**Spicy version**

He should be off limits, but he's the best kind of trouble.

Briar
My father gave me the family brewery as an early Christmas present.

Generous, right? Except every single person on staff just quit, and I only have a budget that'll last through the end of the year.

I need a miracle.

Lucky for me, my best friend Hannah's big brother, Liam, is a genius brewer, and she convinces him to quit his job and come work for me. She only has one condition: I can never date him.

It's an easy agreement to make. I've vowed to stay away from men after an embarrassing breakup, and I'd never get involved with someone who works for me. Besides, Liam's an amateur boxer and frankly a bit terrifying.

Only...it turns out my best friend's brooding, insanely talented big brother is the only man who's ever really understood me.

Liam
I promised my sister not to date any more of her friends, because the last time I tried, it ended badly. Very badly.

I took this job thinking it wouldn't be a problem to stay away from Briar. She's a daddy's girl who looks like a princess and talks like a boarding school teacher. Not my type.

But the woman I wrote off knows a lot about beer, and she's a whole lot tougher than I gave her credit for. I want to run this brewery with her...and I want her too.

To my complete shock, I'm falling hard for my boss, and if my sister finds out, there will be hell to pay...

**A standalone romcom in the Babes of Brewing series**

Note: There are TWO different versions of this romcom:
1) A spicy open door version with some strong language and sex scenes
2) A closed door version with mild language and only kissing.
Please choose the version that's best for you!

Love, beer and miracles

This story had most of my favorite tropes beautifully blended together into a sister’s best friend, forbidden, boss-employee, forced proximity, bad boy-good girl, opposites attract, grumpy-sunshine phenomenal romance. All this goodness in one story. I loved, loved it. It’s a heartwarming, swoony and spicy story with two intense, strong and passionate characters who are both a little wounded. Plus it’s got some big feels so prepare for tissues, teeth gritting, and squeeing. Briar is the heir apparent to the Silver Star Brewery but first she had to survive her father’s increasingly onerous tasks that ultimately had her entire staff quitting en masse right before the business was turned over to her. Now she has a few short weeks to make everything work before the business fails. Despite her internal scars and insecurities, she looks like a Disney princess who was raised with all the advantages. Liam is a brewmaster at a rival brewery and the brother of Briar’s best friend, Hannah. He is grumpy, irreverent, solitary, and a little rough around the edges for reasons. He agrees to be Briar’s brewmaster at the urging of Hannah. Despite both promising Hannah they would not date, Liam and Briar’s chemistry sizzled off the page and it pulled them together no matter how hard they tried to resist. The push pull of the will they, won’t they, get out of their own way and get together, was delicious perfection. The story has baggage unpacking, female empowerment, and quirky side characters like the other books in the series but with its own unique and fresh twist making this a wonderful edition to the first two books in the series. This book made my heart so happy while I was reading it. I love this group of women and the group of wise elders with their unlikely friendships and strong sense of welcoming community. I am excited to read the final book of the Babes of Brewing especially with Dottie working her usual crystal centered magic.

Another swoony, steamy, satisfying romance in the brewery-centric series based in Asheville, NC in which four women in the industry were strung along by the same philandering creep but became friends and allies in revenge and building community and better lives moving forward.

This particular volume focuses on Briar, whose parents are unfathomably cruel and her father in particular is trying to set her up for failure as he sets untenable terms up to transfer ownership of his brewery (only one of many ruthlessly run going concerns he operates to plunder and sell), and Liam, extraordinary brewmaster and the brother of Hannah, another jilted woman who’s become a dear friend to Briar. While Hannah makes it clear to both her friend and her brother that they should not become involved in any personal way with each other, their attraction won’t be denied. Working together on making the brewery as successful as possible, they become very close, but Liam initially insists he has no interest in anything but a good, brief time, while Briar leads in all matters with her heart, gamely offering it to those in her orbit, even those who would abuse it.

When the lengths of her parents’ treachery become apparent, Liam takes the position of champion and defender of Briar, hoping against hope to keep both the brewery and their delicate, nascent romance afloat.

This was a very enjoyable read, with lots of help from many characters we met in the previous books, and moments of courage small and large worth cheering. I was fortunate to have received an advance reader copy from the author and bookfunnel, and I’m pleased to share my honest review.

