Bourbon & Blizzards At Snow Ranch: The Meet Cute Series Book 3

Rate this book
Savannah Lane had one never go back to Aspen Falls . The Colorado mountain town held too many memories—chief among them Levi McAllister, the boy who promised her forever and then shattered her heart under the Christmas lights. But when her grandmother leaves her half of Snow Ranch, Savannah has no choice but to swap her New York City skyline for snow-capped mountains, stilettos sinking into the drifts, and one wiggly dachshund puppy named Pretzel who refuses to behave.

Levi never left. He stayed. He built Snow Ranch’s bourbon brand from scratch, pouring every ounce of himself into the family legacy. And now Savannah—the one who ran off without looking back—shows up holding half the ranch in her manicured hands. She’s back in town, back in his life, and back under his skin.

Then the blizzard hits.

Snowed in at the ranch with the bourbon warehouse in shambles, Savannah and Levi are forced to team up to keep the brand alive. Days blur into nights of bourbon tastings, barrel-room bickering, and stolen glances that feel far too dangerous.

She thinks he’s stubborn. He thinks she’s spoiled. Pretzel thinks they’re both ridiculous.

But in the middle of snowdrifts, small-town gossip, and sparks they can’t ignore, Savannah and Levi will have to decide if love deserves a second chance—or if the past is better left buried under the snow.

Tropes:
holiday romance
second chance romance
forced proximity
small town
city girl x cowboy
Dual POV

Bourbon & Blizzards at Snow Ranch is full of second chances, cookies, bourbon, snow storms, and dachshund dogs. Savannah and Levi were young lovers on the path to being engaged at Christmas. However, Savannah's father convinced Levi he wasn't good enough and Levi broke up with Savannah. Fast forward 10 years later, Levi and Savannah are thrown back into each other's paths when Savannah's grandmother's will splits the deed of Snow Ranch between the two. Will forced proximity lead to second chances between the couple who can't stop thinking of one another?

I liked the story of Bourbon & Blizzards. Anytime you give me a second chance and forced proximity trope, I'm here for it. Then you're throwing in bourbon, Colorado, and ranches? Sign me up. I really enjoyed the recipes found throughout the book, and I'll have to try my hand at some of them. I thought it was a fun idea that the ranch had an inn, and a bourbon distillery on site. Usually ranch stories are just that- cowboying, so this was a fun twist!

However, I found the first half to be repetitive. It was constantly how Levi left Savannah, over and over. Then the second half, I felt was a little long. This would have been a great holiday novella instead. After Levi tells Savannah the truth about their breakup, which was earlier than I expected, I felt the chemistry between the two was lackluster at best. Also, the dialogue editing could have been better. When you start a new "paragraph" or "line" of dialogue, usually the means the next person is talking but that wasn't the case here so I would get confused on who was talking sometimes.

My Review

If you’re looking for a winter romance that feels like being wrapped in a warm blanket while sipping something strong and delicious, Bourbon and Blizzards delivers exactly that. ❄️🥃✨This is the third book in the series, and it continues the charm, warmth, and swoon that the first two brought — honestly, it might be my favorite yet.

This book had me hooked from the first chapter — the chemistry, the banter, the tension simmering under every heated glance… it all built into such a satisfying, heart-warming romance. The snowstorm setting made everything feel extra intimate and magical, like the whole world faded away and left only them.

The characters? Loved. The plot? Adored. The vibes? Immaculate.
This read gave me all the winter-romance butterflies and more. From cozy cabin moments to those melt-your-insides scenes, it struck that perfect balance of sweet, sexy, and emotionally fulfilling. 💙🔥

By the time I finished, I had the biggest smile and that satisfied, book-hugging feeling. It’s the kind of story that lingers in the best way — cozy, a little steamy, and absolutely heart-melting.🥰🫶

This is the 3rd book in the author’s Meet Cute series however, it can be read as a standalone book. It is a low spice book and I liked all of the romantic tension that built up during the book. I enjoyed this cozy read and it was perfect right before the holidays!
🌲Synopsis:
Savannah recently returns to Snow Ranch, her grandmother’s property which consists of The Snow Ranch Inn, a bourbon distillery, and the cabin of Levi, who runs the distillery and handles the ranch activities. Savannah is stunned to learn that after her grandmother’s recent passing, she left the property jointly to Savannah and Levi.
One problem- Levi is Savannah’s ex-boyfriend from 10 years ago who almost asked her to marry him but ends up breaking up with her. Savannah hasn’t been back since.
They have to make the best of the situation and ensure that the winter season is a success so that the ranch can continue. They must get ready for the big Bourbon Christmas Festival by renovating the Inn and having the necessary bourbon and cookies needed for the festival.

