Touched by the Boss

Touched by the Boss is the second book in the Tempted Series by Hazel Kelly.

The high of pulling off the Christmas party was one thing, but Ella never could've prepared herself for what it would feel like to have her boss's hands on her.

Now, even though her head is saying she did the right thing by resisting him, her body is telling her she's made a huge mistake.

And Will Abbott couldn't agree more.

This is the second story in the series. Both characters had a moment during the story that I disliked them. At the start of the book, Ella described Will well as a pouty boy that did not get his own way. I felt he did not respect a no and kept calling Ella a tease. Ella continued to be rude about her mother's accommodation, with the amount she earned could she not offer to help her mum if it was so bad? Especially as she admits she has no experience in her job and straight out asks for 70,000.
However, this kept the characters true to their personalities which I liked. The story flowed well, it was a quick read and the two main characters interacted much better in this story than the first.
Overall, I am happy to continue reading the series.

The Thrill Of The Hunt

This is the second book in this series. Same characters. In this book we see Elle start to come out of her shell she has put herself in to try to protect herself from heartache. And Will taking it slow with her as to not spook her.

I found this a better read than the first book as I liked the banter more between the main characters. Overall it was a good read and I'm looking forward to reading the next part of their journey.

Ella is beginning to get on my nerves a bit, and Will can be a touch arrogant, but I want to see the continuation...

When Ella managed to do such a superb job of the Christmas party the last thing that she was expecting was for Will to make a move on her and even though she loved the kiss that they both shared she knew it was a bad idea and ended up running out of the room to her own hotel room. The only problem is now is that her body wants Will like no tomorrow and that she can't seem to get it out of her mind and no matter how much she tries to tell herself that she shouldn't let anything happen between the two of them Will seems to have other ideas. Whilst she was in Will's arms it's like she forgot everything, it's as if he made everything for her feel really fuzzy inside and out.

Will has seen Ella in a new light, before the Christmas party he had a few doubts about whether she could pull it off even though he knew that he was attracted to her but when the Christmas party came along he was honestly shocked at what she had managed to pull of, but now he is even more determined to try and get her to see things from his way. Now that he is seeing her in a different light he now comes to terms with the fact that this arrangement that he has going on with his ex wife Laura now needs to stop because it's not helping anyone, in fact it's just making them both not move forward but stuck living in the past.

All over the weekend Ella feels really bad about running out on him but she can't help but feel like because of doing that, that she may have cost her the job of her dreams. So when she heads into work on the Monday to discuss with Will about giving her the job full time Will decides to play a game by being quite harsh because that's what she had done to him after the party. Later on after their meeting Will sends Ella an email apologising for the way he was but to also make up for how he was by taking her out for a meal later that evening and for them to also discuss Ella's job.

Ella can tell that Will is trying his hardest to win her over and when he tells her that he is accepting her for the job she can't contain her joy, but what she doesn't realise is that Will is taking in every little thing that she does. Over dinner Ella finds out more about Will that hasn't been spread all over the internet, she finds out the truth from him and she is quite shocked to learn that years back he lost both his mother and father and because of this you can see that she is slowly starting to let her guard down with him.

A few weeks later there is a Fundrasing Gala that Will is part of and when he invites Ella she has no idea what to say, she agrees to go with him but after a much needed talk with her best friend she is starting to realise that her running out on him after the Christmas party was a mistake and that she needs to stop over thinking everything.

What will Ella do when it becomes just the two of the after the gala, will she run away like last time or will she not fight the attraction she has for Will. Also will he be able to convince Ella to just let go and be free and take a chance at happiness.

STARS: 5
POV: First
SERIES: Yes
CLIFFHANGER: Yes

The first installment in the series left off with Will and Ella getting very hot and steamy, but before it can get too far, Ella runs off. To say Will is angry is an understatement. From my previous review, I stated that Will is used to getting what he wants. He wants Ella and she walked away from him. So let’s bump the tension up quite a bit here.