I decided to request this ARC because it sounded like a fun spin on a contemporary romance, and I’m glad I did! The story takes place in Asheville, NC (I love Asheville) and our FMC owns a brewery and our MMC is a brewer (I love breweries), so I thought this would be right up my alley.

This is part of an interconnected series and I have not read the other books in the series but still found it very easy to follow and I really enjoyed the found-family aspect of this story!

This book had a great balance of plot, banter, depth, and character development, with a lot of parts that had me giggling and kicking my feet. I definitely recommend it if you’re in the mood for a fun contemporary romance.

Thank you to Hambright PR for the eARC!

*Thank you to the author, Angela Casella, and The Author Agency for providing me with an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review. *

I love this series. Last year, I read Worst Nanny Ever, which was my first book by Angela Casella. I have been curious about Briar since the last book. Especially after that ending, I wanted to read Briar’s book right away. Although I loved Hannah’s story, I loved Briar’s even more. Briar has a kind heart and wants to please everyone, even if it means doing something she doesn’t like. Briar reminds me of myself; I used to be the same way, wanting to please everyone. I think that was one of the reasons that I felt such strong connection with Briar. I hated when her father made her go through it to get Silver Star Brewery. I had a feeling that there was a reason behind it, and I was curious to find out what it was.

Liam, how can you not love him? I loved how he stepped up to help Briar, even though he could easily say no. It’s clear that Liam felt something for Briar before he started working for her, just based on the way that he had watched her. I was curious to see how long he would be able to stay away from Briar. I liked all those rules they came up with, and I wasn’t curious about whether they could stick to them, but about how long it would take them to break them. You could tell that Briar and Liam had a strong connection with each other.

I loved Briar’s friends, Hannah, Sophie, and Nora, and how they tried to help her. I feel that if it weren’t for them and Liam, Briar would have given up. I loved Liam even more when he offered to go with Briar to her parents' dinner, so she wouldn’t have to deal with them alone. Even though Liam and Briar both promised Hannah, they wouldn’t date each other, I hoped they would find a way around it. I wanted them to get together. I’m excited to read Nora’s story next.

Best Kind of Trouble is the third installment in the Babes of Brewing series, which is an interconnected standalone. Briar's father lured her home by promising her their brewery - IF she passed his "Briar Boot Camp" and had dinner with her parents every Friday. He decides to give it her her early...but only after the entire staff quits and he "generously" gives her the budget for the remainder of the year, which is just a few weeks. If she can't make the business successful again by then, she'll fail. Luckily, her friend Hannah has a brother who is one of the best brewers in town. And he owes Hannah a favor. After Liam last dated one of Hannah's friends and ruined their friendship, she made him promise that he wouldn't date any her friends ever again. He didn't think it would be a problem since, while Briar is beautiful, her rich girl background had him believing she wasn't his type. As much as he adores his sister, he doesn't think he can keep his promise this time.

I absolutely love this series! It's such a great mixture of humor, spice, and heart. Anytime Dottie and her Wise Elders Group shows up, you know things are going to get a bit weird. I think it's great how Briar and her friends took a bad situation (they were all unknowingly dating the same man) and turned it into a close friendship. Briar never really struck me as a main character in the other books - Hannah always had that kind of energy - and I really appreciated how the Angela gave Briar her story and still kept the character the same as we had previously known. Liam has an energy very similar to his sister Hannah so Liam and Briar really complement each other.

Thanks to Angela Casella for the ARC via Booksprout in exchange for my honest review.

He led her to the right amount of trouble!

Briar is the good girl who always does what she's told and is always trying to get her father's approval. Now she's handed the brewery she was promised, ahead of schedule, and the entire staff walks out after her father makes her fire two people. Good thing her best friend knows someone who can help her. Enter Liam, her best friend's older brother and the one she's told to stay away from. He's also an amazing brewer. Only, her dad's now set her up for failure with only a budget to get through the end of the year. Friends step up to help, but the more Briar tries to stay away from Liam, the more she falls. Good thing he's falling too. But when a message comes across his phone from a dating app, Briar wonders if he's just like her ex and pushes him away.

Briar and Liam get their happy ending in this standalone book in a series.

I love that the author offers this book in two versions to appeal to everyone!

