I’ve lived my life exactly how I’ve wanted to, chasing fires. Until the best night of my life made me rethink the word responsibility. Suddenly, risking my life jumping out of planes into forest fires wasn’t worth the chance of not coming home. Especially when I have two little girls waiting on me.

So I retired.

Bought a house, learned how to change a diaper, and have been trying to change that life I thought I wanted into the one I have and desperately want to keep.

Being a father.

But danger also has a way of finding me, and I’m afraid it might cost me everything I’ve been trying to hold on to.

The club took me in with open arms. I’m training local firefighters at the academy and trying to date the love of my life, if she’d give me the time of day, because I won’t stop until she’s my wife.

I'm a retired 45-year-old Puerto Rican wife and mother of 3 plus 1 bonus daughter. Originally from NYC, now living a quiet life in the south suburbs of Chicago. I enjoy reading and writing romance and erotic fiction. I'm addicted to coffee, sci-fi, and all things Marvel and Harry Potter.

I was a teen mom with a whole world of statistics against me. Every time I was told I couldn't do something, I did it, took pictures, and smiled with my son on my hip for everyone who ever doubted me.

Now, after finding the love of my life in my thirties, we married in the great 2020 pandemic, which shall not be named. We have a house full of teenagers who don't need mommy anymore, and the hubs is a traveling ER nurse, SO I have found myself with a lot of downtime.

After years of having this story taking space in my head, I decided to share it with the world. Gotta say, this writing gig is HARD. But with some time and grace, I'll get it right.

Blaze and Mallory

This is another addition to the MorningStar MC series and I have to say that it was quick and sweet. Blaze and Mallory have always had a connection and as they grow older that connection brought them twin daughters. The one downside to their story is that there is a commitment issue…anyway Mallory does. I love the chemistry between them and how they always looked out for the other and I loved what great parents they were.

This is such an entertaining book! It’s Fast paced with excellent characters and great world building. I loved it. About the only part I didn’t like was that the twins were named Macy and Massey. Both are pretty names, but together? Seriously, might as well name them Thing One and Thing Two.
The relationship between the two main characters either defies tropes or is a mashup, I haven’t decided. Either way, it’s original. Blaze was a young boy when Mallory was born and he immediately thought of her as his to protect. We don’t see the intervening years here, but apparently at one point they were friends with bennies (while each was secretly in love with the other) and they had twin girls. Blaze is seriously injured, and re-evaluates his life. So it’s kind of a mashup of FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS, SECOND CHANCE, SECRET CRUSH, INSTALOVE, FRIENDS TO LOVERS, and GENDER-NEUTRAL MC. Also ADORABLE MOPPETS.
Cat’s Stats
MMC/FMC- Blaze and Mallory
Genre- MC Romance, Firefighter Romance
Heat- explicit and enthusiastic
Series? Y, and I wouldn’t recommend reading this book as a standalone.
Safety? Y. Other women try but are immediately shot down.
Triggers- violence, blood, fake attempted self-Unaliving, language.

He has always loved her. First as friends when they were children and then fell in love with her when they were old enough to understand that. They had one night together and made the most beautiful babies but since then he has been friend zoned. They are living together and co-parenting, until he has a close call at work and realizes that he wants his family up front and center fulltime and he is determined to claim them publicly once and for all. She has always loved him, but thought their girls were the only thing that would be between them until he flips the script and makes it clear that he is all in and ready to claim his family. This is part of an MC series and I recommend you read them in order because her brothers each have stories and they are in this book but it isn't necessary as each couple has their own story. You will get more of the MC family and understand the dynamics more if you do as this story has less of that than others. Great addition to the series.

Both Blaze and Mallory realize just how short life is, and that they cannot take what they have for granted. But once again Mallory is trying to keep her hand up and keep Blaze at arm's length. Blaze isn't going to rush her, but he will give her a little nudge in the right direction. Will the two be able to finally make the commitment that they both know is already there?

This is a really cute and quick addition to the series, I will tell you now, these are not standalones. This series flows from one story to the next with the assumption that you have read the previous and are caught up on all the drama. So, I do suggest reading in order. I give this quick trip into this world 5 stars.

A fairly quick read with very touching moments. Mallory and Blaze had a family together but had not committed to each other officially. No "I love you" was spoken so they were unsure of each other. Events had almost taken Blaze from Mallory and their twins. Danger came into their lives once again, and this time it was Mallory to suffer. I enjoyed the moment that Blaze realized what he needed to do, to claim Mallory, and love her out in the open. Mallory was afraid of losing him, but she had the fortitude to stay with him. They were wonderful parents which I loved. A great story.

I received a copy through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.

This is the 7th book in this great series, and this is Blaze and Mallory’s story.
This is a well written quick, easy to read, and action-packed story, with family, friendships, emotions, loyalty, danger, suspense, intrigue, tension, determination, challenges, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, sweet, and fun page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Blaze and Mallory have loved each other since they were kids. They now have kids together but are not together, together. Will they stop fighting their feelings for one another? Can they finally have a HEA?

The next generation of the Morningstar MC are just as entertaining to read about as their predecessors. I seriously can’t get enough and fly through these stories. They may be quick reads, but full of action, drama and laugh out loud moments. Can’t wait for the next book.

I absolutely adore this series.

This is a fairly quick read with plenty of touching moments. Mallory and Blaze’s story pulled me in. they share a family but struggle to truly open up to each other until danger strikes again.

I loved watching them grow together and realize what really mattered. They’re wonderful parents, and their love story was both emotional and satisfying.

Oliver has loved Mallory forever. They have twins, but Mallory let's the age gap and others keeping her heart just a little extra guarded.
When tragedy strikes will she admit her feelings. Is there love strong enough to handle the blaze when people keep them apart.

~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~
Blaze and Mallory have known each other all their lives and it has led to two precogcious little girls named Macy and Massey. Can they let go of their fears and embrace the future that they could have? This story had everything I loved; romance, laughter, family, love, drama and those loveable alpha men.