Slow burn, second chance romance, forced proximity pretty much sums the entirety of this book. Add a little snow and bourbon and thats all of it.
Savannah and Levi were sweethearts growing up until her dad got in the way. Now shes back in Aspen Falls to stake her claim on Snow Ranch and navigate her conflicting, complicated feelings around Levi. Levi is motivated to prove his worth and earn a second chance with Savannah. Mix in the snow and Blizzards and its a hallmarks special. Cheesy and cutesy with a little dachshund companion. This is an easy quick read for the holiday season. A little dry for me but overall not a bad story and there are some recipes mixed in :)

This book is another cozy winter read. I read falling hard at pumpkin spice cabins for fall season and now for Christmas I have bourbon and blizzards at snow ranch.
I would love second chance romances. This book is perfect fit for some one like me who loves to read cozy , simple and fall in love with the characters. This book is more like a movie background
It all started by grand mother's will to rebuild and manage the Ranch. So they weren't not only rebuilding the ranch but reforming them selves to fall in love again. Such a cute one to read for this season.

The prologue drops us right into Colorado and back in time, setting the stage for Savannah and Levi’s messy past. Their history is not sunshine and roses. What her father did had me grinding my teeth. Those lies and heartbreak left a canyon between them, and Levi walked away convinced he would never be enough for her. It is emotional right from the start.

Savannah returns to Colorado after ten years in the city, and her sweet dog completely stole my heart. She has come back to claim her inheritance, but of course nothing about it is simple. She is a little polished and a little prissy, which makes her interactions back on the ranch even more fun to watch.

Levi is still on the ranch but with more responsibility and a sharper edge. He is still the same grumpy cowboy, and their banter is perfect. He carries a lot of regrets and more than a few secrets. I am very thankful we get his pov, because it keeps him from becoming the villain of his own story. Naturally the enemies vibe does not last long once forced proximity and a snowed-in scenario come into play. Levi has a commanding presence that almost pushes into morally grey territory, and I loved watching Savannah push back.

When the truth finally surfaces, everything shifts for Savannah. Her choices about the inn, the land, and Levi all take a new direction. And somehow she ends up with a new enemy while also figuring out what actually makes her happy. From high-powered city life to a wide open sky ranch, which would you choose?

Just when the stakes feel intense enough, the last twist hits hard. The recipes woven into the story are honestly what elevate this holiday romance. They are charming and cozy and completely fit the vibe. And that ending is swoony and just surprising enough to leave a smile.

Savannah may be bossy and Levi may be a total golden retriever underneath all that grump, but their dynamic worked so well for me. The second chance energy mixed with enemies to lovers, plus the forced proximity and snowed-in setting, made this a perfect winter escape. It is a slow burn with only kissing, but the verbal sparring and flirty tension made up for the lack of steam. It felt cozy, emotional, and wonderfully real.

I really enjoyed this one and loved how the romance and holiday magic wrapped together.

*Thank you to the author, Persis Lassiter for E-ARC, in exchange for an honest review*

I shouldn’t be surprised, considering that I have read all of Persis’s books and loved every single one of them. Once again, I was captivated not just by the story but by the characters. Persis has a way of creating characters that flow with the story, and you cannot help but fall in love with them. I didn’t want to reach the end because I didn’t want the story to come to an end. Even though it has been a few days since I finished the book, I still cannot get it out of my mind, and I am even telling my friends to check it out once it’s released. I loved the dialogue in this story, along with all the descriptions, which had me visualizing myself in Aspen Falls, along with Savannah and Levi. Persis has one of best dialogue and descriptions in her books.

