing other characters' names before they’re introduced. The plot seems to move backward and forward sometimes days a time between chapters. It made the story a bit more confusing, which further undermined its impact.

Overall, I loved the world and the overarching plot ideas. I just needed a little more to make the story really shine.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

"You cant let anyone else kill me because I am your prize, aren't I?" His eyes search mine, looking for confirmation. "But there's something stopping you from taking it"

Blurb:

A well trained assassin for the crimson crows, Keira is assigned a mission by Madam Montagne to collect the sixth soul for the gods. Keira being the great assassin that she is sees this mission as simple she quickly joins the royal guard in disguise to get closer to her target, Prince Damon. Little does Keira know that the prince has secrets of his own. One being that he himself has a secret life as the wraith and the second being he knows she is attempting to kill him. Prince Damon toys with Keira until he is able to let her in all secrets Madam Montagne has been keeping from her. Keira armed with her daggers and companion crow named Zephyr starts to look into confirming all Damon has let her in to know. Keira must decide if she is to believe Damon who she is also starting to have feelings for or to all Madam Montagne has told her as she is who trained her and took her in after a life of living on the streets. Who should Keira believe the half demon half vampire prince who has somehow found a place in her heart, or her leader who taught her all she knows?

Review:

I really enjoyed this book. Who doesnt love a good assassination attempt (or two) only to turn into lovers. It was a fun slow burn with a mix of fighting for truth. The world building was great I liked that it wasnt a majority of the book and just written through out in different points of the book to explain the scenarios. Also who doesnt love a couple of familiars? If you want a dark fantasy with a mix of romance, some spice and a plot twist this book is for you! Towards the back of the book there is an index explaining the gods and different assassin groups and how they became what they are which was so helpful after getting through the book. Also there is a cookie recipe for a cookie mentioned in the story!

I have never read a book by either of these two authors, but boy was I blown away by this dark powerful fantasy novel. This is a book about an assassin called Keira, she had been an orphan and a street rat who became part of the crimson crows led by Madam Montagne, till she became her best assassin. The crimson crows were sent out to collect souls supposedly to feed the gods they all believed in, and Keira was sent on a quest to retrieve the soul of the Prince of the blood throne, prince Damon, the vampire/demon prince. He had been turned into a vampire by Valdris the vampire god who had transformed him after cursing his parents the king and queen. Damon had kept his parents in stasis for decades ruling in their stead. He was also the prince of shadows where he led the group of assassins known as the shadowhands, and his alter ego was known as the wraight. Both Keira and Damon had familiars who were magical, Zephyr, a crow and Nox a shadow lion who protected them from danger. Keira set out with full intent to kill Damon, however once she met him things changed, including her outlook regarding the crimson crows and madam Montagne. She was a betrayer of the void mother and the father gods they worshipped, so Keira did not feel obliged to obey her orders. Montagne had been supplying souls to Noctis the usurper god. Together Damon and Keira set out to bring down the crows and bring peace and harmony to their city of Netherhaven. This book is dark, full of action, with lots of heat when enemies turn to lovers, courage, love and kindness. The Gods as usual play their games and humans, vampires and demons are their pawns. I loved this very powerful book which kept me enthralled till it's very beautiful ending.

Wicked Prince of Blood is the fourth book in Adalynd Grayves’ Wicked Princes series — a collection of standalone fantasy romances where the villain gets the girl.

I really enjoyed this book! From the very first chapter, the action and secrets pulled me in and kept me on edge until the end. The world-building is rich and atmospheric — blending demons, vampires, assassins, and humans into a setting that feels both dark and alive. And the animal companions? Absolutely adored them, they added extra depth and warmth to the story — a lovely touch amidst all the chaos and bloodshed.

I loved watching Keira and Damon’s story unfold. Their chemistry was off the charts — intense, emotional, and perfectly balanced between danger and desire. Their banter was fun, and watching them unravel each other’s truths while confronting their own loyalties made their journey feel both epic and intimate.

If you love morally gray lovers, slow-burn tension, and fantasy worlds dripping in danger and desire, Wicked Prince of Blood is an absolute must-read for fans of morally gray fantasy romance.

Thank you to Adalynd Grayves and Jamie Dalton for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

⚠️ Content Warning: This story contains mature and potentially triggering themes, including violence, grief, knife play, references to past abuse, and morally gray choices. Please read with care.

