If you recall what happened at the end of the last hardcover volume...then you are really going to enjoy the first 11 pages of this volume! That is no knock on the preceding 560+ pages, but this was one seriously cool way to kick off the book! Joe has done it in this volume! It is said within the pages, but Joe is newsworthy and when he succeeds or fails...people are very interested in him. This is so true with boxing and personalities. This volume is just as big as previous volumes, but I found it reading a bit quicker...or maybe I should use the word "smoother".

The fight between Wolf and Joe is built up and delivered in this epic volume! That final part of the book with Joe versus (Spoiler alert) you cannot help but be glued to each and every page! What a book!

"I bet... it's that wild instinct of yours. Instinct can be a spooky thing. From time to time it predicts things exactly right."

Truly an edging volume because of the cliffhanger end and the sharp tension leading up to the fight between Joe and Rikiishi. Here we see the disparity of Joe's impoverished upbringing being highlighted in the professional world of boxing. Not much to say without spoiling the content, but a volume that really builds upon the conflict between the opposing characters of Joe and Rikiishi.

Very One-Note and predictable. Maybe the worst main character I have ever read. Unbelievably overrated manga that is quite disappointing so far, but the ending of this volume left on an interesting cliffhanger. I will finish the series for sake of completion, but I would never recommend this series to anyone.

Oh damn! This is probably the most engaging volume so far! Talk about being pushed to the utter limits!