Of course, I appreciated that the book included recipes. It put me in the mood for cooking and baking while reading this book. I plan to try out some of the recipes from the book in the future. Bourbon and Blizzards at Snow Ranch gave me a holiday Hallmark movie vibe, and I feel that this would be the perfect movie! If I hadn’t started this book right before Thanksgiving, I probably would have finished it in one day. I adored the story and the relationship between Levi and Savannah, for whom I was rooting from the beginning. I liked the humor between Savannah and Levi which at times had me laughing out loud.

I like spicy romance books, but I appreciated that this one wasn't. Once in a while, I love reading just a romance story, and Bourbon and Blizzards at Snow Ranch was the holiday romance that I was looking for. I'd like to continue talking about it, but I don't want to reveal too much, so you'll have to check it out for yourself! I'm eager for Persis's next book!

❄️🥃 ARC Review: Bourbon & Blizzard at Snow Ranch

by Persis Lassiter & Savannah Lane 🤍🐎

Bourbon & Blizzard at Snow Ranch is the kind of second-chance romance that wraps you up like a warm blanket during a snowstorm, and then sneaks in with all the feels. Persis Lassiter and Savannah Lane deliver a story packed with heartache, unresolved love, and irresistible forced proximity. ❄️🔥

Savannah swore she’d never return to Aspen Falls, a town full of memories she tried to bury especially the one named Levi McAllister. But when she inherits half of Snow Ranch, she’s dragged from her New York City heels straight into snowdrifts, bourbon barrels, and one very misbehaving dachshund named Pretzel (who absolutely steals scenes 🐶💙).

Levi never left. He stayed, built the bourbon brand, and poured his soul into the ranch… and now the woman who broke his heart owns half of it. The tension between them crackles with every interaction sharp words, lingering looks, and emotions neither is ready to face. 🥃💔

Then comes the blizzard. Snowed in. The bourbon warehouse in chaos. Forced teamwork. Long nights. Short tempers. And sparks that refuse to stay buried. The authors perfectly balance small-town charm, emotional angst, and sizzling chemistry, making every page feel intimate and intense. ❄️🔥

This story is about forgiveness, choosing love again, and deciding whether the past deserves another chance or should stay frozen forever. Persis Lassiter and Savannah Lane created a winter romance that feels cozy, emotional, and deeply satisfying. 🤍🏔️

2.5⭐ A snowed in second chance romance in a small town seems like the perfect recipe for a Christmas read. I jumped on Bourbon and Blizzards for the vibes and to enjoy a love story in this season.

Unfortunately, this was not the Christmas read I so wanted it to be. The characters were fine and had some chemistry that was kindled when they were thrust together at the inn. I loved the meddling grandma's will creating the perfect set-up for forced proximity. There were some cute moments and some great reflections and growth like Savannah realizing who she was and what she wanted from her life.

However, there seemed to be so much urgency on Savannah's part that kept alluding to "saving the inn" or the distillery, but I couldn't find anything in the plot to show why that would be the case. Yes, she'd want the profitability to continue and might want eyes on her property. However, without a crisis, I don't buy that she needed to be in Colorado for the month she'd originally planned as her grandma and Levi seemed to be running things fine.

Basically, I felt like the author tried to let tropes carry a story by themselves, which made it feel choppy with an underdeveloped plot that didn't work for me. I was distracted by jumpy transitions between chapters at times (like when all of a sudden Savannah was looking at the distillery building). The first snowed in condition was basic, though at least the second moved the slow burn along. Overall, I wouldn't read it again, but I'd still be curious about other works by the author.

💭My thoughts 💭

Thank you Persis for rhe arc! I had an amazing time reading this. This one is my favorite book from the meet cute series. Everything flowed perfectly. The story and the dialogue were really good. You can see how Persis grew in her writing which I love because she’s just getting started.
I appreciated the yearning in this book between Savannah and Levi. Even though they were together 10 years ago and had broken up, they had to start over a bit. You can see how they both are feeling towards each other. I also liked how in this book there wasn’t really any spice. I don’t think every book needs it, some books are okay here and there but this book was perfect just the emotions. More of the connection between them is why pulled me in. I loved both characters and pretzel. Pretzel is just the cutest. I always enjoy when Persis incorporates a cute pet in her books. Also throughout the book there’s recipes to why they’re baking! Genius!! Really makes you get into the mood for baking. This is her second book with recipes in them and I for one enjoy them !
Overall I thought their story was beautiful, and loved the second chance romance for them.