I don't think there was ever going to be a chance that Briar was ever going to please her father, and I am so happy she started living for herself. I do wonder if her father ever came into the brewery he gifted her to see how she had improved the place, or if he was too hurt after she refused to accept the end and failure on his part, so he could sell the building for a profit. I would loved to have known what Liam's dad and younger brother thought of Briar, or if there were too many hurt feelings there, and it only mattered what his sister thought. I would love to read some of the stories of the Golden Years ladies who helped out, as it seems like they all have fantastic stories as well!

I received an advance review copy from Hambright PR, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I have fallen more and more in love with Angela’s books and this one definitely did not disappoint!

First off check out these tropes!

TROPES ✨
🧍 Best Friend's Brother
🏢 Workplace (she's the boss)
🚫 Off Limits
🤏🏼 Close Proximity
🥊 Bad Boy Boxer Hero
💪🏻 Protective MMC

She’s damaged because she has no one she can trust. Not even her parents. He’s damaged because he doesn’t want to ever let anyone in again because he thinks he’ll just let them down.

Briar is due to inherit her dad’s brewery but it falls unexpectedly early into her lap after her dad basically runs it into the ground. All workers quit on the spot and it’s up to her to prove to everyone she can do it. She enlists the help of her friend Hannah who’s like, “My brother will do whatever I want so he’s all yours!” Enter Liam, who actually turns out to be an expert brewer of beers and now Briar and Liam are going to attempt to single handedly save the brewery. Turns out they slowly start to save each other.

I LOVED the redemption angle of this book! Omg I ate it up! Liam makes sure she never feels alone again and protects Briar from her parents conniving ways once and for all.

And Liam, even though his sister, Hannah, swore him to never ever date one of her friends again, finds himself helpless against the pure need to protect Briar and turn her into the strong, confident woman he knows is inside.

The book kept getting better and better in the end. From Liam telling her to turn around and hold onto the ropes 😏 to Briar and Liam playing pranks on her parents to hopefully one day get UNinvited to weekly dinners 🤣.

Add this to your TBRs! Let’s go! You’re going to love this!

Thank you HambrightPR and Angela Casella for the awesome opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest review!

**Best’s Friend Brother Can Make Everything Better!**

"Best Kind of Trouble" is the third book in the "Babes of Brewing: Spicy Version" series, and I absolutely love Briar and her girl gang! The way these women meet each other is refreshing; instead of being catty and hateful, they bond and form a true sisterhood, supporting and celebrating one another through the ups and downs.

When Briar finds herself in need of help, Hannah jumps in and asks her brother Liam, the best brewmaster, to assist in saving Briar’s struggling business. The chemistry between Briar and Liam is intense from the start, but both of them are hesitant to act on it because they don’t want to disappoint Hannah. They try hard to keep their hands to themselves, but ultimately fail spectacularly.

After their first hookup, Liam attempts to push Briar away, and it’s during this time that we learn why he keeps people at a distance. I love that as he begins to let down his walls with Briar, he also starts to open up to others. He even forms his own group of guy friends, which is hilarious to read about. Their camaraderie and the antics they get into are quintessential "guy stuff."

When Liam and Briar finally give in to their feelings and stop trying to push each other away, it’s incredibly satisfying to witness their happily ever after. I thoroughly enjoyed how this book made me smile and laugh, and I found myself reaching the end much too quickly, wishing it would never end. I truly love getting lost in this world, and I’m looking forward to the next book because I have a feeling it’s going to be a wild ride with those two!

Angel Casella has done it again! This series has been a BLAST! I love these characters so much! It's not just the main characters you fall in love with but all the side characters as well. This was another wonderful story that had me smiling and laughing throughout the entire book.

OH BRIAR!!! This poor girl needed a lot of hugs through this story. Her father is an AWFUL man! But this girl is one tough cookie and I loved her for it. She is finally getting to take over the brewery that her dad owned but he left her with stipulations attached to it. She has to jump through so many hoops but with all her amazing friends and Liam anything is possible!

Liam will have you swooning like crazy!!! He was just the sweetest man and there is nothing he won't do for Briar. I loved how he helped her get her anger out at the gym with him. It's all the little things he does that make you smile.

