"Contrary to what most politicians would have you believe, freedom is not the right to choose (or escape) the government that plunders and oppresses you. It is the right to produce and retain the fruits of honest labor, and to choose, or _not choose_, a government that provides protection from force or fraud. This protection, _if it is desired_, is government's _only possible_ legitimate function." Political quotes, facts, and statistics, grouped by topic (e.g. "Inflation", "Property Rights", "Regulation", "Wealth"). Some highlights: paper currency is not money (specie, such as gold, is money); property is the paramount requirement for freedom; a democracy that can take property leads to tyranny; government will always steal and buy votes with the plunder; after inflation, most investments do badly yet we're still taxed on phantom gains; governments create nothing: producers and savers build the economy.