Who should read this ?
If you’ve read Persis other two books then you’ll really enjoy this one. If you’re into second chance, Christmas vibes, forced proximity, the yearning check it out. It’s also a very cute cozy read which you can easily read in one sitting.

Would I recommend?
Yes!

i loved savannah and levi so much!!! they were just so perfect for one another and to see them come back together after their past when she had to return to aspen falls when her grandmother left her half the ranch.

i love a good meddling grandmother even after she passed, she knew they belonged together and made sure to bring them back so they could have a second chance.

normally i love when a book has a good amount of spice in it but i am actually really happy that there wasnt any in this. it really focuses more on the story and them finding their way back to each other and it just really worked. it wraps up beautifully but it did still leave me wanting more, more so because i didnt want to say goodbye to the characters though

if you are looking for a quick and sweet holiday romance, then this is definitely the book for you!

No spice

What a sweet cosy Christmas read. A story straight out of a hallmark Christmas movie, set in a Colorado small town we follow the story of Savannah and Levi who have to learn to navigate a new life on their ranch after a menacing grandmother interferes.

Savannah our FMC thought she was a city girl but finds herself falling back in love with the quiet small town. She arrives back in her home town of Colorado after 10 years in the city. Leaving all her belongings but bringing her new companion (miniature dachshund) who definitely stole the show, especially in his little jumpers. She believed this to be a temporary move. But finds a letter which changes everything.

Levi our MMC is a heartfelt cowboy who longs to do the best for everyone although he doesn’t seem to think much of himself. Levi thought he wasn’t enough for savannah as he was ‘just a ranch hand’ causing him to break both their hearts. After savannah came back he made it his goal to prove to her he was everything she needed. Telling her the truth from 10 years ago was the hardest but best decision he made and after finding the letter everything changed.

I devoured this fast paced, hallmark worthy Christmas fueled book. It had all the magic of the season with some forced proximity, and second chance romance. Persis nailed it again with this one, and has definitely gained a reader for life. It helped that the entire time I read this I pictured Levi as Ian Somerhalder in a cowboy hat 🥵

Savannah Lane had one rule: never go back to Aspen Falls.

I loved this book! I have been so busy the last few days and was not able to finish it in a day like I would have hoped, but I could have if I had the opportunity. This book was so well written, which isn't surprising coming from Persis. All of her books are this way! I loved this book, and I am hoping we will see more of Savannah and Levi!

You are going to love Savannah and Levi, and watching them come back together after 10 years when they both inherit half of her grandmother’s ranch. I love a meddling grandma, and this book delivers, even if she is meddling from beyond the grave.

If you are looking for a book with spice, you will not find it in the typical sense, but the sexual tension and slow burn are enough! You are always wondering if this will be the moment something finally happens, which adds a nice little sexual suspense to the book that I really enjoyed. I actually think it could have taken away from the story and their finding their way back together. I love the way it was done!

I definitely did not want to say goodbye to this story or these characters! Again, I hope this is not the last we see of Savannah and Levi! 🤞

I received an ARC of Bourbon & Blizzards and am leaving my honest review.

The story begins with Levi approaching Savannah's dad about asking her to marry him. Her dad makes him feel horrible about how little he can give her and Levi ends up breaking her heart. She leaves for Manhattan and they don't see each other for ten years. Savannah has tried very hard to immerse herself in her job and forget about Levi. On the other hand, Levi has worked hard to grow in his business and befriend Savannah's grandmother. This is what brings them back together again.

This was a cute story. I loved the ways that Levi showed Savannah he hadn't forgotten her. I thought the inclusion of various recipes was a great idea as well. There were parts of the story that dragged a bit for me. It seemed like a whole lot of time was spent describing decorating the ranch and Christmas trees. Overall it was a sweet story. Thank you to Persis Lassiter for allowing me to be an ARC reader for the book.

