Sons of Dust: The Roots of Biblical Manliness
Masculinity has been misrepresented in contemporary society. Men have become associated with either two camps one which is too similar to femininity to be complementary, and another that is a caricature which casts modern men as neolithic knuckle-draggers in a primetime sitcom.

A relatively simplistic study, and I say that in the most positive way. The author does an excellent job of breaking down the Creation of Man and pulling the ideas out in a completely tangible and practical way. I would recommend this to all my male (and female) friends.

I received this book to review from BookCrash bloggers program. Not being a man, I asked my husband to review the book and give me his insight and thoughts. So, while I did read his highlighted portions of this book and I am writing this review, most of the thoughts of this book are his, with a few comments from me.
My husband is not necessarily a “reader” – at least not as much as I am. However, this is a book that he truly enjoyed. I know this because of the highlighted sections throughout the book.
This book, Sons of Dust; The Roots of Biblical Manliness by Chris Clevenger, is based on the second chapter of Genesis – the account of the Garden of Eden. The author, walks with the reader through the concepts found there to develop and enrich their masculine spirit and cultivate what God instilled in Adam. Thereby developing his character and potential to live as Sons of Dust. This book would be a great study for church men’s group – for men young and old.