I always have a great time anytime Dottie is in a scene. Her love for this town and everyone in it is so beautiful and she's just such a fun character.

Liam & Briar will work hard together to make this brewery come together so they can open in time for thei New Years Eve Party. They will have a lot of struggles along the way but these two work well together. If you want a book that will make you happy and take you away from things in the real world and just make you forget for awhile then this is the PERFECT book for you! I HIGHLY recommend this book and this series!

First, thank you so much to Hambright PR and author Angela Casella for sending me an ARC of Best Kind of Trouble. It is always an honor to get an ARC from an author. 🥹

Best Kind of Trouble was honestly so refreshing. It is the story of a Woman that gets her dad’s failing brewery passed on to her, with the condition that she gets everything back to running within three weeks. Sounds crazy right?? But this woman (Briar), has the most supporting group of friends that will do anything to help her succeed. Specially one of her best friend’s brother (Liam), that has been looking to ditch his current job and start something more adventurous. (And might find Briar very attractive 🫣)

Liam ends up working as the heat brewer for Briar, and that my friends… Is the start of a great love story.
This book is not just another romance. But a story that teaches us that anything can be achieved with the support of the people we love.
Briar and Liam are not perfect, but together they learn how to conquer their fears and obstacles to save the Brewery.

*Another thing I loved about this is that there’s this group of elderly ladies that are hilarious (specially Dottie and her tea shop ahaha)
I absolutely adored this book and I cannot wait to read more books from this author!!

*I 100% recommend this to my book besties if they are looking for a fun read to escape the high fantasy world.

Some of the tropes from the book:

This is the third instalment in the Babes of Brewing series, which just keeps getting better and better. This is an interconnected standalone book, so can be read by itself, but you get so much more from it if you read the books in order. The main characters from previous books and the side characters across the series add so much colour and depth to the story. The premise is that four women find out they were all dating the same man, but they don’t blame each other, instead they find solidarity and friendship. All this is within the backdrop of the brewing world in NC, and they then go on to deal with their issues and find love - and Briar is the third fabulous brewing babe to find her HEA.

Briar's father promised her that coming home and working hard would result her ownership of their brewery, but he is throwing up roadblocks at every turn. Liam is a fabulous brewer, but is known best as the angry brother of Hannah (another brewing babe), who is commitment adverse and doesn’t care what anyone thinks.

Briar needs help, and Liam may be the only person to help her… and maybe not just with the brewery issues!?

I absolutely love this series, it is a wonderful spicy romcom (although sweet versions are available too). It is packed full of humour, friendship, romance, chemistry and all wrapped up in a quirky brewing town.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

🍻 This book is funny, flirty and laced with spice! I was easily captured by the story of Briar and Liam - their entire dynamic is messy and crazy, yet perfect for them. They are so great at writing rules, but terrible at following them! There is sharp banter, nonstop & intense chemistry, and spice, still none of this overshadows the emotional connection that develops between Briar and Liam. I truly enjoyed watching them slowly come to realize they understand each other better than anyone else.

🍻 The brewery setting is creative and refreshing, and I loved it. It suits Briar’s discovery of her true self and what she is truly capable of with every roadblock that threatens her and her brewery. And despite his grumpy, almost aloof nature, Liam compliments Briar well. He has an intense talent, an intense personality and an intense desire for her. He falls hard for her and their level of chemistry is perfect. I enjoyed the distinct differences in their personalities that made it possible for each to compliment - and even help - the other in so many aspects of their lives.

🍻 This book is a fun time! Some of the best tropes are found in the book - best friend’s brother, boss/employee, very off-limits—and they are addictive. Briar and Liam had my heart the entire time. A definite must for the TBR list!

✨While is book is part of a series it can be read as a standalone. Whether you read the series or just one book - this rom-com is the best! ✨

Angela Casella is a ‘must read’ author for me and I get so excited when she publishes a new book! This book can be read as a standalone, but it is part of the Babes of Brewing series that I highly recommend. Character development with heart and humor is this author’s superpower, and I got so immersed in each person’s story. The female main character is Briar Sterling, the beautiful, kind, and intelligent new owner of Silver Star Brewery in Asheville, NC. Briar has the cruelest parents ever, and although her father gives her the failing brewery, there are so many odds stacked against her success that it seems hopeless. Briar hires ‘Mr. Miracle,’ Liam Moroney, an amateur boxer and a very talented brewer who has a bad boy reputation. He’s also the brother of her best friend Hannah, and therefore off limits. Liam and Briar work together to save the brewery, and along the way, both of them start to let down the walls that protect their previously broken hearts. There is plenty of spice, caretaking, sweet longing, and secret boxing dates. Every character, even those with smaller roles, is interesting and well-developed. The antagonists are truly awful; the plot is very compelling! I got carried away with the story, turning pages late into the night.

