Elle Kennedy:

One Night Of Trouble is book three in the After Hours series by Elle Kennedy. This book concentrates on AJ, the third partner of the three owners of the club, Sin, and the woman that showed him that it’s okay to be bad.

 :

AJ has always been known as ‘Mr. Nice Guy.’ He makes sure everyone around him is happy. He always chooses women to date that his parents would approve of and he never, ever has a one night stand. AJ is used to women coming on to him at the club and some of them are beautiful, but that’s not what he wants. Then Brett Conlon walked up to his bar. She had eyes that captivated him, and an attitude that should have put him off. But all it did was turn him on. There was no way he was letting this little pixie of a tattoo covered girl get away from him. He’s tired of trying to be perfect. Tonight, he can take this beautiful woman home and let out the bad boy he has kept hiding inside of him, just for one night.

sexy times

Brett Conlon is the only daughter and youngest child of a father that owns a chain of tattoo parlors with her three older brothers. She has a history of being somewhat of a wild child, and has a history of always choosing the worst boyfriends. Her dad is getting ready to open up a new tattoo parlor and Brett wants to run it. But she has to convince her dad that she can clean up her act, that she can handle it. As soon as AJ touched her, she knew she wanted to let him take her home. Just one night with him, one night to quit trying so hard to be good.

Circumstances arise that cause Brett to ask AJ if he would be her fake boyfriend for just three weeks, to help to convince her dad that she is up to the task of running the new shop. AJ is just the sort of guy that would convince her dad that she has good judgement. And the best perk of all to AJ posing as her fake boyfriend is three more weeks of mind blowing sex.

Couples love:

The more time these two spend together, the stronger their connection becomes. They are both better people when they are together. They laugh a lot, talk a lot, and have lots and lots of sex! AJ finds himself sharing things with Brett that he has never shared with anyone, not even his two best friends and co-owners of the club. But Brett starts to realize how conflicted AJ really is. He tries so hard to be perfect for everyone else but when they are alone, he lets his bad boy out.

“He’d shown her exactly who he was that first night, and she found comfort in the knowledge that AJ didn’t hide himself from her. But he hid from everyone else. She wanted AJ to be as proud of himself as she was of him. Now she just had to convince him.”

I loved this third installment of this series. I immediately fell in love with AJ’s bad boy side. I hated watching him struggle with keeping it hidden. And Brett was amazing and perfect for him. These two had chemistry hotter than fire and it was amazing. I’ve said before that I love epilogues and this one was perfect. As far as I know this is the final book in this series. I loved all three books and hope you’ll give them a try!

4.25 Nice Guy meets his Wild Side Stars

For this one night, he could drop the good-guy mask and act on the primal urges he'd been fighting his entire life.

Well, well, well Miss Kennedy. Seems you've been holding out on me with AJ and you managed to save the best for last. In the previous two books AJ has always come off as the safe, unassuming, and tamer of his 2 partners. Always the reasonable one and almost...dare I say...boring? Well, still waters run deep, my friends. Because all this time AJ has been hiding his inner bad boy and apparently he just needed the right woman to bring it out in him.
You know, you're really not as nice as you look."
"Isn't that what I've been telling you all along?" His smile widened. "There's nothing nice about what I'm going to do to you tonight."
And then he touched her...

Brett Conlon is done with her wild, bad girl ways. After her most recent choice of boyfriends puts her in a situation that lands her in jail for the night, she swears she's done. No more drinking, not more wild parties; she's on the straight and narrow now. She needs to prove to her father that she's reliable enough to run the tattoo parlor on her own. So she makes a change and sticks to it...until a blast from her past tempts her to let her inner bad girl out to play, if only for a night.
C'mon, angel, give me a taste of the wild girl you used to be. I promise you can lock her up again after tonight..." He parted the top of his pants. "At least until the next time I want her to come out."

AJ Walsh is used to being the good boy; a good son, a good friend, and the dreaded 'nice guy' when it comes to his relationships. He has a type too; he likes them blonde, beautiful, classy...and safe just like him. So why is a wild brunette beauty covered in tattoos all of a sudden calls to him like a siren? Used to everyone liking him he doesn't understand why the woman is glaring daggers at him and giving attitude to boot. Especially when all he wants to do is let the true personality he's hiding loose with her for reasons that he can't understand.
Ha. Boy next door, her ass. AJ Walsh was the devil.

