Sweet N Sassy Book A Holics Rating: 3.6

~~~~~~~~~~Dee's 5 Star Review~~~~~~~~~~
There is so much sexual frustration in this story that it affects the reader. Written in Katie's POV, it is a lovely story of girl pining to meet "the One" and of boy meets girl and they fall into happiness. The only "fly in the ointment", so to speak, is that Katie wants sex and Ben wants to be traditional and wait for the wedding night. The struggles go back and forth constantly. By the end of the book, Katie begins to over think the issue and the reader becomes determined to reach for book two to see how this all plays out. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. Five Stars.
~~~~~~~~~~Sharlene's 3 Star Review~~~~~~~~~~

Katie and Ben discover each other in the mall and on the beaches of southern Cali. Exploring living on there own for the first time and starting to earn a living, they grow together as a young couple. Although I found Katie a little annoying when she thought that every guy she ran into was going to be her Prince Charming, she eventually grew on me. I loved all the characters in the story and how the author introduces them all without it being overwhelming to the reader. The story was entertaining although I found it drawn out a little.

If you enjoy a sweet YA story, this story fits the bill. This story has an HEA and can be read as a stand alone. However, it seems to me there will be to this couple in the next book.

I received an ARC for my honest review.

I have to agree 3 stars. I guess I just didn't get why two girls dreamed of working in clothing stores. Yes they are going to college but they acted like it was a lifetime dream to work there. I think that threw me off at first, but I did continue to read. Which I am glad I did b/c it was a cute love story between Katie and Brian while they find themselves as adults. Its could have shorter and still got the point across.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review for Stephanie's Book Reviews.

I absolutely loved this book. I loved following Katie through life following her dreams and making them come true.

Katie is a girl adventuring out into the world. Finding a job , a place to live I'm Malibu on the beach with her best friend Sami, starting college, and searching for her someone to fall madly in love and spend forever with. Katie meets Ben at the mall and the sparks fly right from the start and we as the reader get to follow right along.

I loved Katie's journey. I love that this book has the reversal of Katie wanting Ben to begin the sexual side of their lives and Ben wanting to do the traditional thing of waiting until he is married. Can Katie talk Ben into fulfilling her desires and what kind of strain will this put on the relationship. They are both such strong character and it's a great debut novel from W.J. Carlson. I loved it and could not wait to dive into the next book.

I was gifted this book for an honest review. I would consider this book as a YA novel. A sweet story about Katie and her dreams of building a life of happiness. We are taken on a journey with her; finding work, starting school, and searching for Mr. Right. We watch her try new things, deal with failure, rejoice with success, and possibly find her Mr. Right.
I wouldn't consider the ending as a cliffhanger, but it definitely leaves you wondering what is in store for Katie next. I'm curious to see where life takes her in the next book.

I received this book as a gift from the author. I have to say that this is a very interesting type of love story. the struggle is real in this story, something that all young adults should try to achieve in today's society. but can they actually do it? I think after reading this, I am frustrated (in a good way). I cannot wait to read the next book to see what happens next.