This book also introduces Cormac and Nora, the main characters for Angela Casella’s next book called, “Worst Faking Idea” coming out in May. I can’t wait!

I am floored every time I get a chance to be an early reader for Angela Casella 🥹 she’s the best in the romcom game, y’all! Best Kind of Trouble is book three of the Babes of Brewing series, and it was an absolute delight. I’ve been so excited for Briar’s story! Thank you Angela, Hambright PR, and The Author Agency for the gifted eARC 🫶

I’ve been a little obsessed with Briar since meeting her in Best Served Cold - she’s a modern day Rapunzel with a heart of gold. Learning her backstory made so many puzzle pieces click, and I had many “aha!” moments throughout the book. She takes over her family’s brewery in a very unorthodox way, and her dad doesn’t make it easy on her at all. Liam’s a brewing genius who quits his job to help Briar make her brewery a success. He’s her best friend Hannah’s brother, and Hannah explicitly told Liam that any of her friends are OFF. LIMITS. But Liam and Briar can’t deny their attraction for each other, and lines start to blur.

Blair and Liam are dynamic together. Their love story is addictive, and I giddily watched them become vulnerable and truly get to know each other. Once they did, it was undeniable that they were meant to be.

I appreciated that you can choose a “spicy” or “sweet” version of this book, just like the first two. And the banter? The BANTER. No one does it like Angela Casella. I was admittedly a little sad that we didn’t get as much of Briar’s friends as in the previous books, but appreciated that Casella wanted to focus on highlighting this gorgeous love story.

Angela Casella does it again in delivering another amazing story! This one features Liam and Briar and is the 3rd book of the Babes of Brewing series. I loved the storyline and the great supporting characters that really helps build a world that you feel as if you are living it right along with them.

Briar is out to prove that she can be successful with managing the Silver Star Brewery, but faces difficult challenges and a timeline that at times is overwhelming because of her own insecurities and manipulative dysfunctional parents, specifically her father. Liam is her best friend's brother, the grumpy bad boy, with a smirk that reels you in, razor sharp wit and banter, a protective side that makes him the perfect partner for Briar. There is some serious sexy chemistry and tension between them as they grow closer in their relationship while trying to maintain what is considered an acceptable distance because of promises made and workplace dynamics. When they make the decision to do indulge in their attraction for each other the spiciness and heat are next level!

I thoroughly enjoyed this one and loved the fun and witty banter, emotional vulnerability and growth of the characters, the strong found family, hilarious antics and heartwarming story that has me excited for the next book in the series.

ARC review

I LOVE this series so much. It is such a great time. Each book follows one of the best friend, who have met and come together because they were cheated on by the same guy, at the same time. each book is funny, swoon worthy and has some hot FMCS & MMCS. The FMCs are fierce and strong and the MMCs are supportive and let their women shine.

This one follows Blair. She has finally gotten the brewery her dad promised her and is determined to be a success. Come to find out, her dad is just as awful as he seems and he never wanted success for his daughter. he is actively working against her to watch her fail. BUt Blair won’t give up. With the help of her friends, their men and the town’s lovable grannies, Blair works to re-open the brewery by new years eve. Blair has no doubt she will succeed because she has one very important key to success, the town’s best brewer
has agreed to help.

Liam is Blair’s best friend, Hannah’s, brother and hannah asked him to help blair on one condition... they both need to agree they won’t fall for the other. A promise neither thought would be hard to make, but as it turns out, it’s harder to keep.

I highly recommend this series and recommend you read them in order.

NOTE: I read the spicy version, so my spice rating is based on that.

Thank you HambrightPR and Angela Casella for the ARC.

