If you have already read Pat Dorsey's The Five Rules for Successful Stock Investing: Morningstar's Guide to Building Wealth and Winning in the Market, then there's no need to read this book.

An enjoyable read. The focus is primarily on moats; the unique and competitive factor a business has. Concise, to the point, and on a personal note I really like that each chapter features its major takeaways on the last page.

A good book on competitive advantages. If i had not been enlightened before by other great ones on this topic, such as my all time favorite by Porter, this might be a 5-star.
Also well written, with wit and clarity.

Very insightful, though not very technical because it's meant to be something presented to the public. That's why I gave it 4 instead of 5, but it could also be the reason why someone gives it a 5 instead of a 4.

We should build a moat!

This is an excellent introduction to economic moats, covering the Morningstar approach to analyzing competitive advantages extremely well. It's a pretty quick read and worth it's weight in gold.

Amazing book on Investment, delves into a very wide topic, Moat coined by Warren Buffett and what's amazing is he related almost every aspect of business fundamentals to the concept of Moat. This really is a little book that will build wealth if you're willing to follow it.

The first 75% was pretty fundamental (no pun intended). It got better in the last 25% when he got into P/E ratios and summarizing how to apply his principles in concrete examples.

“unless a company has some kind of economic moat, predicting how much shareholder value it will create in the future is pretty much a crapshoot, regardless of what the historical track record looks like.