Ella is still facing the dilemma. She is attracted to Will but she also cares about her job and her future career. There is also the inner voice telling her that she is afraid of being disappointing in bed with such a man of great experience in the matter while she is extremely lacking. Those are the main reasons why she didn’t go through with sleeping with Will.

Will on the other hand is even more determined now. He will not be swayed from his mission. He has cut everyone else out of his bed and awaits the day he can lay Ella down in it.

With Ella’s trial job going very successfully, she decides that despite the awkward night together in the hotel she is going to talk to Will about a permanent job with the company. I found myself laughing at that exchange. It was quite entertaining.

Does Ella finally give in? Does Will give her the permanent job? Does Will give up on seducing Ella? I won’t tell! You’ll have to read to find out! At this point, I am addicted to this story and cannot wait to get into the third installment. I still love Ella’s character and Will is hot sexy and very lovable. The book is written well and I could not put the book down until it was complete. I cannot wait to see where this adventure lands! So many possibilities! Great series Hazel Kelly! Keep ‘em coming!

This story continues where the last book ended. Ella, having successfully planned her bosses Christmas party, is on cloud nine. She can't believe she did it, but she's proud nonetheless. Never in her dreams did she think she could gain two things she's always wanted: her dream job, and a man who treats her like she's priceless. In this book Will finally tells, or shows, Ella how he feels about her, but she resists him.

Will, a rich, powerful, and successful man never thought he would hear a woman tell him 'no'. Especially not the woman who he's been obsessed with for months. He still wants her, but he knows it's going to take time and work to make her his. But when he finally gets her in his hands, he's prepared to show her how big a mistake she made when she walked out on him that day.

This was a great second part to the series. I love Ella's character, how she takes such pride in her job and how she always thinks of others over herself. Will, her boss, is amazing, yet, really cocky! There's times I couldn't stand his attitude and his God complex, but somehow, it works in this book and for his character. I'm never mad at his character for too long!

I recommend this book to everyone! This series does have to be read in order.

My favorite parts:

"Because with a girl like Ella, I could get carried away if I wasn't careful."

"She looked far too innocent to be disturbed, and seeing her hair strewn across my pillows was the happiest sight I'd woken up to in years."

This series and yes I said SERIES had me at book one....each book is a cliff hanger so know there are 5 books and yes all 5 are out now so you can read all of them at one time right now...LUCKY YOU. Okay this one takes up after book one of course. Ella has done Will proud and created an amazing Christmas party for the hotel. He makes his move on her and she runs out. Of course being in her place who would't. She has made some bad choices in the past and he is a big ole playboy. So this book we get to learn more about both Ella and Will and get to see more of each of their characters. I have to say i love the humor as well as the deepness in these books. Yep I actually waited to write my reviews until i read all of the books simply because i had to keep reading them.....

I received a free copy in exchange for a review.

Part two and not a stand alone book. Book one ended with Ella running out of the room, and leaving Will. Afraid by what she feels for him, and feeling like she is way out of her league, Ella becomes torn between what she needs and what she wants. I like the staggering of chapters, one Will, then one Ella because we get insight into how they both feel and how they are coping. Will is also changing from irritated to determined. There's not much standing in between what he wants and Ella besides her thoughts. I would read more from this author, and overall entertainment is four stars.

It followed on straight from where the first book stopped. Good story, and good characters. The sex scenes are more involved than your normal romance but are not as much as Sylvia day, EL James and the likes so if you want something more racy than your norm but nothing to explicit then these are the books for you.

Mr. Abbot will see you now.

This series is slowly getting my attention. So many authors have subjected themselves to sad attempts at 50 Shades knock offs. Hazel is in a world all her own. I cannot wait to see where Will and Ella end up. Off I go to book three!!

So Ella finally gave into will and slept with him. She claims it's the best she ever had. But what is it to them? Just benefits or will it turn into more?! Hmmm can't wait to find out.