✨Arc Review✨
Thank you to the author Adalynd Grayves for sending me this digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.

-All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Wicked Prince of Blood is a darkly enchanting fantasy that blends danger, desire, and betrayal into a story that keeps you turning the pages long after midnight. Grayves and Dalton craft a world steeped in gothic beauty — where power and passion intertwine, and every secret drips with consequence.

The characters are what truly bring this story to life. The “wicked prince” himself is both infuriating and magnetic, his every decision a delicate balance between cruelty and vulnerability. The protagonist’s struggle to resist (or surrender to) his allure adds a delicious tension that makes the book hard to put down. The authors’ dual writing style complements the tone perfectly — sharp, lyrical, and immersive.

That said, there are moments when the pacing falters slightly, particularly in the middle chapters, where the political intrigue overshadows the emotional arc. A few side characters could have used more depth to match the vividness of the leads.

Still, these are small flaws in an otherwise captivating tale. Wicked Prince of Blood is a lush, addictive fantasy romance with beautifully dark edges — perfect for readers who enjoy morally gray heroes, dangerous liaisons, and stories that leave you just a little breathless.

Wicked Prince of Blood by Adalynd Grayves and Jamie Dalton delivers exactly what dark romantasy fans crave: a deadly heroine, an irresistible immortal prince, and a mission destined to crumble under the weight of forbidden desire. With its blend of assassination, prophecy, court intrigue, and magnetic tension, this book carves out a place alongside the genre’s most addictive reads.

At the center of it all is Keira, a Crimson Crow assassin shaped by brutality and devotion to the gods who forged her into a weapon. She’s fierce, disciplined, and emotionally guarded—the perfect blade in the dark. Her latest mission, however, forces her deep into enemy territory… and into the path of the man she’s been trained her whole life to kill.

The Wicked Prince is everything she doesn’t expect: immortal, enigmatic, strategic, and far more human than the monster she’s been taught to fear. Their encounters crackle with tension—equal parts threat and temptation—and the story shines brightest when these two collide. The slow, dangerous unraveling of their loyalties is crafted with care, giving every shared moment weight and consequence.

Grayves and Dalton build a rich world of shadowed temples, divine contracts, political deceit, and ancient prophecies, layering in just enough mythology to keep readers hungry for more. The pacing is brisk, the atmosphere immersive, and the court dynamics deliciously treacherous.

"You feel that? That rush in your veins? That's me. That's what it feels like to be mine."

✨ Book Review — Wicked Prince of Blood ✨

⭐ Rating: ★★★

📖 Spoiler-Free Summary:

Keira, a deadly assassin devoted to the gods, is sent to the heart of enemy territory to kill a half-demon, half-vampire prince. But when she meets Damon - ruthless, immortal, and far from the monster she expected - her mission becomes tangled with dangerous secrets, forbidden desire, and a prophecy that could destroy them both. Death might be her duty… but desire is quickly becoming her downfall. 🩸

💭 My Thoughts:

I really enjoyed the premise of this story and loved the dynamic between Keira and Damon - the tension, betrayal, and chemistry were all chef’s kiss. The worldbuilding was fascinating, filled with dark magic, creatures and a truly intriguing world.

However, I found the pacing a little confusing at times. Some parts felt like they jumped ahead suddenly, and the final battle - which had so much buildup - felt a bit rushed. I just wanted more from this amazing world and its characters.

Still, this was a fun, dark, and spicy read with a creative setting and great potential. If you love assassin-meets-immortal prince vibes with enemies-to-lovers tension, this one’s worth checking out!

Thank you BookSirens for this ARC. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Like the authors, I am a fan of Dragon Age, and I picked this up because it reminded me of the world and its setting. At the end I found out they are too. However, despite sharing a loved fandom, I was let down.

It begins interestingly, but the middle is weak, and the ending is rushed and overwhelming. For me the interesting sub-plot with the gods begins at about 75% and that is also where I stopped understanding what's happening. Too much all at once!

Keira was intriguing at first, but I feel like she fits in just fine with other FMCs.

I don't know why this is marketed as 'villain gets the girl' when Damon was never a villain. His people don't hate him, and he is morally good. He is at most just EDGY.

