Having waited patiently for a year for the third book in Robbie Terman’s A Perfect Recipe Series, I was so happy to finally get to read Jenna and Luke’s story. You were given a little tease of the potential fireworks that could go off between them in Some Like It Sinful and I couldn’t wait to see how this second-chance love story would play out for them in Some Like it Sizzling.

Another chance to dip into this series with a title that aptly fits what often occurs inside. Second chance for two that once knew each other long ago but now they have the opportunity to ignite that passion once again. Jenna hasn't had quite as easy as some may think and most of her decisions up until now have turned into nothing like she thought they would. Now having been duped and left at the alter seems to lead her right into the path of one who rescues her from the drama of it but tries to ...more

This reunited lovers romance is the story of Jenna and Luke. High school sweethearts, Jenna took a chance on a modeling career in Europe, leaving friends and family behind. When that didn't work out she eventually came home, found a rich husband to be and thought she knew where her life was going. When her fiancé ditches her and she ends up living with her father, looking for work, she reconnects with Luke. But will she be able to convince him that she no longer needs money to be happy?

It was obvious from the first book in this series that Jenna should not be with Hal. He seemed like a dude and she was so awesome. So when he leaves her at the altar in this book I cheered. She totally deserved better. Of course it also sucked that he took all her money and left her being watched by the FBI, but reuniting with her high school sweetheart was worth all the trouble she went through with Hal. Luke is sexy, sweet and although he has every right to be mad at Jenna, even after 15 years ...more

Wow this story was a very good read! This was a read that had everything from laughter to sadness to romance to passion. This was written beautifully and had excellent characters. The best part of this story was that not only did the main character shave their happily ever after but there was also another woman that found love.

Jenna Rawley and Luke Kearney were high school sweethearts but someone horrible happened to her and the night that Luke proposed she ran away the next d

I loved the first two books in author Robbie Terman’s A Perfect Recipe series and there were aspects of Some Like It Sizzling that I loved but overall this book had too much drama left over from high school to make me love it. I get these two had what could be considered a bad breakup, it is easy to see they still have chemistry together, and I understand that the trust they once had was broken but there was more than one occasion wher

Some Like It Sizzling was majorly disappointing. The first book is one of my all-time favorites, but this one just completely missed the mark for me. This time we're getting Jenna's story. She's just been jilted at the altar, and her fiance took all of the money, and is being investigated by the FBI. To say Jenna is down on her luck would be an understatement. With nothing to her name, aside from a small personal bank account, Jenna moves back in with her dad

Second chances at love are some of my favorite types of books to read. There's the connection and spark that's already there. There's usually something at least one of them is bitter about still that ended things to begin with. There's just so many possibilities for tension and romance and passion. While I lov

is the third book in the Perfect Recipe series by author Robbie Terman. I'm not sure if this is the final book in the series since this will have made all the stories of the three female characters introduced in the first book complete. This one is a bit different than the first two in that it's a second chance romance AND there's a side love story involving the ex-wife of the

Overall Some Like It Sizzling was an enjoyable read. I love second chance romances or love stories about old high school sweethearts finding each other again, so I thought this book would be something I would really enjoy. However, whilst I will say that it was a quick, easy read that was nice to relax and pass the time with, it did have its issues for me.

This is my first chance reading a book in the Perfect Recipe series. ‘Some Like it Sizzling” is book 3 and it is Jenna & Luke’s story.

Jenna left town after Luke proposed to her 15 years ago. There were reasons why she did , to which she never shared with Luke. When this story starts, she has been left at the alter by her fiancé who then ran off with most of, if not all of her money. Due to that, Jenna is forced to move ba

Some Like It Sizzling (A Perfect Recipe #3) by Robbie Terman, is a terrific novel. I read the first two books in the series and this one is a little less foodie, yet sizzling with a blast from the past for the two main characters. Each book centers around one of three very best friends who co-own a restaurant together, and ex-model turned restaurateur, Jenna Rawley, is in the hot seat. The prologue opens the book with an exciting scene that introduces the hero and heroine to the reader

It's really odd for me to give this book just 3 stars, but I have my reasons. For one, the secondary story of our hero's ex-wife stole the show LOL In my opinion, it stole a lot interest away from our H/, Luke and Jenna. Don't get me wrong, it WAS a great read and it turned into me adding two more books to my TBR!
So Jenna and Luke have a history from WAY back .... Jenna leaves to take a chance at modeling and when that failed and she returned to the States, she didn't come to Luke ... nope, she

Fifteen years have passed without Luke seeing Jenna or having an explanation why she just up and left him. Now when she's about to get married she runs into him and finds out she hasn't left him behind as she has hoped.
Sizzling is definitely a word a would use to describe the heat chemistry that has not faded between these two characters.

