Processed is the first book in the Awake in a Dream series following Lana Murphy's adventure in an alternate reality.
Lana Murphy wakes up in a cell and doesn't know where she is or how she got there. In fact, Lana's brain is oddly empty of information. Led around a strange facility by a personal escort, she is showered, dressed, and put on display.
Displayed at a party as if she was an object to be sampled or purchased, Lana catches the eye of beautiful Gabriel. With something preventing her from protesting, escaping, and fighting her circumstances, Lana's only option is to go along with the ride.
Excerpt:
The lounge area went almost completely silent as the occupants noticed our approach. The men and women gathered there were richly dressed. They drank us in with unabashed eagerness. That's when I suspected we were the night's entertainment.
The chairs were grouped together in five different groups. I was lead to the third group and my escort had me kneel on a cushion that was placed on the floor before the three chairs.
“Good evening, Masters and Mistress.” My escort smiled as she addressed the group. “Tonight we have girl Lana Murphy on display. She is currently available for purchase. You will find her details in the provided brochures.”
My stomach clenched into a cold knot at the revelation that I was considered an object that could be purchased.
