Silver is one of my favourite characters created by Ms. Blevins. I love Silver because of how they feel about themselves and how they are incredibly gender fluid. I'm not interested in arguments about gender as a social construct and everything else that is going on in the world. What I would like to state, is how Silver thinks, behaves, and treats others is a model of how we all should be . . . regardless of how we are born or identify.

I was very happy to receive the ARC of this book since Silver was very intriguing. This book was engrossing and I like how the couple was unconventional. It's the first time I read about an hermaphrodite with an eunuch.

I read this book in only 2 days and I finished it way too late into the night. It was totally worth it and I am so glad that I had access to the second book right away. What a cliffhanger otherwise! I enjoyed reading this book because I am rooting for people finding their soulmates especially when the odds are against them. I like how this story was not drama filled or angsty but lot of challenges were in the way of this couple. It was eventful and not boring. There were different plot lines in this story and I'm very curious to see where they all lead in the next book. The gender fluidity was handled eloquently and organically, it didn't feel on the nose or judgemental or preachy. It is also a treat to catch up with characters from other series, though new readers can still enjoy this as a standalone. Long-time fans, however, will get so much more from all the intertwined relationships.

The characters that Candace Blevins conjures up in her very creative mind never cease to amaze me. Be they supernatural, human or animal, they are one-of-a-kind and extraordinary. Silver, Mythic Beast guitarist, has been randomly appear in different books by Ms. Blevins since 2016. Silver is rather mysterious as to gender and we've been kept guessing for years. But, this is first and foremost a romance between to beings whose gender identities were determined by nature and age-old practices. Julian and Silver feel a definite connection upon their first meeting. Exploring that connection through their proclivities, societal norms, personal restraints and supernatural law has its challenges but they overcome all obstacles admirably. There's an element of danger that is carried over from book three of this series, There's a Way and is woven seamlessly into Rock Bottom. Silver and Julian navigate it with the help of familiar faces; Marco, Kristen, Cora, Aaron, Nathan, Mordacai, and so many more. But leave it to Ms. Blevins to put you on the edge of your seat with a book ending cliffhanger.

Silver is such a great character, I loved getting to know her girly side as well as her manly side. Their personality is just so intense that it would take another intense personality to understand them. Julian is that person for Silver.

Silver is thrown into the supernatural world once they find out what Julian is. But the Supernatural world is so complex, there was so much going on, but I never felt lost. One of the best parts is reading about previous characters who make appearances and just how many they kinda take Silver under their wing.

Julian and Silver have found that they don’t need to hide anything from each other, they both accept each other as they are. It was amazing to see how their relationship starts out and how it grows, with confidence and trust. And trust is very much important because of the kink elements in their relationship. Wow, Candace definitely knows how to write some amazing scenes.

Be aware this does end in a cliffhanger, oh boy was that a cliffhanger, I cannot wait to see how their story continues.

I don’t think Julian and Silver couldn’t be better matched for each other! Both are their own person, their own way, and they have accepted who and how they are. Both feel deeply, care openly, and have pasts that sometimes trips them up. Both have strongly supportive friends who always have their backs, even if they don’t realize they need it. Their romance is for them, and them alone, although there is no way to keep it only to themselves. I just loved how they took the time, the space, the moments, that they needed to be comfortable with each other. They forged a bond so strong, even before they admitted their feelings for each other, and that carried them through all that life gave to them, and it appears, will be giving to them in the next book!

Candace Blevins never fails to bring a new twist. Silver has secrets and as they bring them to light in this tale you can’t help but fall for them. Silver knows who they are and years of therapy has given them the confidence to give a big FU to anyone who feels they have a say in the matter. I fell for Silver alongside Julian and marveled as their relationship grows. The ending left me breathlessly awaiting the next installment.

I loved reading about Silver and Julian falling in love! They both had major obstacles from childhood that they needed to work through to be themselves. I love how Candace's book don't shy away from mental health issues and that she is so therapist positive.

Besides the amazing kink in this book I love how everyone is in the Kristen O'shea universe. Some major cameo's from some of my favorite people!

Silver is super comfortable with who they are. The band and their fans accept Silver whether presenting make or female. Finding Julian is unexpected but welcome. Julian also accepts and enjoys all that Silver is.
I wasn't sure what to expect with Silver. I knew that Silver's gender was fluid because Ms. Blevins never hid that or Silver in previous books. And I must say I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Silver better. I love that Silver was so comfortable and gave zero care to how others perceived them. I love the strength and confidence Silver exudes even as we see what makes them vulnerable. And I adored Julian. He was such a dichotomy. He was a dominant with very little control. I loved how he and Silver fit. I loved seeing them forge a relationship that didn't seem possible or long lasting. Ms. Blevins tackled a relationship that wasn't easy. I love how she did that with honesty. I love how it was real without being a caricature. Both Julian and Silver were different but those differences didn't define them and Ms. Blevins gave us their story. She showed us that love, real love sees beneath the surface and supports all you are and not just what is acceptable to society.