**ARC REVIEW**

Bourbon & Blizzards at Snow Ranch by Persis Lassiter is book three in The Meet Cute Series, and it was an absolutely beautiful, cozy read.

Levi and Savannah had me rooting for them from the very beginning. Watching them reconnect after ten years apart was heartfelt, emotional, and full of that second-chance magic I adore. Their banter was sharp, fun, and genuinely made me laugh.

I also loved how—even from beyond the grave—Savannah’s grandmother was still meddling in the best possible ways. And Pretzel the dachshund? He completely stole the show. Adorable, chaotic, and the perfect little scene-stealer.

The included recipes were such a sweet bonus! I enjoyed them and will definitely be using them.

This story was the perfect blend of warmth, romance, humor, and small-town charm. A fantastic addition to the series and a new favorite for me.

Thank you to Persis Lassiter for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely adored this cozy, second-chance romance from Persis Lassiter. Bourbon and Blizzards at Snow Ranch drew me in from page one.

Savannah returns to Aspen Falls determined to avoid her past, but inheriting half of Snow Ranch from her grandmother puts her right back in Levi McAllister’s path. He stayed, built the ranch’s bourbon brand from scratch, and never forgot the girl whose heart he broke.

When a blizzard forces them together, the sparks fly, the tension spikes, and every unresolved emotion suddenly feels impossible to ignore.

Persis Lassiter’s writing is so easy to read, rich descriptions that pull you right into the scene, lovely emotional themes, and moments of humor that land perfectly. It’s the kind of storytelling that feels effortless in the best way.

Grab a hot beverage, a comfy blanket, and sink into this cozy small-town wintery romance, you’ll devour every chapter.

a second love romance with two people breaking up but finding their way through a will ten years later that leads to them trying to find a common ground keeping the ranch and inn going.

i give this book 3 out of 5 stars because the language was at times confusing and caused a disruption in my reading, i found the text being pragmatic and didn't communicate the feeling of the situation. i also did not get a clear understanding of the characters, and if they had reconciled with the past or not. i did however enjoy the teasing bits between the two main characters and the overall story about heart broken characters being forced together during a Blizzard and have to confront their feelings. and the cute little doggie, would have liked more of that cutie. and i loved the dual point of view and the receipes!

i can recommend this book to those who enjoy second chance forced proximity and a clean romance.

✨️Bourbon and Blizzards at Snow Ranch✨️

Well it throws you into the heartbreak from the start darn dad's thinking they know best!

10 Years later savanah is back after having her heart broken by Levi of course he thought he was doing what was best for her but when do they learn! And now her Gran, who doesn't like a cheeky gran who is up to mischeif even beyond the grave. Levi was her ranch hand and bourbon distiller when she was alive and she left him half of the ranch along with her granddaughter Savanah.

I love a meddling gran especially one that knows the real reasons levi broke it off.

This is such a Christmas spirit hallmark type book, easy read, feel good with a southern bell best friend and the cutest daushaund Pretzel 🫶🎄

Also has the bonus for a few Christmas recipes through out which I can't wait to try! 🍪

Thank you so much for letting me read this Arc ❤️

✨ ARC Review✨ Such a cute Christmas romance of forced proximity and second chances. I was a little confused with the timeline because I could of sworn it jumped timelines from 10 years then referenced 1 year ago but of course I couldn’t remember what chapter I caught it in since jt was just before going to bed. Aside from that there was also their talk about how he last left her at the tree lighting when he was supposed to propose which was different from what Savannah claims in chapter 37 10 years later. I mean it could be the makings of a story itself where details reveal themselves the more you read into it but for me it was confusing. Regardless it’s still such a cute Christmas romance and hallmark worthy❤️

I absolutely smashed through this festive romance; it delivered all the cozy Hallmark vibes I crave this time of year (I live in Australia, no white Christmas here!). This is my third Persis Lassiter book, and at this point I know I’m in safe hands every time. Her sharp, witty writing and effortlessly funny characters make her stories such a joy to read.

