Another tight and thrilling adventure for nobleman Waxillian Ladrian as he fights for justice in a fantastical city crossed by canal and railway tracks. A city undergoing an industrial revolution but a city where the magic of metals still burns bright.

It was estimated to be released in Fall 2019, although due to the Skyward series, it is more likely to be released sometime

After Rothfuss I swore off reading a series until it was finished and I made the mistake of thinking this was a 3 book series to follow the first set of 3.(less)

I would like to time travel to 2018 so I can read this book, thanks. Hopefully Donald Drumpf is not president.

Edit: Fuck, I jinxed it.

Edit #2: It’s not even coming out in 2018 anymore 😭

Edit #3: It is now 2019, and there is no new release date. He did say in his State of the Sanderson of 2018 that he was going to try to get back to this so hopefully he’s kept his promise.

*Side note: I can’t believe this is my most popular review on Goodreads. It’s just me cracking jokes and laughing at the state

After everything...EVERYTHING, we went through with Bands and HIM coming back and Secret History all about HIM! The fact we have to wait until 2018 for this book is like getting shanked in prison.

You know why it happened and you kind of deserve it but still bro...ouch

But at least we have Oathbringer in the meantime.

I have unanswered questions about the Mistborn series.
This is the fourth and final book in the second Mistborn Era, coming in 2018 and likely to answer some of those questions.

I can wait.

Brandon Sanderson, I <3 you even though your speed demon antics and literary wizardry have trained your loyal subjects into thinking 2 years is too long. I can't help it, 2018 is too far away! ;___;

This keeps getting pushed back...

Mistborn is my favorites series. Why does Sanderson keep leaving us begging for the next book? It's not fair. I've read Skyward, but I'd rather read this book any day.

I cannot wait to read this book! When the original trilogy ended, many questions were answered, yet so many were not. I fell in love with the world and the characters Sanderson made, and a part of me died when the books concluded. Now with the 2nd era, Sanderson managed to draw me in so deep, that I know that when this series comes to an end, even if it answers ALL questions... another part of me will die :(
First book of the 2nd Era of Mistborn had me reading with my defenses up. How could he t

Brandon Sanderson has the extremely rare ability to write compelling narrative in multiple different book series agh the same time. My personal favorite of his is the Mistborn series: The Final Empire, The Well of Ascension, and the Hero of Ages. You should be forewarned however that he can go all George R.R. Martin all over our favorite characters.
The second sequence in the Mistborn series includes: The Alloy of Law, Shadows of Self, The Bands of Mourning.
I fully intend to read everything Mr. S

2018 is a long time to wait for such a good series, but I will happily do so. There's so many more of Brandon's books to keep me occupied in the mean time, and at the end of the day I know how tirelessly he is writing and releasing books. Truly an author that does it all for his fans.

An interesting perspective viewing the end of the first Mistborn trilogy. A bit slow in places, but still intriguing.