The romance was rushed. They had good banter, though. The smut was... not great. The happy ending is what, after a month spent together? It was too much for me.

I also noticed punctuation errors such as missed spaces and others. I dunno if there were editors involved. The premise had so much potential that to me was poorly executed.

PS. I hate when side-characters give us nudges like "you've changed so much" toward the end. Yeah, we get it! I was here reading the book! And here it happened more than twice...

Notes, not full review yet
* The concept of harvesting souls creeps me the fuck out. Like a soul being added to a god to give them power. But in practice in this book, it seems to be more of giving someone energy.
* Also it’s not quite clear what makes the demon royalty demons, at least to me. They are not witches but do have some supernatural going on, but the prince also is a vampire, so I’m not sure the exact differences. I find it confusing. But keep in mind that I have poor short-term memory stemming from an autoimmune disease. I tried highlighting bits, but somehow my brain can’t make sense of it.
* There is a good bit of infodumping through dialogue. I would have liked it to flow more organically with bits at a time, but the book’s mythology and magic system is really intriguing, so I can forgive that.
* Lots of action sequences, some written well, some not; the final action sequence is way too fast, too easily overcome
* The enemies to lovers was okay, but how quickly it went from hookup to destiny was too fast
* BTS section about writing: fae characters being changed to demons (that makes so much sense, they are treated more like high fae), vampires being people who eventually get divinity and become gods (though they do still feast on blood).

I really enjoyed this book. It is so good. I loved the banter and tension between Keira and Damon so much. There are some explosive scenes between them where you can't stop reading. I would highly recommend this book if you enjoy stories with twist and secrets, enemies to lovers, and vampires.
Keira is part of the Crimson Crows, a gild of assassins, and she has been chosen to make the final mark, the prince. As Keira works her way into the Royal Guard, she begins to sense that things may not be as she has been told. After her first failed attempt to kill the prince, she begins to unravel the mysteries surrounding the Crimson Crows.
Damon is impressed when his new Royal Guard tries to kill him but she hesitates. Now Damon has moved her to his personal guard so he can try to trap her and hopefully get a better understanding of the inner workings of the Crimson Crows. As he works closer with Keira, he begins to feel a pull toward her.
Will Keira be able to take her final mark or will she discover the truth?

An advanced reader copy was provided in exchange for an honest review.

I really wanted to like this book more than I did. I will say I did not read the first 3 books, so I don't have context on the authors (each book is written by a different author) and the overall story, if there is one.

I think the story was interesting, and the world-building was unique. But the execution was lacking and this book felt like I was reading an unfinished draft. Some chapters felt out of order, had sentences that stopped mid-sentence, and had places where "NAME" appeared instead of character names. The romance felt forced and young - like teenage attraction versus something that is supposed to be love. And the overall sense of time is confusing.

This book had a lot of interesting magical concepts, and I really liked the Harbingers. I would love to see this story fleshed out more. And there are times where the authors are very descriptive, using beastly language to describe things, while overusing 'obsidian' to describe different parts of the castle.

This is book #4 in the Wicked Princes Series. Since this is the first book I have read by Adalynd I would say that you can read each book individually. I will definitely be going back to read the first three.

Keira is our fmc. She is a Crimson Crow Assassin who needs to collect 6 souls the last being the most important by the blood moon. Now she has joined the royal guard to try and get closer to the prince to carry out the final assassination.

Damon is our mmc. He is the prince and is trying to lead the kingdom in his parents place because they are sick (reasons will be explained in the book). He leads a double life though during the day he is the prince and at night the wraith (everyone thinks its a ghost).

I loved the world building and the relationship that forms between Damon and Keira. They helped each other see things differently. Now that they are trying to work together can they protect those they care about or will it be to late?

I would definitely recommend this book if you like an action packed fantasy romance.

"So stabby in the streets....so needy in my sheets." Need I say more?? As I read through this series, I am pleasantly surprised each time. Every book can be read as a stand-alone. Each offering its own unique adventure and unrelenting love story. Assassins are near and dear to my heart. As are sharp, shiny, stabby objects. What captivated me the most about this work of art is the blend of demon, vampire, assassin, and human traits. The animal companions were a great touch too. I was moved by the plot and the drive of the FMC. The MMC was moody and misunderstood, even by me! As the story progressed, I learned about his history and fell in love with him. Damon and Keira are the perfect couple. For those looking for a book you can't put down, tension that builds from the moment the characters lay eyes on each other, action that makes your heart race... This is the one for you. I LOVE the Wicked Princes series.

