Some say I’m too soft and cuddly for a guy who wields bone saws and strings friendship necklaces with human eyeballs—but I just call that work-life balance.

And honestly, I love my job as the Costellos’ reaper.

Lately, though, my biggest problem isn’t the dismembered corpses, it’s something far more seductive. Georgiy Sokolov. He smells mouth-watering, like disinfectant and fancy aftershave. Plus, he comes with a stern promise to ruin me with surgical precision—and believe me, I will be begging him for it.

If only I could get him to return my texts…

But when a shadowy evil threatens my found family, and my nightmares stir up repressed memories that somehow feel connected, Georgiy and I will stop at nothing to protect what is ours.

Armed with my bloody handsaw and Georgiy’s dainty scalpel, we try to uncover the dark truths about the past that haunts me and the Death that stalks me. It’s all very romantic.

So if you've come to witness my final chapter…good luck, friend.

My name’s Bane. Say it while you still have your tongue.

This book was one of my most anticipated reads this year and I read it in one sitting 🙈

I was so eager to read more about Bane, our crazy menace, since the first time he was mentioned. His character was so hilarious and interesting, and I loved to read from his POV and see how his mind works 🤭

Georgiy is his perfect match. Sure, he is way more controlled with his emotions, but that just added to their explosive and slightly insane dynamic 💥

I really ate this story up like crazy, Bane really is the absolute best 🤣

This book contains some triggers, so please check the tw-list before reading.

I need more from this amazing series 😍

BANE HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! And he is absolutely as unhinged as you’d expect 😍🔪
Bane and Georgiy have a complicated relationship. It’s obsessive and explosive, yet Georgiy isn’t willing to give it all up for Bane the way Bane is ready to do for him. These two figure out their relationship in the strangest of ways, while also navigating the issue of a dark rival and confronting Bane’s past.

This book has:
-found family (you’ve gotta read the other books first)
-dark humour and gruesome violence
-very k*nky relationship and lots of spicy
-Bane likes pain 👀
-touch starved / touch averse MCs

This book was a wild ride. It’s mostly from Bane’s point of view. And Bane is CHAOTIC. I think the plot also reflected the chaotic mechanisms of Bane’s mind. In this book we also get more insight into Bane’s past. Loved that!

Cora Rose’s characters and found family are so WILD, but undoubtedly fun. The way they all act just doesn’t line up with what you’d expect normal people to do, and that makes it so much fun. I had one or two moments that made me chuckle 😁

I gotta say, as always, I love Anthony in this book ❤️ he’s so my favourite character, and I love how he is with Bane.

I was so glad to finally have this one! Definitely pick it up when you can! (But read the rest of the series first!)

OMG my sweet, sweet baby Bane. He's been my favorite since we met him and he was everything I thought and more. I laughed, I cried, I raged. He's so perfect and deserves all the love in the world. He's so much more complex than he's let on. His life wasn't easy, and the way he is now is a result of his past. He comes off as a beautiful, free spirit. One who sees the truth that others miss. He cares about his family so deeply, and will do anything for them. But underneath the exterior he shows the world, is a scared boy who only wants to be loved and understood. He gets that with Georgiy. Georgiy fights his feelings for the fear of what he'd do, but he is exactly what Bane needs. Together, they give each other the bits and pieces they were too afraid to show to others, and bring out the sides they thought they'd lost, or no longer possessed. There is a deep sense of care from Georgiy toward Bane. The way he handles Bane, it's clear that he's obsessed with him the same way Bane is of Georgiy. They have a dynamic that seems wild and shouldn't make sense, but they do. Georgiy knows who Bane is as a person, and accepts him completely. Bane is so consumed by Georgiy, but his love and obsession don't change, or diminish, who he is. He still wants things, and voices them, but knows who he's meant for. Gosh, I could go on and on, but I'm going to stop here and leave with: Go read it. Fall in love with them like I did. They're perfect.

This was so good!! It was hilarious, heartwarming and heartbreaking all at the same time! Bane was such a sweet murdery menace with big feelings for those he loves and Georgiy was the calm Bane needed. Bane had a childhood no one should have to endure and Georgiy had his own horrific experience but they both refused to let these things define them and keep them from becoming the men the wanted to become. Both of these men had every reason not to trust, open up and let the other in but they found safety and comfort in one another and it was sweet to see. They not only made space for one another but they bonded with others and built a great family. The spicy moments were inventive and kept me intrigued on what they would come up with next and I loved how supportive and caring everyone was. I really enjoyed this book!

Bane baby finally got his book 🥹🥹 and honestly? I’ve never been prouder of a fictional unhinged menace.