Brent remembers AJ very well from her high school days. He was 3 years older, popular, star football player, and wanted by every hot cheerleader. Why would he remember the shy and awkward younger girl that all his female friends used to taunt? But AJ is also not at all what she expects and when he makes it clear that even though he may not remember her from high school but he's very interested in getting to know her better now...well how can she turn that down?

So they make a deal; Brett will give AJ a taste of the wild side he's craving and in return AJ will pretend to be her boyfriend for the week to make her look more respectable and reliable to her father and brothers. A win/win, right?

This was probably my favorite book in the series. The chemistry between AJ and Brett is sizzling from the very start and it doesn't let up until the last page. Brett was a great heroine; sassy, a little wild, and incredibly endearing.

My one fear was that AJ's 'transition' from nice guy to bad boy wouldn't really be believable or feel forced. But Elle Kennedy pulled this off effortlessly. Not only did I believe it, I could see how he's been hiding the inner bad boy that has been brewing under the surface all these years. His reasons for the personality change were heartbreaking, and it made so much sense that it just pulled everything together for me.

AJ was the perfect combination of bad boy dirty talker with a nice guy. He didn't need to be a man whore to pull off this vibe, and it was perfect. If you've enjoyed the first 2 books in this series, then you'll definitely love this one. And if you haven't read this spicy little series yet, then I'm not sure what you're waiting for.

AJ Walsh has always been the good guy – the good son, the good friend and of course the good perfect boyfriend. No one knows about AJ bad boy side. When he meets a gorgeous tattooed woman in his bar, his inner bad boy suddenly appears and he wants for the first time to have a one night stand.

“I’m asking if I can take you home and screw your brains out.”

Brett Conlon used to be wild. Her dream is to run her family newest tattoo parlor, but first she needs to change. All she wants is to prove her family she grow up and she can be a good, responsible girl.
For AJ is lust at the first sight. Brett remembers AJ from high school when he used to be the good perfect boy. But now Brett sees another side of AJ, a side that she loves.

“The golden boy was gone, replaced by a primal creature teeming with raw sexual energy. The electricity in the air was liable to burn her alive.”

They agree to spend one night together, but the next morning when one of Brett’s brother finds AJ in Brett apartment, Brett claims that AJ is her boyfriends in order to save her image. Brett and AJ agree to spend three and a half weeks together until Brett’s father has to decide if she is responsible enough to be the manager for the new tattoo shop. They have to perfect opportunity here to turn the one night stand into a several-nights stand. So they start to spend almost every night together, having wild sex, but also knowing each other better.

This was my favorite book is the series. I enjoyed the storyline even if it was a little predictable. Both AJ and Brett are very likeable. Brett was so great. I liked her a lot. I liked how she spoke her mind every time and I enjoyed her wild side. AJ was perfect in my eyes. He can be the perfect gentlemen, but also the bad boy. In bed he was yummy. Loved his dirty mouth and his sexy, dominant side. Brett ans AJ's chemistry is off the charts and the sex scenes between them so hot and intense.

I enjoyed their banter and how their relationship grow. I loved Brett for the fact that she wants AJ to change for him, no for someone else and how she accepting and supportive she was.

Overall, an enjoyable, sexy read!

Book 3 in the After Hours series features AJ, the third owner of Sin.

AJ has always been the good guy. He feels guilt over a tragedy from his past. He feels like he has to be the perfect son for his family. But there's some bad in AJ....right there....just itching to....

Brett and AJ went to high school together. They bump in to each other at Sin but AJ doesn't remember who she is. Brett is the opposite of the image of wholesome, with her tattoos and tough attitude. But Brett makes the bad in AJ want to come out even more.

Brett knows a thing or two about being bad. She hasn't always made the best decisions when it comes to men. She's trying to show her family that she can be responsible and mature.

So what happens when the bad girl trying to be good and a good guy dying to be bad spend the night together.

Lots and lots of orgasms.

AJ and Brett end up pretending to be boyfriend and girlfriend in an effort to show her family she can be responsible. I don't always love this trope, but this one played out rather nicely.

I enjoyed the banter between AJ and Brett...and the sexy times were SMOKING HOT! Overall, this was an easy, light, sexy, virtually drama free read!

