Rate this book
After a short-sighted endeavor to quietly make some money, Maxis Troy finds he has become a target of The Brotherhood of Cain—a violent gang led by a man renowned worldwide as The Grim Reaper. Luck appears to be on his side, however, as a girl with her own agenda comes to his aid. Armed with the superpower to alter and improve any technology with just a touch, the two enter a three-way stalemate between the embodiment of death itself, a worldwide organization of religious zealots, and a woman who fancies herself a Goddess.

In a world rampant with superpowers, criminal organizations, and questionable authorities, Maxis will quickly learn that a cruel world will only breed crueler people.

Welcome to String, where everyone is hanging on by a thread.

I love it here

I read this book while it was still a webserial, and it's so exciting to see quality work being picked up and published when so many fly under the radar.

If you enjoy a dystopian world that's always moving and changing, loveable characters, interesting and unique powersets, and a fresh spin on sci-fi - give this a go, you won't regret it!

Enjoyable progression with superpowers

Quite good. MC has a powerful but time limited tech progression power. He and his allies are also dumb teenagers to nerf them but not overly dumb so it doesn't get too annoying.

The super power world seems quite interesting with a lot of cool powers on display.

Will definitely continue reading.

worth it

As a finish this book it’s midnight of the second day it took me to finish this book. Worth every second. The action and creativity are top notch. The characters make mistakes but it’s very on brand for teenagers. Looking forward to the next book
