The author starts this off with a note stating that this really isn't a standalone book and is more of a "catch up" with all of the characters. It had been a while since I read some of the books, so I probably would have enjoyed it a bit more if things were a bit more fresh in my mind. While the couples were there, some (like Jennie and Chad) Barely make an appearance. The wedding problems became annoying very quickly.

This 6th book's story line was okay. I liked the food in this story. I liked the hot & steamy scenes. I liked how Zach took care of Jesse. I was happy for Kelly & Jack. I liked the introduction of Logan. I liked the ending.

This is a good set of romance novellas, with a likable couple. The set get 3 stars from me.
In the first novella, The Baker's Bodyguard, I thought Jesse's reaction to her sister Kelly's kidnapping was a bit extreme. I get that everyone reacts to things differently, but I was just surprised that she developed such severe anxiety when she wasn't the one who was kidnapped. I liked both Jesse and Zach, and thought they were good together. I did think, though, that their starting a relationship when he was her bodyguard was not a good idea. It was unprofessional of him, and wrong of her to ask it of him. Then, when he thought he had made a terrible mistake with her, she got ridiculously angry -- when she knew they should have waited to get involved until he was no longer her bodyguard. I enjoyed this novella, and liked that Zach was so good for Jesse. It was a quick, entertaining read. It gets 3.5 stars from me, rounded down to 3 stars.
The 2nd novella, Wedding Bell Blues, was OK, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the 1st one. It was the story of all the problems Jesse and Zach ran into at their wedding. I get that it would have been very frustrating and disappointing to have so many catastrophes mess up all their wedding plans -- but it seemed to me like Jesse was a little more concerned with having her perfect wedding than she was with making sure they had a good married life. She wasn't exactly a bridezilla, but she was definitely fixated on having her "perfect" wedding. I thought Zach was sweet in that he was so patient with her and all her plans, though. This novella gets 3 stars from me.
For those who care, these novellas do contain quite a bit of sex, so it might bother anyone who prefers clean romances.
By the way, I will not show as a verified purchaser of this book on Amazon -- because it was a free novella set downloaded from the author's website.
My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

Jesse and Zach's wedding in snowy Vermont just before Christmas is none of what they wanted or asked for but it was the stuff dreams are made of.

I was pulled right into this short story. The story has laughs and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Legal Ease (Sutton Capital, #1)
Penalty Clause (Sutton Capital, #2)
The Baker's Bodyguard (Sutton Capital, #3)
Negotiation Tactics (Sutton Capital, #4)
The Billionaire's Suite Dreams (Sutton Capital, #5)
This is more of Jesse and Zach’s story. Jesse and Zach are about to be married. One mishap after another is not about to stop them. No wedding is perfect but these two experience problem after problem. Just when they think all is lost in the end it’s all about love and family. Watch these two and their friends work together to get them both to the wedding. It might not be perfect but it’s just what they need. You get updates on all the couples in the series so far. You also get a glance into the next couple.
I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book.

In The Baker, The Bodyguard, and The Wedding Bells Blues by Lori Ryan (The Sutton Capital Series #5) Jesse is all set to marry Brad in her dream winter wonderland wedding. Or is she? When the first thing goes wrong, Jesse thinks nothing else can...but it's not just one thing that will go wrong for her dream wedding! Will the most important part finally happen?
The Baker, The Bodyguard, and The Wedding Bell Blues is a fast paced, entertaining catch up with characters from previous Sutton Capital Series books. I loved all of these characters, their interactions, and how they reacted to all the mishaps in this novella. The setting is wintry and feels magical, perfect for the scene Lori is creating. If you've read this series and are looking for a quick, fun, sweet read I'd recommend The Baker, The Bodyguard, and the Wedding Bell Blues.

This is the wedding of Zach and Jesse and while they had planned it for about a year, pretty much all that could go wrong did. Jesse had her wedding planned from the time she was a little girl and she and her sister Kelley would sit and plan. Jess is getting married in the mountains and well the groom almost didn't make it to the wedding due to a snowstorm. Of course, it all started when Jess sprained her ankle before her wedding weekend and was put in an air cast. She handled most of the mishaps very well but everyone has a breaking point.
This was a wonderful short story and even though Jess didn't get the wedding she dreamed of perhaps she got the wedding that she needed. It was very romantic and nature provided the perfect backdrop.
I can't wait to see what is next for the people of Sutton Captial!

A great way to catch up with the gang from the Sutton Series. I love these books by Lori Ryan and this novella was such a fun and laugh out loud story. Jessie and Zach had been planning this wedding for over a year. It was to be Jessie's dream wedding but everything that could go wrong did but ultimately Jessie and Zach realize that it's not the wedding but their life together was what counted. Such a fun story. It can be read without reading the Sutton series but reading all of the books will make The Baker, The Bodyguard, and the Wedding Bell Blues so much better!

What a fun holiday read. Who wouldn't want a winter wonderland wedding. Jesse and Zach had been planning this wedding for the last year, mishaps begin happening that will having you laughing out loud. Will Jesse turn into a bridezilla? I enjoyed catching up with the rest of the Sutton family.
I highly recommend reading this book, enjoyed better if you read the Sutton series ( which I also recommend).

Wedding Disasters
How many of you had at least one wedding disaster leading up to your wedding? I had three and really was worrying about whether the wedding was going to happen. Poor Jesse and Zach have a few too and they make for a wonderful story. Do they finally make it to the alter? To find out and to share in their journey to the alter you will want to read this book
I am excited that Lori Ryan has promised more Sutton Capital books also.

This was a wonderful romance about Jessie and Zach' s wedding and a great way to catch up with the Sutton Capital series. Everything that can go wrong, does for this couple. Surrounded by family and friends, they somehow manage to pull off a beautiful Christmas wedding. Love Lori Ryan's simple writing style and the special way she weaves her romance into her story. If you haven't read this series you need to give it a try.

After a somewhat rocky start Jesse and Zach are finally ready to become husband and wife. As Kelly is super excited about her sister Jesse's childhood dream wedding coming true, she can't help but notice things seem to be jinxed. With unexpected heavy snow, man made fires, disrupted food menus and injury to Jesse's foot, there's a lot of stuff going on. This is a great novella to catch up with every one from the Sutton Capital Series