Honestly I was bit worried about this one. From what we know in book 2, AJ was suppose to be a boring nice guy. Initially I did feel a bit disconnected with him. The insta lust sure didn't help either.

At first the sexy time kept it going and then next thing I know I couldn't stop reading and was finished in a few hours. I really liked Brett as the heroine. AJ (aww) he grew on me, it was a nice change the hero wasnt a manwhore. One particular scene I'm still laughing at. Enjoyable sexy read!

4 - "You're one of a kind, AJ." Stars!

Elle Kennedy delivers again; I absolutely loved AJ and Brett. A closet dirty boy and an openly sassy girl, clashing and pushing each other’s limits in every way possible, makes for an extremely entertaining read.

Book three in the After Hours series is a definite improvement on its predecessor, Brett offered a refreshing twist to the usual tropes in that she was the tattooed, tattooist bad-ass in direct contrast to AJ’s wholesome boy next door persona. But not all is as it seems, and both of them are trying to make themselves into people that fit the expectations of those around them, rather than who they actually are or want to really be.

AJ has been pretty elusive in the previous two books, in that he has been present, but we didn’t really learn too much about him, you are given the full no-holds barred AJ in One Night of trouble and he is something of a revelation!

”Let me take you home” … “let me show you who I am.”

I really enjoyed this book, and the series as a whole is well worth adding to your TBR shelves.

4 Lustful Stars!

I loved it... ;)

Brett & AJ...a most unlikely couple!
Brett a Tattoo Artist meets AJ bar tending at his own Club "Sin"... there is an intense attraction between these two, one night of Smokin hot sex, multiple organisms...and neither of them wants it to end...
AJ can be himself with Brett...but will their different backgrounds cause problems between them, clearly opposites do attract!!..

A HOT...Sexy...fun read!

4.5 Opposites Attract Stars!!!

AJ and Brett are completely different from one another, and one night of unbridled passion turns into something neither of them has ever experienced before....the opportunity to just be themselves.

We have AJ, who on the surface is a genuinely a good guy. He's gentlemanly, kind, considerate, a devoted son, and a great friend. But theres definitely a darker, wilder side dying to get loose.

Brett has lived on the wild side and is now in a place where her past behavior has caused friction in her family and if she can't prove to her family that her wildness is behind her, she will lose something that's important to her.

 photo PicsArt_1422063579715_zpsnrjbw8eo.jpg

AJ and Brett couldn't be any more different from one another. Brett the tattooed wild child and AJ the conservative "boy next door". A Chance meeting at his nightclub "Sin" is all it took for AJ's primal instincts to roar to it's surface. And what better way to change her ways than with a sweet conservative guy? Neither can deny the sizzling chemistry....when Brett gives in and takes AJ home, both get more than they bargained for!!!!

These two unlikely lovers bring out the best in each other, now all they have to do is face the obstacles that are holding both of them back from finding contentment together.

I really liked the first two books in this series and was really looking forward to reading AJ’s story. This book did not disappoint.

AJ has been living his life acting the way he thinks is expected of him while plagued with a misplaced guilt from his childhood. He meets Brett and is able to let his true personality come out and reveal a bit of his inner “bad” boy. Brett is suffering from the opposite issue. Previous bad decisions in men have made her appear irresponsible in her family’s eyes and she is trying to change that perception.

I loved the situation that led to Brett and AJ pretending to be a couple. It gave both the opportunity to act on their attraction, get to know one another and break down some of the issues they have that would hinder a relationship developing.

Great conclusion to this series!!!

One Night of Trouble by Elle Kennedy
Book Three of the After Hours series
Publisher: Entangled Brazen
Publication Date: January 5, 2015
Rating: 4 stars
Source: Purchased Kindle copy

Summary (from Goodreads):

No More Mr. Nice Guy…

The moment AJ Walsh sees the sexy, tattooed pixie walk up to his bar, it's lust at first sight. He's always been labeled the "nice" guy―opening doors, buying flowers, and never, ever having one-night stands. But with this wicked little angel with red lips and unfathomably dark eyes? Oh, yeah. Tonight, "nice" has nothing to do with it...

Brett Conlon is trying to convince her family that she's put away her reckless wild girl side for good. Nothing―and no one―could be better for her reputation than golden boy AJ Walsh. So they make a deal: if he plays The Good Boyfriend for her family, he can be a very, very bad boy with her. Now their one naughty night is about to turn into a whole lot of trouble...

