Confessions of an Online Personal Trainer

The hilarious, feel-good memoir for anyone who's cried in a sports bra or googled "how to fake a burpee."

From the sun-drenched chaos of Malta, personal trainer Ally Britton is trying to help real women get strong — physically, emotionally, and occasionally in fishnets. But between dodgy Wi-Fi, Zoom disasters, jazz shows gone rogue, and clients with tiaras and foot fetishes, it turns out strength is less about squats… and more about surviving the madness.

💪 Part fitness confessional

💃 Part friendship-fuelled chaos

🐶 100% relatable and riotously funny

✔ Accidental pole dancing

✔ Midlife crises with sequins

✔ Bridesmaids, breakdowns & body glitter

✔ A Shih Tzu named Oscar and one too many protein bars

Perfect for fans

• Bridget Jones in a sports bra

• Caitlin Moran, Bella Mackie, and Adam Kay

• Expat memoirs with extra sweat

This isn't fitspo. This is real, ridiculous, empowering fitness — the kind that comes with snacks, side eyes, and accidental nudity.

About the author

Ally Britton | Dance Teacher | Fitness Coach

Ally Britton is a slightly chaotic dance teacher, a ballet, dance, and acro tutor (RAD & ISTD), and the author of a romantic comedy book (Move With Ally) about dance life, leg day, and the occasional wardrobe disaster. Her writing blends humor, heart, and a dash of chaos, giving readers a peek into the world of a dance and fitness teacher whose classes — whether in-person or online — are as unpredictable as they are joyful.

Based in sun-drenched Malta, Ally teaches one-to-one and group dance and fitness classes for kids and adults. She also reaches clients worldwide through online sessions, helping them laugh, sweat, and feel seen.

When she’s not choreographing routines, guiding workouts, or dodging her very opinionated Shih Tzu, Oscar, she’s writing stories that celebrate movement, mishaps, and the messy, wonderful life of a dancer and coach.