Like everyone else, I’ve been waiting for his story since book one. Everything we’d seen of him promised something absolutely feral, and wow… it delivered. This book is completely unhinged, wildly unrealistic, full of creative unaliving left and right... and I drank up every single drop (yes, pun fully intended).

Bane finally finds his man. His Reaper. His mate. His hard-earned HEA. And I could not be happier for him, he deserves every scrap of love he gets.

Do yourself a favor and read the rest of the series first to get the full "Bane Experience™". Trust me, it hits harder that way. 🫶🏻

PS: I almost forgot to mention Georgiy! He’s… fine, I guess 😅
Kidding. He’s absolutely perfect for Bane.

I have been waiting for this book since book 1 and I am SO HAPPY this showed up in my inbox! ❤️

Bane is an absolute menace and I LOVE HIM SO MUCH! It was literally insta-love from me from day dot and that love has only gotten bigger now that I have read his book.

I would say I would love to live inside his head but he is just so unapologetically free its adorable!
I spent 90% of the time reading his POV's with a huge smile on my face because - if you didn't notice - I am little obsessed with him.
Probably as much as he is with Georgiy and Georgiy with him.

The obsession they both have for each other is on another level, you thought the previous books obsession was huge...wait until you read this!
It was everything I wanted from Bane's story and then some!

Georgiy and Bane are PERFECT for each other! The way Georgiy just gets Bane is amazing and the way he knows what Bane needs to heal or to feel or to just not think its honestly beautiful. Georgiy is somewhat unhinged in his methods but its Bane and we all know Bane's way of coping with things is different and Georgiy will always give Bane what he needs - even allowing Bane to touch him which he HATES but does it because its for his Bane 😫❤️
Their relationship growth is stunning to read, Bane barrelled his way into Georgiy's life and although Georgiy was a little cold to begin with, he soon becomes obsessed with Bane - like we all do! And to see their relationship grow and the character development from both of them is just 🤌🏼

The follow on from the other books with the drama with Henry is everything i wanted, and the outcome was brilliantly executed. The plot twists and the backstory of Bane was written to perfection - i mean its Cora....of course its going to be perfect!

I love the new characters we see and I really hope Jax and Kit get a book because I am like Bane when it comes to those two - frothing at the mouth!

I couldn't put this book down and it will most definitely be one that I re-read more than once. The wait was most definitely worth it!

I have been waiting for this book since His Prince and it didn’t disappoint!!!

I LOVE BANE WITH MY HEART AND SOUL! He can do no wrong and anyone who is mean to him will have to go through me and the whole Costello family oh and his Reaper Georgiy of course!

I seriously knew this book was going to make me laugh and break my heart at the same time! These two broken men finding what they need in each other, gosh I swear I don’t know how Cora does it the feels I felt were so good. I ached for Bane such a sensitive soul with so many broken parts, he just needed someone to show him that he is truly perfect the way he is and show him all the affection he absolutely needs.

I was not ready for how much Georgiy story would affect me a man not wanting any touch falling for a man that needs it! Watching him fight himself broke my heart. While he definitely needed a kick in the butt early on i understood him and the struggle he was going through!

These two together will be one of my absolute favorite couples ever, they are so perfect together. Watching Georgiy be so possessive over Bane and Bane riling him up all the time was literally my most favorite parts.

Of course the spice was amazing! And this family I swear they treat Bane with so much care and love I was bawling over it! Bane is the heart and soul of that family.

I’ll miss them until next time!

His Reaper

Bane & Georgiy

Dark romcom
Touch starved
Voyeurism
High Heat
Taboo Found Family
Ropes, cages, O Control

Oh, my sweet Bane.

I could not wait for his story. We have seen so much of him, I had always wondered about him.

I was not prepared. While this story is funny as we have come to expect from a dark romcom by Cora Rose. It is also emotional. Bane has been through serious trauma. Oh my heart, I just wanted to hug him.

The found family in this was everything. He has everything supporting him, I loved how Anthony stepped up and became almost a father figure and Agatha the Mother figure. He had so much love and support that rallied with him. I loved it.

Georgiy was incredible, His Reaper, his man who was willing to take apart the world for Bane.

This was everything I wanted for Bane and more.

Georgiy and Bane are so uniquely obsessive and possessive, but it truly suits them. They are perfect for each other. Unhinged and wild but sweet and tender in their own way.

This was wonderful.

My heart is full knowing Bane is happy

“You are a lucky man, umnyashka. To have so many who love you.”

So thankful for this arc

ARC REVIEW - SPOILER FREE

WOW!!! This blew me away! I had high expectations going as Bane is one of my most favorite characters (I'm sure everyone who has read this series so far agrees) and I couldn't wait to finally read his book!