This book was good, and so close "great," had it not been for the fact that by the end of it I was more attached to the B story/romance of Olivia and Riley than Jenna and Luke, especially because I was literally counting DOWN the days until this book came out. In the previous book (Some Like It Sinful) Jenna and Luke's chemistry was evident, but with the mixing of the two plots (the subplot romance) it almost took away from it. Also Jenna was ridiculously frustrating at times. my heart goes out ...more

There are a lot of second chance books out there and it’s a type of book I really enjoy reading. During this book I was able to see both main characters Luke and Jenna grown and change, and that is something I love seeing. I also loved Luke! Well, I loved him until he turned into a jerk toward the end! I’m not really sure how I felt about Jenna, she was very frustrating and I just wanted her to explain why she left all those years ago. I had my suspicions and I ended being half correct!

I love the second chance at love themes, the wondering about what could have been. This story was very realistic to me without the easy and fast reconciliation. Very believable. I enjoyed the chemistry between Luke and Jenna. They both had their demons to face and get past and in the same instance they could not stay away from each other. I loved their denial, loved their friends who kept them in check. Although it was a happy ending, I would have liked a little more for them, a little more with ...more

Jenna takes off the day after graduation, and they day after her high school sweetheart proposes to her. Now she is back in her hometown and was left at the alter by her boyfriend. She turns to the one person she shouldn't. Especially when she has the true reason why she left town a complete secret.

Luke has never gotten over Jenna Rawley. Even through a marriage and a child. Jenna comes back into his live, but can he trust that Jenna won't get scared and run off again like she did to him years

This is the story of Luke, a divorced firefighter and Jenna, his high school love, who is about to marry another man. Luke and Jenna have a rich history, a lot of secrets, and many fun friends and family. At the beginning of the book, Jenna's life blows up and she is left penniless, unmarried, and living with her parents. She and Luke start to hook up and eventually work out trust issues. We also meet Olivia, Luke's ex, and she is treated to her own romance with a hot younger hockey player.

High school sweethearts, Jenna and Luke were perfect. Luke proposed Jenna and the next morning Jenna was gone. Fast forward fifteen years and Jenna returns home. Luke is now divorced and is a fireman. There is a sizzling attraction between these two but is it enough.

I really enjoyed the chemistry between these two. An easy flowing read that you do not want to put down. This is part of a series, which I have not read the two previous book but was easy to follow. This is a new author for me, and

After her wedding day turns into a disaster Jenna ends up planning a high school reunion event with her ex from ages ago. Turns out that Luke still had feelings for her after all this time even though she left him broken hearted before. Spending so much time together brings back those feelings for both of them, but there are still secrets buried that need to see the light if any future is possible. I really do love second chance love stories and I enjoyed theirs.

Loved! This! Book! It's a great second chance story. It's also the third in a series but I have not read the first two (YET) and had no problem following the story so it's easily a stand alone. I really enjoyed the writing style of this author and the pace of the story. I am so glad to have discovered this author and as soon as I finished the last page of this book I was one clicking all her other available titles. I highly recommend this one!

I loved this book! The characters are very interesting and the story is well written. There are some surprising occurrences that helped add to the suspense. This is the third book in the series. I haven't read the others yet, but this book works very well as a stand alone and is easy to follow. I couldn't stop reading until I finished it! Excellent pace.

Robbie Terman began her journey as a writer in third grade, when she completed her first (24-page) "novel." Many years later, she is published in contemporary romance. Her heroines are feisty, her heroes Hot (yup, that's with a capital H!). And, when you read her books, if you tear up a little and laugh a lot, that's just the reaction she was hoping for.