Worst Nanny Ever was so good, but Best Kind of Trouble might just be my favorite in the Babes of Brewing series so far, and that’s saying something, because this whole series has been a win. It’s honestly hard to choose a favorite. If you haven’t started it yet, I can’t recommend it enough. Angela Casella really delivers again, hitting all the best tropes: best friend’s brother, forbidden attraction, forced proximity, and that classic grumpy/sunshine dynamic.

At the heart of the story is Briar, who’s handed the keys to her family’s struggling brewery under circumstances that feel more like a setup than an inheritance, thanks to her less-than-supportive parents. Her journey is about keeping the business afloat, but also about finding her footing and choosing herself along the way. Briar is a strong, compassionate FMC, and it’s impossible not to root for her.

Then there’s Liam...guarded, rough around the edges, and fully intending to keep things professional when he agrees to help Briar. Emphasis on intending. Let’s just say that plan doesn’t last very long.

One of my favorite things about this book, and really the whole series, is the focus on friendship and found family. It adds so much warmth and depth to the story and makes it feel like so much more than just a romance.

What To Expect:
- best friend's brother
- close proximity
- off limits
- banter
- protective and bad boy mmc
- she's the boss
- workplace romance

4.5⭐️

oh my god i love the characters so much! i truly dont who i love more. both liam and briar each have their own strengths and are both so unique, it's just so hard to not love them.

personally i dont think i would ever step foot into a brewery because i dont like alcohol at all 😅 yet i love reading romances that involve wineries or breweries which this book involves the latter. briar owns a brewery and liam is a brewer. i always find that so fascinating and love reading about it. who knows maybe one day i will go to one just for the heck of it. 😂

besides that there is sooo much to love about this book. the banter is off the charts and i guarantee that this book will have you giggling and kicking your feet like it did to me. i loved every second of this book and i hope everyone adds it to their tbr or purchases it when it comes out tomorrow. it will capture your heart and i can't wait to reread this masterpiece in the near future.

thank you so much hambright pr for giving me this opportunity to read and review this incredible book!🫶🏼🫶🏼

Best Kind of Trouble is amazing and I loved this book with all my heart! 🥹💕 It was addicting like a bowl of buttered popcorn and I thought it was adorable, hilarious, and so much fun! 🫶

Briar has so much put onto her plate when her dad gives her his failing brewery and says he will give her ownership to it if she can turn it around in three weeks. Briar truly is such a wonderful FMC and she cares so deeply for this brewery. Her friends are the absolute best and I love how much they love her and want to support. Don’t get me started on Liam because he is amazing and I love how he ends up helping Briar at the brewery. I love their chemistry and banter so much with one another! 🤭🔥

Lastly, the thing I found absolutely amazing with this story is that there are two different versions of it in order to cater to all kinds of readers! 🥰 There is a spicy version and there is a sweet version. I chose to read the sweet version so my review is based off that version of the story!

If you love rom-com books, best friend’s brother, forced proximity, workplace, and a book that will put a huge smile on your face then this is the book for you! 🫶

I’m going to just say it…this has been my favorite of the series so far.

Liam..this gruff, tough, give zero f*cks man who falls on his ass for Briar. And it has nothing to do with her looks. He loves her kindness and her business ideas. He wants to protect her heart and feelings while being NEXT to her for support. Instead of just taking over. He supports her in the sweetest way. Even if he wants to hurt many, many people in the process.

Briar…my sweet girl. She has a heart of gold. She’s been taken advantage of for her kindness but she finally finds her voice and is determined to make the brewery she took over be successful. Setback after setback never stopped her from following her dreams with the brewery.

The way these two loved each other, supported each other, accepted each other. I mean Liam showing to Briar’s family dinners every Friday?! He’s a saint.

The side characters in this series are just everything. The found family vibes? Top tier. The laugh out loud moments? Yep, plenty of those too!

Thank you Hambright PR and Angela for the early e-arc to read and review! I can’t wait for Nora’s book next!

