Eizo Tanya is a middle-aged, very burned-out, software engineer. One night after working late, he throws himself in front of a speeding truck to save a cat. Although the cat survives, Eizo is not so lucky. In a spark of divine fate, the cat turns out to be a godlike being who offers him a second chance in another world! Should he be a legendary warrior? A noble king? Nope! All Eizo wants is a peaceful life making things for others, and what better way to do that than becoming a blacksmith? He does have one other to live alongside a cute cat. His requests are granted but with a twist—Eizo’s blacksmithing skills are so overpowered that they’re practically cheat abilities. On top of that, the cat companion he wished for turns out to be a half-tiger girl! With so much commotion in this world, will Eizo be able to forge a quiet new life?
Been reading the light novels. Love the manga too now.
After dying out of turn on Earth, while saving a cat from being hit by a truck, Eizo finds himself in the realm between worlds. Turns out, the cat he saved is acutely a watchdog over several worlds and offers to put him back into another world (can't go back to ours as she saw him die, which means that she can't send him back) she offers him cheats to help him out with his new life. So, now he's younger, stronger, and had all sorts of knowledge about the world about blacksmithing. He's even got a sweet pad, with shop attached. The first being he meets is a wounded cat girl, who he works to heal. Thus start the legend of Forge Eizo.
I read your books as far as I could. Waiting for more of them to come out. Just really enjoyed the book and now love the manga. I think that is you are enjoying this you would really enjoy the book. Some of the things there you won't read here.
So far this is a really fun isekai. The funny part is the cat he wanted to have in this life turned out to be a cute cat girl instead lol. Not a bad thing for sure.
Man dies saving a cat dot dot dot programmer reincarnates in a fantasy world as an OP blacksmith. It's not a litrpg with classes or levels. Has a "harem without romance" vibe as the protagonist is quickly cohabitting with multiple women.
A low-key isekai story without any dramatic stakes and few romantic elements, which is a much appreciated change of pace from what this genre often exhibits.