Bane was as crazy as ever, and I am even more inlove with him know knowing his story and getting to know him
more. I did not expect to cry during this!? 😭 but here I was, with tears running down my face multiple times through out this book. Agh my heart, Bane is so perfect 🥺

I loved how different him and Geogiy were, and their obsession with each other!? PERFECT IN EVERY WAY. They were so sweet and unhinged, and this story was honestly amazing. Getting to see the dynamic with the Costellos was such a fun time, this whole series just gets better and better. Amazing writing from Cora yet again, always know how to suck me right in from page one. I zoomed through this Arc in one sitting.. now I'm sad that it's over!

From the start in The Silencer I couldn't wait for Bane's book. I just knew he'd be my favorite. Cora did not disappoint.

Our sweet unhinged Bane. He makes you laugh and hurts your heart. You just want to give him everything. A broken boy who pieces himself back together with the love and support of his found family. Even if he doesn't believe it.

Georgiy... Oh put together, uptight Georgiy. You have to love how despite fighting his own feelings about Bane he just can't seem to deny him anything for long.

Their story is my absolute favorite of the series. I loved how everything came full circle! And I'm absolutely feral for the tie in to another series by another of my favorite authors!! This book is just too good.

We all knew Bane’s book was going to be the absolute definition of chaos and this definitely lived up to that expectation. Bane’s love language is gifting body parts to people and that’s not even the tip of the iceberg.

I really love the dynamic between Bane and Georgiy. They could not be more different and their personalities balance each other perfectly: Georgiy grounds Bane and Bane forces Georgiy out of his comfort zone. The touch starved/touch averse dynamic between them was so interesting, I loved seeing Georgiy bring down his walls to give Bane what he needed.

The plot is absolutely action packed. We get a lot about Bane’s past in this, which really helps to understand why he is the way that he is. Bane and Georgiy OBSESSED with each other and will do anything (and that really means anything) to keep the other safe. There is a LOT of torture in this.

Yeah, that was great, I need a book for Jax and Kit now, please and thank you. Also, this cover is stunning and I can’t stop staring at it.

4.5. Ah, my beautifully broken, soft-hearted psycho. I’m so glad he got his happy ending. It’s just sad he had to go through more pain to get it. I don’t want to say too much, as having an advanced copy, I won’t give spoilers, but Bane and Gregoivy are two broken souls that were meant to find each other. They heal and love each other in such a unique way that it is perfect for them. I've loved Bane in every story he has been a part of, and I hope to continue to see such a memorable character in Cora’s future work.

Oh my goodness. This was sooo good.

Like as a reader, I knew that banes story would be heartbreaking, and emotional but it was humourous, loving, and so completely satisfying as an end to the series. But also bane being such a gossip and sh*t disturber really set up a few possible story lines for the body guards series.

I have to mention the use of POVs and chapters. I love how Cora Rose gave us mostly banes POV but then when we felt like we really needed Georgiys POV, bam there is was. I love when authors mix up the POVs so it's not a strict back and forth. There's just times when you'd rather not change POV as the scene changes.

It's hard to put my review into words. But let's start with the chaos that is Tatum 😂. It was extremely delightful to see Tatum and Angel up to their antics with Band. The banter is off the charts. I love how Anthony gets so annoyed but like he really shouldn't be surprised

“Do I even want to know?” Anthony asks lowly, and I hear Tatum choke back a laugh. “Don’t be annoyed. You put that note on our door. He had to find another place to burrow,” Tatum explains, and Anthony scoffs.

“I wore him out last night, and he’s come to the realization that he’s just an old man and can’t really keep up with my stamina. It’s put him in a mood.” “I kept up just fine. If anything, you were begging me to stop.” “I would never!” Tatum says, and I bob my head at that. “He’d never,” I agree around a mouthful.

I missed Tatum. Honestly think he's tied with Bane for my favorite.

I love how possessive Georgiy is but he gives Bane whiplash from his hot and cold.

"“Hey, you couldn’t have known,” he says, squeezing me gently. And that’s when I hear it. A throat clearing. A slight growl. Feral, unhinged. I push up slightly and gasp when I see Georgiy standing in the doorway, looking murderous.

“Why do you think he’s ghosted me? Hm?” I ask the man tied to the chair.

My heart sinks when I realize that despite the comfort he offered me, he still left me alone in the end.

I also love how Anthony accepts Bane exactly how he is. Like he doesn't make bane feel bad for the way he acts or talks, he encourages his hobbies but he also cares so deeply that he makes sure everything is safe.