What I Liked:

I bought this book for $0.99 a really long time ago and never read it! A shame, because I loved the first book in this series. Gage and Skylar are super cute today, very opposites-attract. This is the third and final book in the series, featuring Gage's friend and business partner AJ Walsh. I haven't read book two but I probably will at some point. In any case, this book was awesome!

AJ Walsh has been single for a little while, and he doesn't really mind. Not until a tiny girl with a smattering of tattoos walks into his nightclub. Their connection is instant, and AJ knows he can't walk away from her. It's the same for Brett Conlon - she is intoxicated by AJ from the moment she sees him in the nightclub. They come up with a mutually beneficial agreement: AJ and Brett will keep seeing each for the next month, and pretend to be boyfriend/girlfriend. Brett needs her family to think she is taking her life seriously and not sleeping around, because she wants to run her family's newest tattoo shop. But a short-term fake relationship turns into so much...

This book has a lot of tropes that I like: opposites attract, different upbringings, dominant alpha male, strong female, minimal drama. There are a few appearances of exes, but again, minimal drama. Elle Kennedy seems to have writing drama-free romances down to a science. I open her books and I know that I'm going to fall in love with the couple, and not get irritated with over-the-top drama.

On the outside, AJ seems to be a preppy, selfless, charming, golden boy. He tries to please everyone, especially his parents, and he puts on a good mask. But inside, he's a dominating, rough-and-tumble guy who likes control. He isn't as "nice" as he likes people to think he is. I like AJ; he genuinely is a good guy and has a good heart. He puts on a mask for selfless reasons. He's a good guy but he's also very yummy. There's a lot of passion simmering underneath that charming mask.

Brett is trying to be good; she has had some mistakes in her past, and she wants her father and brothers to see past these things. She wants to show them that she has matured, and she is taking the tattoo parlor business seriously. Getting caught with AJ by her brother wasn't part of the plan, so she lied and said that AJ is her boyfriend. I liked Brett's intentions - she loves working as a tattoo artist, and she has a good head for business.

AJ and Brett have instant chemistry. They're both strong individuals, but AJ is clearly the more alpha of the two, and Brett loves to please him. Their dynamic works for them. AJ is more of his alpha self around her (not in a bad way) and less of The Perfect Son that he wants his parents to think he is. AJ is good for Brett; she takes her work seriously, but she makes room in her heart for him. They develop a strong relationship, and yes, they are very steamy together. There are plenty of hot scenes in this book. It's amazing how the author keeps coming up with different, sizzling sexy times in all of her books (and she has a lot of books!).

The ending is fairly drama-free and it's really sweet! There isn't a huge grand gesture, which I appreciated - but there is some groveling (which was necessary). AJ and Brett are a cute couple and I was happy to see them overcome their inner demons and get together (especially on AJ's side). I wish we could see an extended epilogue with them!

What I Did Not Like:

Nothing in particular to mention! Except maybe that extended epilogue. It was nice to see Gage/Skylar and Reed/Darcy though!

Would I Recommend It:

If you like ~very~ steamy adult contemporary romance, Elle Kennedy's books are for you! I've only read several of her Brazen novels, but I've really enjoyed them. One Night of Sin (book one) is my absolute favorite. I love these books for how hot they are, how well-developed the relationships are, and how drama-free the stories are (or with minimal drama).

Rating:

4 stars. This is book three and I still need to read book two, but I wish there were more books in the series! I love the Entangled Brazen line and I hope Elle Kennedy writes new books with this imprint in the future.

AJ Walsh has so far been a fairly quiet co owner of the BDSM club, Sin. We were introduced to him during One Night of Scandal, when he had been Darcy’s love interest. All we had learnt about him was that he was the picture postcard “good” guy, who didn’t appear to be edgy enough for Darcy.

Brett Conlon is treading a fine line when it comes to verifying to her family that she has grown up, she has straightened herself out, she is taking life more seriously, and she is adamant that she is the only choice to manage the latest branch of the family owned tattoo parlours.

When AJ first caught sight of Brett, he was in awe of this tiny, tattooed, elfin like creature. Her apparent badass delicacy was enough to get his blood pumping, and he wasn’t going to let up until he had claimed her, even if just for one night.

