M. Leighton è nata in Ohio.
New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author, M. Leighton, is a native of Ohio. She relocated to the warmer climates of the South, where she can be near the water all summer and miss the snow all winter. Possessed of an overactive imagination from early in her childhood, Michelle finally found an acceptable outlet for her fantastical visions: literary fiction. Having written over a dozen novels, these days Michelle enjoys letting her mind wander to more romantic settings with sexy Southern guys, much like the one she married and the ones you'll find in her latest books. When her thoughts aren't roaming in that direction, she'll be riding wild horses, skiing the slopes of Aspen or scuba diving with a hot rock star, all without leaving the cozy comfort of her office.
About Michelle: I love coffee and chocolate, even more so when they are combined. I'm convinced that one day they could be the basis for world peace. I also love the color red and am seriously considering dying my hair.
How in the hell did I miss this coming out? I had heard she might be writing a Christmas story...but that was it so I was pleasantly surprised to come across it.
I can't really say too much about the story except the gang is all together to celebrate a family Christmas.
We get some juicy bits about Nash and Marissa and Ginger and Gavin but the main focus is Cash and Olivia. I love how crazy he is about her and vice versa!
Needless, to say it ends with a bombshell! The only saving grace is ML's putting out a fourth book this spring called Always With You. Cannot wait!
Favorite quotes:
♥ “Well, if you need some pointers, I’d be glad to tell you how to get the job done.”
♥ “And just so you know, if I had to sleep with him to get this done, I’d make a point to be terrible in bed. I wouldn’t want to make you look bad.”
How can Leighton drop a bomb shell like that and have us just wait around. That is just blessed torture.
I can't recall this Sophia chick but to drop the baby bomb after what is apparently years and on Christmas is just down right wrong. Especially considering Cash is happily married and trying to have a baby with Olivia.
This will destroy poor Olivia. Question is... after waiting so long.... why now. The child had a right to know from the start just as Cash had a right to know.
4 - "He possessed me, heart, body, and soul, a long time ago." Stars!
The Davenport brothers hold a huge place in my heart, this little Christmas novella, certainly is welcome in the fact that it gave me a little more time with Cash and Nash, but the best thing about it...
I an guessing that it may well be a pre-cursor to a longer visit with the brothers, their women and there families sometime in the future. I can't wait if that is the case!
This one is very short, but covers a lot of ground. I love what Ginger had to offer to Olivia, loved the verbal smack down Cash gave to everyone, but hated the ending. But I should have known better with this series, it's known for cliff hanger endings, I just didn't expect it with a short.
This was a quick, steamy, and sweet read from M. Leighton that I just completely loved. It gave me just another fantastic opportunity to spend time with the fantastic characters of this series, and I loved every word I got from this short story. It was brimming with love, passion, family, and it definitely had some twists that will make your jaw drop. Trust me. You won't see what happens coming, you just won't, and that is just part of what made this short story so great.
This short story allows you to see all of the characters from this series, but the main focus in Cash and Olivia. They're still the best, and you just get so much more of them. You get their love and passion and desire, and this short story just reaffirms the depth of feeling those two have for one another. That just made me so happy to read, and I loved spending time with them once again. You also get updates on the other fabulous characters of this series, which was just wonderful. M. Leighton definitely brought all of their personalities out in the best way in this short story, and it was just fantastic to spend time with all of them and to get all of their interactions.
This is a quick read, but it certainly packs a punch with the story and just level of emotion and feeling bursting through it. You get the perfect amount of drama, love, and heat to captivate you completely. You also get so many moments where your heart melts and hurts just a bit for what Cash and Olivia are going through. And just wait until you get to the end...
A Davenport Christmas was the perfect short story and follow up to this series. I can't wait to continue reading more on all of these phenomenal characters and to see where the future takes Cash and Olivia. The best part of this story was once again realizing why I loved all of these characters so much, especially Cash and Olivia. It just reminded me so much of why I love this series so much, and I just can't wait for more!