We are progressing through the series and almost all of the Brewing Babes are getting the romances they deserve. We’ve met Briar, runs a brewery despite her father conducting business boot camps and treating her like garbage. Liam, Hannah’s big brother, “man about town” and a talented brew master, is now working for Briar. The two are forbidden from a fling, thanks to promises made to Hannah. However that just stirs the pot and makes everything seem more desirable. Due to special circumstances provided by her father Briar must turn business around. Thankfully Asheville is full of friends and volunteers to help Briar and Liam make something of the little brewery making big noises. It always entertaining reading/watching a couple become something and the added banter just make it more special. Liam and Briar clicked instantly and the connection was very natural. These books are connected because all four women dated Jonas at the same time and took revenge on him, they are forever friends. Always something to look forward to when I get early copies of Casella’s books, reviews are provided voluntarily.

I always love an Angela Casella book and was so happy to get my hands on this one early! It did NOT disappoint! This is book 3 in the Babes of Brewing series, and I think it might be my favorite so far!

This is Briar and Liams story and both of them carry some emotional baggage that they do their best to hide. Briar doesn't trust anyone, including her own parents, and Liam tends to hold everybody at arm's length because he is terrified of disappointing them and thinks he is not good enough. I feel like this really makes their connection feel so much more genuine.

Briar was set to inherit her father's brewery after working for him and going through "Briar Boot Camp", but after he basically runs it into the ground and the staff all walks out, it gets dropped in her lap a bit early. Of course, she turns to her trusty friend group, where Hannah volunteers her brothers help. He owes her a favor, and she is cashing in. Liam is a highly skilled brewer who is actually excited for the opportunity to be able to brew the beers he loves, and he becomes Briar's partner to try to rebuild the brewery.

Watching Liam step up for Briar, protect her from her horrible parents, and make sure she never feels alone again was just wonderful. Despite promising his sister that he would never get involved with her friends, Liam is struggling to resist Briar. This same thing goes for Briar, considering she promised Hannah the same.

There were some really good fun and spicy moments throughout the book. The way that Briar and Liam teamed up towards the end to prank her parents was just great. Oh, and of course we cannot forget Dottie! She has to be one of my favorite side characters ever! Everybody needs a Dottie in their lives!

I definitely recommend you add this one to your TBR, as well as the first 2 if you haven't already read them. Thank you, Angela, for the early copy to read!

As always, Angela Casella does not disappoint!

Briar has been jumping through every hoop her father has asked in order to become the owner of her brewery. His latest demand leaves her in a bind when the entire staff quits in protest. She needs a brewer and a miracle to keep the place open. And she needs it all to happen before New Year's Eve.
Liam has a passion for brewing beer and a warning from his sister to stay far away from Briar. Dating her friends in the past has caused nothing but trouble. But when Briar needs his help, staying away isn't so easy.
Even through all the disasters thrown their way, Liam and Briar manage to keep the brewery going and find that staying away from each other isn't what they actually want.
I loved every second of this book. The characters are hilarious, and truly care about each other. Even the side characters have a vested interest in making sure everyone gets their 'happily ever after.'

I received a complimentary copy of the book and am leaving a voluntary review.

Out of all the books I’ve read in this series, this one might just be my favorite—though honestly, each installment holds a special place in my heart. This story felt especially powerful because of Briar’s growth. Watching her finally stand up to her controlling father and the so-called “good friend” from boarding school (aka her bully) was so satisfying and long overdue.

Liam absolutely stole my heart. He doesn’t just support Briar—he actively pushes himself to be better. Whether it’s stepping up at the brewery or working on himself so he can truly be the partner Briar deserves, his character arc is all about growth, accountability, and quiet devotion. Together, they bring out the best in each other, and their relationship felt earned, tender, and deeply grounding.

Just like the rest of the series, you get two reading options: a spicy version and a non-spicy version, which I love because it lets every reader choose their own comfort level without missing out on the story.

And now… I am so ready for Nora’s book. 👀📖

I’m so in love with these two!! Briar and Liam are just the sweetest.

Favorite quote: A man who brews beer learns how to be patient. It takes time for things to become more than just the components you’ve put in.

We got to know a bit about Briar in the first two books. She was betrayed by Jonah but came out on the other side with two best friends. She has not had an easy life regardless of what people think. Briar naturally draws people to her. She has trouble standing up for herself but will do anything for others.

Liam aka Mr. Miracle is her new best friends brother. He is a brewer and really creative in his recipes. His creativity is stunted in his current job so when Hannah asks him to work for Briar it was easy to say yes. He has a reputation and is misunderstood by anyone outside of his very small circle.