“So, I can keep him?” I ask, and Anthony nods. “You can keep the cat.”

Kit and Jax and the running joke. Bane is such a meddler, I love that for him.

Jax straightens and clears his throat. “Yeah. All right. Uh, to help Bane… we can do that. You know, for him.” Kit nods, wetting his lips. “For him.”

I love when Bane stands up for himself to Georgiy because while we know what Georgiy is focused on, Bane doesn't. Georgiy knows when he messed up.

"But the way he turned his back on me in bed, how he didn’t wiggle closer and closer…"

Georgiy is also super precise, he never makes a mess and it makes sense given he was a surgeon. But Bane opens up a whole new world of thoughts and feelings.

"But with Bane, it seems the things that I’d assumed were correct may not be right after all. Perhaps I can survive a little mess."

And even though he is super possessive of Bane, he accepts banes need for physical affection from others. He understands Bane has needs that need to be met and that he can't always be there to do so.

“Do not touch him,” he growls. That makes my heart skip a beat. “You mean it?” “I do. You touch no one else but me.” “But hugs?” “Those don’t count.”

I feel like I could write a whole essay for this book but I'll end it here by saying that Cora Rose gave Bane and Georgiy the perfect ending. Their epilogue suited them perfectly and how they compromise to make each other happy 🫠🫠

And as always the book name IN the book. "Bane and his reaper—forever and ever."

This is the first book I have read from this author and I enjoyed it. I will say I feel like I missed key information, so it may be better to start from book one in the series. This read is heavily character driven and doesn't focus on plot much, very spicy, which is fun. Cora does a nice job of balancing the character dynamics with the drama and plot to keep a good pacing for the story. Bane and Georgiy are complete opposites who fit so well with each other, the Yin and Yang. Their dynamic was quite entertaining, especially since Bane isn't very good at listening and is a horny mess most times. Read this book if you want totally unhinged, dark and depraved men who are obsessed with each other, while one tries to fight his obsession. This book is dark, gory and very spicy with a side of humor and comfort, so please read the trigger warnings before you read.

Oh my goodness, I can’t even begin to explain how much I adored Bane’s story! From the moment he stepped onto the page, he completely stole my heart. He’s chaotic, unpredictable, and yet so fiercely loyal to the people he loves—it’s impossible not to fall for him. His past was heartbreaking, and you can see how it shaped him, but what makes him truly captivating is how he refuses to let it define him. Beneath that wild exterior is a vulnerable, tender soul, and the way he finds that safety and understanding in Georgiy is just beautiful.

Georgiy is exactly the anchor Bane needs. Calm where Bane is stormy, careful where Bane is reckless, and utterly devoted to him in ways that feel instinctive. The trust and obsession between them are intense, electric, and utterly consuming, but it never erases who they are individually—they complement each other perfectly while still holding on to their own identities. Watching them slowly open up, expose their fears, and give each other pieces of themselves they thought were lost is heart-melting.

The story is equal parts heartwarming, heartbreaking, and hilarious. I laughed, teared up, and grinned like an absolute fool at different points. The tension, the passion, the tenderness—it all hits just right. The supporting cast adds even more depth, and the family and community they build around themselves feels genuine and full of life. And the spicy moments? Clever, steamy, and totally in character, keeping me on the edge of my seat while still fitting seamlessly into the story.

Bane’s POV is addictive. He’s fearless, reckless, and unapologetically himself, and spending time inside his head is a joy—you can’t help but root for him every step of the way. Georgiy’s methods of handling him might be unconventional, but they’re exactly what Bane needs to heal, grow, and thrive. Their bond is thrilling, tender, and a little chaotic, but it’s absolutely perfect.

If you’ve loved this series before, this installment is everything you wanted and more. The backstory, the twists, the new characters—it all comes together beautifully. I’m already desperate for more stories about the supporting characters, because just like Bane, I want to see them get their happy endings too.

In short : this book is a perfect mix of chaos, heart, and obsession, and Bane and Georgiy’s story is one I’ll be thinking about for a long time. They are utterly, completely, ridiculously perfect together.

wow, bane’s book was as crazy as i was expecting. i enjoyed learning more about him and georgiy.

initially, i was worried about this book bc i didn’t like how georgiy treated bane (specifically ignoring and ghosting him). and while i still felt a little confused on why that happened and what made him snap to get him back, i found that i enjoyed georgiy as a character. he had a different background than i expected, with interesting connections to bane. however, he was the only one who could give bane what he truly needed. and he loved doing it.

it was also really nice to see how much everyone loves bane and how much he does for everyone else. for example, he’s such a great friend to teddy. and he uses his insight to manipulate situations to try to make others happy (while also giving him something enjoyable to watch).

