‘He has all the potential to become the greatest of all time’ Valentino Rossi, nine-time world championMarc Márquez is a phenomenon in the world of motorsports. In his first season in MotoGP, at the tender age of 20, he achieved the extraordinary by becoming the youngest world champion ever. He’s currently dominating in his second season, and is set to become the greatest the sport has ever seen. In his first official biography - fully-illustrated with many unseen photographs - Marc offers an exclusive insight into his first year racing in the premier class and his historic championship win. Through the words of his team, his family and his rivals for the title, we begin to understand the answer to his remarkable success. It’s the story of Marc’s greatest risks and challenges, from vision problems that put a halt on his career to the huge crash in May that saw him flying off his bike at a staggering speed of 175 mph. But Marc continues to rewrite history, earning titles with his fearless racing and winning fans with his boyish charm and famous smile – and smashing every record along the way.
i mean idk how to even rate this book it was pretty short and like half pictures LOL but it get 4 stars bc it gave me the perfect amount of material to go crazy about while trying to process this marc honda-gresini move. everyone should watch motogp: it has more overtakes/action/drama than f1, just as many storylines, and all the riders are absolutely crazy this book being written in 2014 felt like a super weird flashback - like wdym marc and valentino don't hate each other yet - wdym marc only has 1 world championship - wdym alex is still in moto3 - wdym they still race at laguna seca and indianapolis - wdym marc hasn't had his arm injury yet - wdym his teammate is still dani pedrosa - also i've been watching some 2013 races recently, and it's crazy to see things that i just watched get mentioned (like marc's first podium, first win, getting black flagged at phillip island, the beloved sachsenring) anyways i really hope this gresini move works out, bc he'll be on a satellite ducati but at least it's a ducati (the same cannot be said for fabio unfortunately) fun times i need to stop being crazy abt motogp and accept that the chance of either fabio or marc getting a podium in the last 6 races is like 0.
"Marc is like a young Valentino. [...] Rider like Marquez only come along once every 20 years: Agostini, Roberts, Spencer, Rossi...." CarloPernat
This is my very first time reading a "biography" book. Am I right to consider this book as a biography while it has so many pictures? I dont know, but let just say, this is the one :))
I always love watching a biography film, especially if they have something to do with WW1 or WW2, but most of all, I just love watching a very famous people's history/life background, we can learn one or two thing, and most of them will taught us that, if you believe in it, dreams will come true.
There are only two sports I enjoy watching. They are MotoGP and Football. For football, I didnt have a fav's team, you can call me "penonton musiman xD" but when it comes to FIFA World Cup and UEFA EURO, I can stay up all night just to watch them, and I always in team Spain :)))
The same thing goes to MotoGP, I love waiting every weekend to watch a MotoGP race and again, I love Spanish' riders especially Marc Marquez. I didnt know him from the start (125cc). I knew him when he made a debut as a rookie in MotoGP 2013 (and Im still living in the dorm, so mostly I watched his performance in internet:")
I ordered this book via online last month, and received it 2 days ago, maybe, and I try read this book as slowly as I could because I didnt want it to end xD and I love the cover soooo much, he is so gorgeous, actually in some point, he reminds me with ShawnMendes but it just me.
"This boy is learning too fast, he learns a lot riding behind me." DaniPedrosa "It was Marc's day, and he crushed us. Nos we head for Laguna Seca, a sircuit made for bastard like him." ValentinoRossi "Marc is a phenomenon, the biggest phenomenon to hit MotoGP in the last 10 years. We bot deserved the tittle, but he, as a rookie, perhaps deserved it that a little bit more. He is definitely a worthy champion." JorgeLorenzo "I cant remember a rookie rider as good as Marc - he's able to do things on the track the rest of us arent capablr of doing. [...] Marc's come beat us all." CalCrutchlow "As far as Im concerned, Marc is an outstanding athlete, exceptional, brilliant, a genuine pleasure to have among us [...] I agree that his charisma, his sunny disposition and his smile are all great and noteworthy, but what I like most about Marc is the way he races, the way he rides, and his determination." CarmeloEzpelata "I was very impressed by him: he was only little, very young, very lively and alert, and really friendly. What most impressed me was the twinkle in his eye." MilaVior
Im hoping I can watch MotoGP 2017 live in Sepang, Malaysia:((((( wish me luck:)
Loved reading about Marc. Learned that he’s highly motivated and down to earth at the same time. If you love MotoGP you’ll love this story of once in a generation rider.
“Marc has got it all and he’s exploded on to the MotoGP scene in his debut season. Did I expect it? No, I can’t say I did, at least not in such brilliant and crushing fashion. He has been cavalier, delightfully cavalier, unafraid of taking on, and beating, the champion riders.”