When they begin to work together they start to notice each other more. As time goes on it’s hrs to ignore the attraction but Hannah asked them both to not date each other.

“You’re not a princess anymore, Briar. You’re the motherfucking queen.”

This series keeps getting better and better with each book. I had so much fun with this story. I loved Briar and Liam so much. They're just perfect together.

I love the way that Briar and Liam brought out the best in each other. And how they had each other's back when it counted the most. It was also so much fun seeing the Wise Elders Group and their shenanigans. I always have a blast seeing them in this series.

I also hope we get to see more of Great-Aunt Sky she was such a fun addition to the story. And I gotta say I got a little emotional seeing everybody come together to help Briar out on New Year's Eve, but I absolutely loved seeing her stick it to her dad and not letting anything that he did bring her down.

Quote: “You honestly think you didn’t get me anything? You gave me everything. Before you burst into my life, I was stuck in a dead-end job, just surviving. You’ve made me feel alive again.”

An engaging grumpy/sunshine romance that hit me in all the feels. Emotionally gut wrenching at times as Brair finds her inner strength with the help of Liam's unwavering belief and trust in her. The best friends, quirky townspeople, and new friends that show up define the power of found family (adding some funny moments).

Brair is emotionally abused by the people closest to her (worst offenders being her father as well as her mother, who plays a lesser role), but she gets an opportunity to run her own brewery although her father really is setting her up to fail. Liam is a bad boy who is also an amazing brewer. Fate and friendship have them working together to save the brewery, but he has a history of breaking his sister's friend's hearts and Briar is one of her best friends, making the relationship is forbidden despite the fact that Liam is the only one who sees her clearly and pushes her to the queen he knows she is. They are perfect for each other, but it takes some time and trust for her to see it. This book really does hit all the right notes for a great journey to the HEA.

Angela is back with her hot guys and sexy Babes of Brewing.

Briar who we met in the other two books is in a family who loves to make her fail or feel like a failure.

Her parents are downright terrible.

Liam is the bad boy everyone loves. Hannah is his sister and she loves him beyond words but she also knows him too well.

When Briar's father sets the deck for her new brewing station to fail Hannah is the first to help.

Liam is a hotshot brew master but she makes them both swear to stay away from each other.

The crew they get to help them run Silver Star is a ragtag group from 80 year old retirees to new blood in their 20's but they pull together.

My favorite laugh out loud parts and Liam and Briar going to forced weekly dinner at her parents and Ann and Otis picking dating apps.

Whether you like sweet romance or you like some spice, Angela has you covered.

If you haven't read this series, now's your time! My favorite RomComs.

Goodness, I loved this book! Briar and Liam's story was filled with all the forbidden vibes mixed with delicious tension, healing, and spice. I couldn't get enough!

Liam was such a phenomenal character. He's been hurt badly and keeps everyone at arms length. It broke my heart. He hides his big heart (and feelings) under his big, tough exterior. The way he not only encourages Briar, but stands up for and behind her was perfection. She was so amazing too. I loved watching her go from the quiet, people pleaser to the confident and strong woman. Briar had been hurt a lot too. Her parents were truly awful. She has the biggest heart and the kindest soul.

These two had such a strong bond. The way they healed one another and made each other better was everything. Briar showed Liam that he was capable of love and worth choosing. He showed her that she was strong and had more to offer than just beauty. I absolutely loved everything about their romance. And the side characters? Amazing. The epilogue was perfection as well. Gah! I couldn't get enough.

Another hit by Angela Casella!
This book is spicy and sweet in the best possible combination.
As this is book is part of a series we’ve met both Briar and Liam before.
Liam is the brother of Briar’s friend Hanna and she’s sternly warned Liam to keep his hands away from Briar and he’s made a promise never to hit on any of Hanna’s friends. Hanna also warned Briar about her brother’s inability to stay in a relationship.
When Briar needs a brewer to save her brewery Liam is stepping up and as challenges follows they work together and feelings evolve.
That they promised Hanna, whom they both love, to stay away from each other makes the tension grow and the anticipation is as spicy as well as when they inevitably sucumb. And through the story there is the sweet flavour of two genuinly nice people caring for each other and for their friends.

It’s a great read and I read it one go.