there is a lot of potential for future books featuring characters in this one. i’m guessing it’s leading to the spin off that the author talked about that involves the bodyguards. my predictions for the couples in this: casey x ivan, teddy x jake, and jax x kit. i’m unsure of the order but i feel like it might take longer for casey and ivan to get together, so maybe they are last. i’m excited for this spinoff series if the author still plans to do it. (i’m also excited for “caleb” and “vigilant” to come out this year!)

as a neurodivergent person, i got the sense that georgiy and bane might be too. but i wasn’t sure if that was intentional or just a sign of their trauma. bane seemed to have many ADHD characteristics, including hyperfixations, sensory sensitivity, often getting distracted by something when trying to accomplish a task/goal, and special interests. georgiy had some autism characteristics, with his need for order/logic, insistence on sameness, black and white thinking, and a tiny bit of perfectionism still there from when he used to be the best surgeon. again, these traits could potentially be from their trauma and not a sign of neurodivergence… but it’s just a feeling i got throughout the book.

and for all the bane lovers out there who want him to have his own HEA, let me just say that the epilogues do not disappoint. i was asking myself “is this really happening??” and then i realized it was bane’s HEA, so of course it was.

this is my honest review as an ARC reader.

ARC REVIEW

Oh my sweet boy Bane. I have waited so long for his story. Psychopath, butcher, reaper, jewelry maker, friend, sex matchmaker, voyeur, kinky, cuddler. Everyone loves you.

Bane is simple at his core, he wants to hurt people while working for Anthony, make jewelry, watch his chosen family have sex, and be loved and accepted. By Georgiy. The Ivanov’s reaper. A match made in heaven.

What I loved about this book is learning so much about the character who is in each book of this series and has popped up in other series as well. He has an in depth backstory that manages to weave all 4 books of the series together in a way that makes sense without taking away from the individual books plots. He is at times a mode to move the plot forward and other times some comedic relief. Cora managed his personality and his tragic past beautifully and as realistically as this universe could be.

Georgiy seemed stoic and maybe a little repulsed in the other books but boy does he bloom in this one. He is highly touch adversed but is slowly brought out of that by Bane in a way only Bane could. It was beautiful to read Georgiy’s inner thoughts and watch slowly as his wall break and his gradual acceptance of what he has with Bane and his feeling for him.

The way the book started out had me kicking my feel and giggling, then I was sad, tears came near the end, then I was kicking and giggling again.

There is a new character that pops up but feels like they were written in specifically to connect one plot point to another, provide info. Not that that’s a bad thing, they just seem to stick out to me, an enjoyable surface level character that doesn’t have enough time to be fleshed out in this book. Maybe they will appear in a different book or series in the future. But they don’t take away from the story, and I don’t feel I need to lower my rating because of them.

I’m not sure if there will be more books in this series, but this book ended in a very satisfying way with loose ends tied up and my heart was happy.

HIS REAPER (Unexpectedly Twisted 4) di Cora Rose
RELEASE: 23.01.2026
VOTO:4.5 ⭐ 3🌶

RECENSIONE:
Raccomandato!
Grazie mille per la copia ARC!

ENGLISH REVIEW:
His Reaper is an amazing book, and Bane is so funny! I knew that his book would be sexy and funny and Cora Rose did an amazing job here! The plot is intense, I really loved to read how Bane and Georgij’s relationship grew up and I really loved to see how their past didn’t ruined forever both characters. The book was dark but at the same time funny, all the books in the series are a nice and easy read. I devoured the series in a few days and I love Cora’s writing style, is immersive and when I start reading I’m inside the story and I can feel the feelings of the characters. In this book I felt very sorry for Bane and I’m happy that he has a lot of people who loves him no matter what. Cora put a lot of funny characters and funny scenes that I loved a lot! Series recommended! Thank you so much for my ARC COPY!

MCs: Bane & Georgiy
Series: Book 4 (I read as a standalone)

I enjoyed this fourth installment in the series—even jumping in blind without having read the previous books (yet). While series readers will likely catch more nuance, this worked fine as a standalone.

Bane is a sweet, golden-retriever type… whose hobbies include making bone jewelry from his enemies’ skeletons. Yes, really. He and Georgiy are both vigilante enforcers, each specializing in different—and very brutal—forms of torture. On the surface, the story is unapologetically dark and macabre, but beneath that is a compelling opposites-attract romance.

At its core, this is a hurt/comfort, grumpy–cheerful love story set against a fast-paced, high-action crime/mystery plot that never drags. The emotional weight hits through Bane’s traumatic childhood, which adds depth and vulnerability to a character who could have easily stayed just unhinged but lovable.