These book was a fun read. I really liked Keira and Damon and their wild story.

She was sent to kill him. Will she succeed or will she discover something that changes her view on everything she knows?

I loved seeing Keira and Damon develop into the people they were always meant to be. They were both just missing one piece to become the best versions of themselves.

The secrets and hidden identities we discover had me on the edge of my seat. The one person we learn the truth about was a shock because I wasn’t expecting it. Let’s just say their hatred runs deep and is personal.

I also really liked the side characters. The children and animals added to this story in a really good way. I loved seeing the MCs caring about someone besides each other.

Overall I really liked this book. I did kinda feel like the ending was a little rushed with the final battle but I still liked what we got. I read this book as an arc.

I received an ARC of this book and this review represents my own opinions.

I really enjoyed the storyline for this book. The plot line was intriguing and kept me invested. Our MCs were well-written and definitely loveable. Keira, the FMC, is stabby and bad ass and I 100% want to be friends with her. Damon, the MMC, is a tender hearted shadow daddy with a bite. Together they are great. The build up for them is well-written and watching them develop an alliance and eventually a HEA was very satisfying.

The plot line itself would have been enough for this book, so the romance was an added bonus. I loved what the gods were in this story and how they interacted with their world. The ending was satisfying.

The only negatives in my opinion was that sometime the timelines did not line up and would cause some confusion. There were also several instances of grammar/spelling/punctuation errors, so just something to be aware of if that bothers you.

This may be a first for me with both of these authors and they did not disappoint! I love a strong FMC and that's exactly what we get with this savagely stabby assassin with a heart buried in her dark competitive persona. Her mission and the world this story is placed in is intriguing and held my interest throughout as Keira realized that not everything is as it seems. Her target, and the dark sexy Prince Damon turns her world upside down but she returns the favor in kind and I could not get enough of it! Damon's loyalty and affection for his parents is endearing and I loved all the side characters as well such as Nox and the children that Kiera has taken under her wing. What do you do when everything you have been raised to believe is not what you think and you are falling in love with your target?! Well done, loved it!

A morally gray villain. A badass heroine assassin. One complicated love affair in the making.

This story spoke of one quite exceptional world, with mortals turned vampires turned gods, and assassins being used to collect souls that feed the gods and give them power. The uniqueness of their world and how its members live within it will keep you hooked to the story all throughout. And that dance the villain and their heroine have - one where she is torn between killing him or protecting him - is engrossing to witness until that moment comes where she finally seems to come to a decision about how to move forward with him.

The story is filled with exciting action scenes, suspenseful plotting, and riveting romance. It's definitely one exciting thrill ride of a book.

Wicked Prince of Blood is a dark, entertaining mix of romance, assassins, and villains that unfolds within a world of intriguing fantasy.

MFC Keira is a Crimson Crow assassin whose next mission will bring her into a court of vipers and a confrontation with a ruthless immortal Prince MMC Damon who she was sent to kill, and it’s all part of the game and the one she plans on winning.

Magic, Gods, danger, intrigue, enemies-to-lovers, secrets, action, adventure, suspense, and personal vulnerabilities swirl within a wonderfully written narrative emboldened by a richly crafted cast of characters who bring every elaborate detail of their journey to effervescent life in what is assuredly a read I will be revisiting again many times in the future. HEA

Wicked Prince of Blood by Adalynd Grayves and Jamie Dalton

Series Wicked Princes #4🧛🔪🖤🫂✨

Published date: 24 October 2025

Keira has been fighting her whole life collection souls for her gods in order to have balance in the world. Now she has the opportunity of her dreams to collect the soul of the inmortal prince but he is nothing like the stories she’s heard. The prince is ruthless and something more? Now she’s in doubt of everything she’s lived for. Is love stronger than fate?

Opinion: This is a the first book of the series I have read but the world building is fantastic and reading the epilogue first before entering into the book is really helpful.

The dinamic was really interesting and engaging to me and now I want to read the previous books.

Tropes:

-Found family

-Villain gets the girl

-Inmortal lover

-Forbidden love

-Enemies to lovers (maybe)
