Reading this series is like watching someone pop a huge zit. It's so disgusting, yet I can't look away. I just have to keep watching and see how much more grossness is going to come out.
This just has to be one of the cuuuuuuuuutest volumes in this series! I loved Akane and Subaru together, especially after finishing the series. They are both trying to figure this whole relationship thing out and I just love how even after they mess up they can go back to one another and express their thoughts and feelings in a healthy, mature manner. THEY ARE SO FIT FOR EACH OTHER! Even if she's a "popular girl" and he's a "dork". I wish we got even MORE of them together!!! This series came out in the early 2000's so I doubt this will ever happen, but I want an entire spin off series of these two!!!!
Subaru is such a cutie. Eventhou he’s a nerd and doesn’t have any experience in relationship, he’s still tried his best in his nerd way. More story on the developing relay between Akane and Subaru in this volume.
The devils really tells no lie which in case is Ryoki. Lmao. Now that he know his dad that have an affair with Azusa’s mom, he kept quiet about it why? Because that’s none of his business lmao. Plus he doesn’t want that stuff to get in the way on his relay with Hatsumi. Plus Mrs. Tachibana is really getting on my nerve with her meddling with his son’s affair. Ergh I hate her.
Shinogu flashback when they are little really sadden me. He knows warmth when little Hatsumi gave him her siblings love. That elevator kiss thou…
OK, the only reason this book gets two stars instead of one is because I liked the little Akane / Subaru side story. It's cute and sweet and silly and was a welcome relief to the rest of this.
Really, Hatsumi should end up with her brother. And I know that's weird to say, but hey, it's not like they're actually blood-related. And unlike Ryoki, Shinogu is not an asshole and unlike Azusa, he is not a fucking sociopath. Low standards, but that be our heroine Hatsumi's love life.
Shinogu... just... just... it's always Shinogu! Ryoki is a bastard, and I'm sorry, I DON'T feel sorry for him because he had a rough, lonely childhood. That doesn't give him a right to be an abusive, controlling prick. Azusa... he's a butt, and while he's "turning it around" he still hasn't apologized for what he did.
But Shinogu is perfect! In every way! I definitely understand Hatsumi's feelings on the manner... even if they are not blood related, it's still slightly weird. But, I love him, so I'm obviously Team Shinogu.
This damn series is like a soap opera. I get so sucked into it!
Ryoki doesn't come from an affectionate family, that was clear from the early pages. He's lived a life that I'm tempted to say has been devoid of any care. This has made him completely determined to cherish his relationship with Hatsumi over his family. It's self-destructive, but he can't see that. For a time it doesn't matter because Hatsumi and Ryoki are finally in a place where they love each other.
Subaru is very sweet with Akane - I love seeing their relationship grow. Though why Akane wants her relationship to be like her sisters I have no idea! The drama is definitely revving up, so I suppose the final 3 volumes should be pretty explosive!
I dislike the whole "adopted kid in love with sibling but it's ok because it's not like they're really realted" thing. I do like the series but it's super messed up. It's just fun to read thought I have no idea why except it just is.