The intimacy between Bane and Georgiy is intense and very much on brand for who they are:
expect non-con elements, blood play, orgasm denial, and multiple kinks. It’s explicit, deliberate, and character-driven rather than gratuitous.

Overall, this story was engaging, darkly entertaining, and extremely steamy, with moments that were genuinely emotional and moving. If you enjoy twisted romances where tenderness and brutality coexist—and you’re comfortable with heavy kink and violence—this one delivers.

Tropes & vibes:
- MM dark romance
- Opposites attract
- Grumpy x sunshine
- Hurt/comfort
- Touch him and die
- Found family
- Vigilantes / crime family
- High heat, high action

“Take what you want, Bane of my existence. You own me just as much as I own you.”

The book where Bane finally gets his man! And the book where we the reader learn why Bane is the way that he is. Now look I'm going to be honest, I have disliked Bane since the second he bounded onto the page. He's crass, messy, annoying, asks intrusive sexual questions, walks around masturbating anywhere and everywhere, and so much more. He irks me. I find his feral unhinged energy obnoxious af in every scene-stealing scene he's appeared in. With that said, as President of the 'I Don't Heart Bane' fan club, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed his story! I still don't like him, but I feel like I understand him better.
I’ve never met such a cuddly murderer. My aversion to touch is going to be a problem with the way he needs to be held and stroked.

As always, diabolical Cora Rose gave us one MC - Bane - who is touch-starved and another - Georgiy - who can't stand being touched. In a true case of opposites attract, messy, chaotic Bane falls for a germaphobe who likes things clean, precise and organized. Their relationship works they understand each other's brokenness. Bane's neediness balances Georgiy's possessiveness. Georgiy can't be too uptight and rigid when his overgrown toddler of a partner Bane is around.
I’ve never really been mentally stable. And he definitely isn’t. Sanity is overrated to begin with.

Request for more Kit and Jax! 😂😂
How did I manage to acquire this insane man?

It’s finally here, and I didn’t realize how much I needed more Bane and Georgiy in my life! This book is not a standalone, so I’d definitely recommend reading the other books in the series’ first.

Tropes:
 Found Family
 Dark RomCom
 K*nky/Pain
 Voyeurism
 High Heat
 Touch starved / Touch averse MCs

I’ve loved Bane from the moment I met him—he’s absolutely feral, unapologetically himself, and yet somehow completely lovable. In this book, we get a deeper look at his past, and wow… poor Bane had it rough. But he loves his found family fiercely, and they love him right back (shout out to Agatha!). I felt all the feelings while reading—laughing, crying, and even raging—but don’t worry, the bad guys get what they deserve!

The relationship between Bane and Georgiy is intense, messy, and unhinged. It’s obsessive, possessive, and complicated, yet somehow it works. They navigate Bane’s past and deal with a persistent rival while proving they’re perfect for each other—not perfect in the traditional sense, but perfect together. There’s no slow burn here; you jump straight into the chaos, and it’s exhilarating.

Georgiy’s approach may seem a little wild, but it’s exactly what Bane needs. He meets Bane wherever he is, no matter the personal cost, and gives him what he needs in the moment. Even enduring physical touch—something he truly dislikes—he does it willingly, simply to support Bane. That level of devotion is just beautiful.

If you love intense, emotional romance with chaotic characters, found family, and plenty of ups and downs, this book is a must-read.

Oh my goodness Bane of my Life…..what a swoon!!

This is a very dark romance so make sure you check the TWs before heading in! This is also Book 4 in the Unexpectedly Twisted Series and they ABSOLUTELY need to be read in order! You cannot just jump to this book and expect to know what's happening 🤣

🌶🌶🌶🌶

His Reaper was one of my most anticipated releases this year and Cora did NOT disappoint! I was stuck between wanting to read slow and savor it and then wanting to inhale the book so I could know everything! It was just perfection! Now spoiler free review coming here just giving you the bare bones 😉

We meet Bane through the books and we know he just showed up to the Costello's one day and well never left. He sorta attached to Georgiy the same way! Seen him, stuck to him and well didn't stop until he got his man 🤣
We learn that Bane's past is darker then we thought and it may be playing into what's been happening with the Costello's business. Georgiy has a past of his own that he is going to need to confront because Bane is going to need someone in his corner that he can count on and that's just as dark as he is if he is going to make it out the other side of this.
There are a TON of feels here I knew it was gonna hurt but man my poor bebe Bane went through it. We get lots of answers with this one too alot has been leading up to this so this book is just packed from beginning to end! Our guys do get their HEA after alot of tears and blood and bones 🤷🏻‍♀️ I know I said it but this was really perfect! I was not ready to let them go and I could not have asked for anything better!