Cash. Cash. Cash. Cash. Psssst...Did I mention we get more Cash??!! We find Olivia & Cash happily married & trying to have a baby. Things aren't happening as easy as they'd hoped. The one thing she wants & that Cash can make happen is to bring their family & friends together for Christmas. The Davenport's hope everyone can put their differences aside for just one meal. But their celebration is cut short by a blast from Cash's past. This was a great set up for AWY? We definitely NEED that book to get the answers we NEED. Even though ADC is short it still has all the elements that made me fall for this series at the start. O&C are still HOT, C&N still crack me up with their banter & we get to check in with Ginger!!! I can't wait to see what M.Leighton has up her sleeve for these two.
- To be able to hold a baby that we made together, a little girl who looks like her momma or a little boy who will grow up to protect you when I'm gone, I'd love that.
We get to see the whole crew again in this one. Olivia and Cash are hosting Christmas, even with all of the mayhem that is known will ensue. Cash just wants Olivia to be happy and knows that not having a baby although they have been trying is upsetting her. Nash informs Cash that he and Marissa are expecting so Cash knows that Olivia will be happy for them but even sadder for herself. After all of the worrying and planning, Christmas has finally arrived and Cash goes out of his way to make sure it goes well and everyone gets along for Olivia's sake. Some unexpected guests arrive at the end of the tale that make it known that this story is far from over. Just hoping Olivia gets her HEA along with Cash.
This is one of my very favorite book series. I read these books a long time ago, before I wrote reviews. I know...how can I not write reviews? It was years ago, now I can not read a book without writing a review. So to make things easier on me...I am going to write one review for this series and paste in each of the books in this fantastic series, that I have read at least three times. Yes I LOVE this series that much!!!
In The Bad Boys Series, we meet Cash and Nash Davenport...holy HOTTNESS!!! These alphas will blow your mind. I won't go into great detail because I do not want to give anything away. But please take my advice...these books are absolutely fantastic. One of my top three absolute favorite series.
Minor a fan of novellas but I have to read these to find d out w h at happens next. Olivia gets her family all together fir a Chris t mas dinner. That includes mother a budget husband. Her mother remains just an awful person but they work Sri u nd all that. The salary t of this story is that cash an Olivia really want to have to child but are notable to make it happen. This causes Olivia to doubt herself and feel like she is failing cash. To top if all off Nash and Marissa are or e can't but they hold off telling Olivia. Just when the dinner us goin we'll an ex from cashes past shows up with a surprise. A surprise that will d e ecstasy Olivia.
It's Christmas time and Cash and Olivia decides to host Christmas dinner at the club for their friends and family. Olivia finds herself stressing about the family being able to get along and enjoy one another for the holidays and trying to give her husband the love of them both...A Baby. Cash, wants a baby with his wife more than anything, but if it don't happen, he's just happy being with Olivia, the love of his life, his heart and his soul. As Olivia starts to speak to her family, she's interrupted by an uninvited guests.
A continuation of the Davenport family and their Christmas holiday. Olivia and Cash are married and are trying to get pregnant but it's not going well. Olivia is emotional and so worried that she can't get pregnant. She is brokenhearted and feels that she is ruining Cash's chances of being a father. Cash wants a baby with his wife so much but he doesn't want her to feel worse about things because he loves her so much. Olivia wants their whole family together for the holiday and invites them all. There are so many different personalities and it makes the holidays harder.
Nice to get more of Liv and Cash, plus catching up with the others too.
Sadly its a very quick read, but that's not to say the love they share does not pour out of them.
It was lovely t see Liv and Cash be there for each other, and for Cash to make sure everyone tows the line with having a good time, after everything Liv has done to make it a good Christmas.
Blooming heck, way to stop hearts! Oh my, poor Liv, especially when she is feeling so low, to have Sophie, Cash's ex stop by.....
So I was excited when I got to read this, I mean who wouldn't want more of the Davenports. It was fun getting to see them all again and see how well they are doing. My heart went out to Olivia, that is the worst feeling and poor Cash doesn't know how to help her. I was just as excited to see Nash & Marissa and I couldn't be more ecstatic. BUT let me just say WOW I did not see that ending coming...eeek more Davenport's to come !!!!