This one was the perfect reminder of why I adore a little forced proximity. Even as a clean, closed-door romance, the history, tension, and banter between Savannah and Levi more than made up for it. Plus, a snowed-in ranch, small-town chaos, and a mischievous dachshund? Perfection.
A quick, warm, thoroughly enjoyable festive read.

Thank you to Persis Lassiter for an eARC, all opinions are my own.

Another delightful read! My Christmas reading streak continues. Current status: 3 for 3 📖❄️

I also devoured this in one sitting— it’s that good. It was cute, cozy, full of depth and pure Christmas vibes 🎅🏻. The writing was great and the characters were so fun and easy to love. I appreciated that they got the “big reveal” out of the way early on. It kept the tension high without dragging anything out, and it was refreshing to watch the MCs start off honestly, with everything already on the table. Also, WTG Savannah, you’re a badass 💪🏻 and your dad sucks.

When Hallmark Christmas vibes meet Persis’ storytelling, you get this - a love story that feels like that warm hug feeling you get when you’re cuddled up with a blanket on a cold winter night.

Bourbon and Blizzards was everything you want in a holiday romance! It was sweet. It was heartwarming. It was filled with a second chance romance that gives you the sweetest kind of magic; a kind that only happens at Christmas…And I do also mean this literally, because that gingerbread recipe is calling my name!

If you like second chances, Christmas magic, and love that feels like coming home, Bourbon and Blizzards is definitely the book for you.

Bourbon & Blizzards is a fast-paced holiday romance with strong Hallmark Christmas vibes, blending a second chance love story with forced proximity. I really enjoyed the backstory between the main characters, the history between the FMC and MMC adds warmth and genuine weight to the plot.

However, I struggle to fully connect with Savannah, and there were moments when the timeline felt a bit confusing to follow though that may simply be a personal reading quirk. At times the story felt a little dry for me, but overall it’s not a bad read. It’s a solid, light holiday romance that some readers will definitely enjoy, even if it wasn’t a standout for me personally.

Besties… this book said “snowed in with a fine man” and I said immediately yes.

Persis Lassiter gives us cozy chaos, crackling chemistry, and a ranch that feels like a Hallmark movie if Hallmark actually let people flirt properly. The banter? The tension? The way the blizzard forces these two to confront their feelings AND their questionable life choices? I was fed.

It’s short, sweet, a little spicy, and warm enough to make you forget you can’t feel your toes. I devoured it like a Christmas cookie I said I wasn’t going to eat.

Verdict: A perfect winter romance snack. Add it to your TBR and thank me later.

Returning to Aspen Falls was the last thing Savannah ever planned, yet Snow Ranch and a shared inheritance with Levi pull her right back into the mountains she once ran from. Levi, steady and loyal, never stopped loving her, even if his goodbye looked like heartbreak. Snowstorms trap them together, bourbon becomes their language, cookies fill the air with warmth, and old sparks begin to glow again. I adored their banter, the tenderness Levi showed in quiet gestures, and Savannah’s strong sense of self as she rebuilt her life among snowdrifts and memories. A cozy second chance romance wrapped in whiskey, winter storms, and the soft healing of two people choosing love again.

Snowed in… sparks flying… and bourbon involved.

This book blends holiday charm with genuine character growth. Savannah and Levi aren’t perfect, she’s juggling burnout and heartbreak, while he’s tied to the ranch that defines him, but the forced proximity of the snowstorm gives them space to break down walls, and discover what really matters and where their hearts really lie..
Savannah and Levi’s chemistry grows naturally, and their second chance at love feels earned as they navigate old regrets, pride, and new hopes. The balance between emotional vulnerability and light playful banter makes their journey feel real and engaging.

When your grandmother passes and she leaves you 50% but leave the other 50% to the one who broke your heart. What will you do? Well you better do what grandma says or you won't have your half and will loose it all. A second chance to ment things, to fix what is broken, to make it better? This two had me wanting to read more and more about them. From start to finish this story was meant for it all, laughing, swooning, excited and so much more. Plus who doesn't love an adorable pet companion with the name Pretzel? Love it all ♥︎