His Reaper - Cora Rose
5/5✨🌟

* SPOILERS *

I didn’t know how much I needed this book until I read all about Bane and Georgiy. From the moment we met Bane in the other stories, he was the highlight of each and every book. This romcom was so entertaining and to see his every thought and whim was what kept me intrigued what was happening.

Georgiy was truly his perfect match in each and every way. When he hurt Bane’s feelings at a certain point in the book and Anthony and everyone was like “who hurt you” I was here for it. The found family was so perfect because they truly loved him. Each moment he was going through something, they were there.

This was another level of “touch him and die” because Bane’s man don’t play around. That rescue mission was everything I needed and so much more.

I just really loved how we got to know each of them from their pasts. As hard as it was, I’m so glad that we got to figure out both of their histories. No wonder they were destined to be together. I really loved the touch starved/touch aversed from these two because it was perfection from these two. From Bane wanting all the cuddles and touches to poor Georgiy not wanting any, they made it work.

Jax and Kit… like holy grail… they better get a book and Bane better be front and center when they get their happily ever after. From the start, he was pushing these two together.

As usual, Cora’s books are always over the top and I’m here for every emotion, hope and just everything that knows we want.

***ARC Review***

This is my honest and voluntary review.

This is the fourth book in Cora Rose’s Unexpectedly Twisted series. I was beyond ecstatic when she announced that Bane would be getting his own book. Bane is a fascinating character! I was happy to see Bane find his happily ever after with Georgiy in this story. Both men have traumatic pasts and I’m glad they’re able to find comfort in one another. Bane’s chaos and Georgiy’s control just work together.

It’s clear that Bane is absolutely enamored with Georgiy. He simply has to have him. And despite some earlier restraint, Georgiy feels the same way. His desire to possess and own Bane is top tier. Georgiy is protective of Bane and I’m glad that he wants to be the person to take care of him.

Rose delves into Bane’s past in this book. He starts to unravel the mystery behind some of the memories/dreams that he’s having. During Bane’s journey to figure out who he is, he realizes who his actual family is - his chosen family. (Found family vibes are strong in this book). I love how fervently Anthony and the rest of the Costello clan care about Bane.

Bane and Georgiy have some hurdles to overcome with sinister rivals (be sure to check the trigger warnings in this one), but they manage to come out on top. Their connection, chemistry, and commitment to one another is strong. This book is full of zany Bane-isms that will absolutely have you loving him even more than in previous appearances in other books. The epilogue is both apt and satisfying.

Grab a copy when it releases on January 23rd.

I was so exited to read Banes story since he was introduced in the first book. I was so exited to see how the chaos gremlin Bane finds his HEA also the conclusion on who was after the group and how they deal with them. Honestly the couoples relationship was so chaotic and unhinged but it fit the charaters really well.

That’s not healthy. None of this is.
But then again, I’ve never really been mentally stable. And he definitely isn’t.
Sanity is overrated to begin with.”

Honestly i never thought how dark their history could be like especially Bane what he went through in his childhood is horiffic and i was so sad for him but also so happy to see how he managed to get over it. This found family was one of my favourite ones ever and im honestly sad its over. Although, would the author consider writing short novellas for Teddys and Jaxs stories? That would be awesome since those characters are mentioned quite often and i would like to see their HEA too.
Honestly this story is spicy, exiting and shockingly unhinged in the best way. Also some of the spicy scenes were hilarious too

“What are you doing with your dick?” I ask.
“Getting some wind,” he replies.
“It is not a propeller. Stop that.” I slap his hand, and in turn, his dick, and he gasps, his cock growing erect.
“Oh, do that again. Slap my helicopter dick.”

I am so greatful for The Author agency for providing me with an ARC copy in exchange for my honest review.

His Reaper is book four in the Unexpectedly Twisted series. This MM mafia romance story is about Bane and Georgiy.

This series is amazing and I have been looking forward to Bane’s book ever since we first met him. My heart broke from all the pain and trauma Bane had been through. He was a bit touch starved and I just wanted to hug him and protect him. Bane was the best unhinged menace and I couldn’t love him more.

Bane had been obsessed with Georgiy ever since they met. Georgiy had an aversion to touch, so I did get concerned it would become a problem. Georgiy had boundaries that he eventually let Bane crash through, but I don’t know if I could have been as patient as Bane. I have to say I didn’t care for how Georgiy treated Bane in the beginning, but thankfully he was able to give Bane what he needed.

Someone was trying to sabotage the Costello family, and we got to see Bane torture people to find out why and who was behind it. Bane and Georgiy worked together to uncover the dark truths about Bane’s past. I did enjoy getting more of the guys from the previous books as well as some very interesting side characters. This story was a wild ride. In the end, I am so happy that Bane got the love and happiness he deserved.

I received an advanced copy of this book, and this is my honest review.

“Take what you want, Bane of my existence. You own me just as much as I own you”

I am actually squealing at how good this was. I’ve been obsessed with bane since the beginning and holy smokes this did not disappoint. This was everything you wanted it to be. It was hilarious and heartbreaking and sad and joyful and swoonworthy. Yes Bane is slightly psychotic and crazy and his mind may not be all there but he is so sweet and loves his family and literally all he’s ever wanted is to be loved and adored and cared for and georgiy gives him that. Georgiy is so hot and boy does he loveeeeeeee our man bane for exactly who he is. The first epilogue was EVERYTHING. It made me so emotional and it really was the perfect way to end the book. I could have happily read 400 more pages on these two. They’re fun and hilarious and obsessed and so protective with each other, what more could you want? The pacing was great and I was happily reading along because you just never know what was going to happen next. I highly recommend you read this book, but definitely read it in order of the series to get the full impact from this one. Just remember that this series truly is dark romance, some of it is incredibly ridiculous but at the same time perfect for these characters. Cora Rose is brilliant and she’s out done herself with this one!

His Reaper – Cora Rose 🖤📖
On one side, Georgiy, who doesn’t like being touched; on the other, Bane, who loves hugging and physical contact… This contrast creates a strong tension between them right from the start 🔥 and adds emotional depth to the story.
The story continues from the epilogue at the end of the third book, and this transition preserves the integrity of the series beautifully ✨ The plot is overall very well executed; the connections woven throughout the series and the underlying plot twist were truly satisfying 🧩
This book was a complete emotional rollercoaster for me 🎢 I laughed and I cried. Once again, Cora Rose managed to write scenes that make you smile and then suddenly leave you with a lump in your throat. Especially in chapter 14, one moment I was smiling, and the next my eyes were filled with tears 🥺
The introduction of new characters into the story and reading their interactions with the other characters was quite enjoyable 🤍 Their contribution to the story felt just right.
In the end, I absolutely loved Georgiy and Bane 🖤🔥 Their interaction, the obsession they develop for each other, and the way these emotions are portrayed were done so well. Especially Bane, who surprised me and made me admire him ✨

4/5 stars 4/5 spice

This was just as unhinged and chaotic as I was expecting Bane’s story to be. Even though Bane is presented as this bloodthirsty, somewhat naive, psychopath, he actually has a really sweet and emotional side to him, especially towards those he cares about.

Bane and Georgiy couldn’t be more different, but they accept those differences and even compromise for each other. I loved seeing Georgiy slowly become comfortable with Bane touching him, to them constantly comforting one another with touch towards the end.

Bane’s past is very horrific but it makes the present he built for himself and the people he surrounded himself with all the more special. Seeing his bond with each of his found family members was beautiful. They all accepted and loved him for who he was.

I did really enjoy Georgiy’s possessiveness over Bane. The markings, the punishments, and the constant reminders that he was his, I found it just as hot as Bane did. These two were totally obsessed with one another and their ending was really fitting to them.

- Mafia
- Opposites attract
- Traumatic past, unhinged, touch starved, scarred MMC
- Touch aversion, doctor, possessive, scarred MMC
- Black cat X golden retriever
- Found family
- Hurt/comfort

My sweet sweet Bane. Uhhhhh he is absolutely perfect 🥰. Since the first time we met Bane i needed his story. I know he dismantles people for a living but hes just a sweet boy in a man's body wanting to be loved.

I hate Henri! All he does is hurt my sweet Bane 😡

Georgiy although stand-offish treasures his "Bane of his existence" the way he would be treasured. He loves and cares for Bane so fiercely. The way Banes partner should. Georgiy would move heaven and earth to make sure Bane is safe and cared for and that makes my heart so happy for Bane. But the way Bane also sees Georgiy for who he is and just knows his limits with him is just as beautiful.

I've been waiting on Bane for what feels like years and im so happy to finally know more about why he is the way he is. Why he is so unhinged and twisted and this book dif not disappoint!

The ending was everything I needed it to be. Thank you Cora. Idk how you think this stuff up but im living for it.

Also how cool was it to Erin Russell lend you a character! I absolutely loved that!!!

Eeeekkkkkkkkk
I truly cant wait to add him to my bookshelf.