What AJ turned out to be was a whole load of contradictions bubbling beneath his barely contained surface, and as Brett and AJ extend their one night stand antics, we watch with wide smiled humour and brow beating steam.

AJ was my kind of BBF; unassuming, seriously hot, dirty talker, and I have to confess I was glued to this story from the start, beaming and smirking the way through.

Oh AJ, AJ, AJ...

I gotta say I was a lil worried reading the first few pages because AJ has always been painted the boy-next-door good guy who does everything right and and is perfect on paper, and for me to see his "wild" side was quite a leap in my head and I even wondered if it's really necessary since I thought there is nothing wrong with boy-next-door type anyway in the first place. So I'm glad I just kept reading 'cause I then I saw what AJ's "wild" side is and is it scrumptious or what! LOL

Brett was def the right H for AJ, or just the right H, period. Brett is the opposite of AJ. The bad girl trying to reign in her "wild" side so she can be the gal who does everything right and will look perfect on paper, so to speak.

I didn't quite fully buy the "wild" that was either in her or trying to get out of him. And I did feel a lil detached from AJ's back story, as sad as that was. But I really liked both characters. I liked their interaction, their chemistry, and both their personality.

Best part was the Donnely scene, priceless!!

A Brett é espetacular!

AMEI, AMEI, AMEI!!!

One Night of Trouble
4.5 Stars

All round nice guy, AJ Walsh, is tired of maintaining his Mr. Perfect persona, and wants nothing more than to unleash his wild side by indulging in a one-night stand with the gorgeous, tattooed pixie who just walked through the door of his club. While Brett Conlon is attempting to overcome her wild girl reputation, she is willing to allow AJ to play bad boy with her on the condition that he be the perfect pretend boyfriend with her family.

A charming conclusion to an entertaining series.

Both AJ and Brett are appealing characters and their intense sexual chemistry is only heightened by the emotional intimacy that develops between them.

The romance is relatively angst free and the conflict focuses on the couple's relationships with their families and friends. In this regard, Brett's over-protective family are pussycats as compared to AJ's parents and his ex-girlfriend, Darcy. Their unwarranted and appalling prejudice toward Brett is unforgivable and infuriating. It is exactly this bias that put a damper on Darcy's romance in the previous book.

Overall, a well-written, and sexy read although it would have been even better if .

Hotovo.

I really enjoyed the first two books in Elle Kennedy's After Hours series but I had a feeling all along that AJ may end up being my favourite. You know that saying "it's always the quiet ones"? Well that sums up AJ perfectly and this nice guy is the hottest hero of the series! The first two stories were hot but AJ practically melted my kindle and his connection with Brett is nothing less than scorching.

AJ has spent his whole life trying to live up to other people's expectations, he feels like his parents are disappointed with the choices he has made and he feels that he owes it to them to do better. It's not just his parents though, he also falls into the nice guy role around his friends and especially with the women he dates. Deep down all he really wants is to let his bad side out and have a little fun but he's worried about letting people down. Brett on the other hand is the only daughter in a family of tattoo artists, she has gone from one bad relationship to the next and her poor decisions have made her the black sheep of the family. She is desperate to prove to her father that she has changed so that he will give her the chance to run the new tattoo parlour that he is opening but one night of passion with AJ may just have ruined her chances. Until AJ makes her an offer she can't refuse, he'll pretend to be her boyfriend if she let's him act out his wildest fantasies in the bedroom. AJ is the perfect good guy to show her family she's started making responsible choices and there is no way she can resist the opportunity to spend more time with the man who makes her feel so much passion.

I loved AJ and Brett together, they both have a wild side and are very adventurous which leads to some very steamy encounters but they also have a lot in common. I love the way Brett brings out AJ's naughty side, she encourages him to explore his deepest desires and fantasies and she's more than willing to try anything he throws at her. Brett has a reputation as a wild child but in reality she's actually really responsible and she's desperate for her family to take her seriously. AJ has a messed up relationship with his parents after an unfortunate incident in his childhood and I absolutely loved Brett for the way she stood up for him and showed his parents just how much they had been hurting him. I also loved the way they bring out the best in each other, they accept each other for who they are and encourage each other to be who they really want to be.

One Night of Trouble was a fantastic end to the series and ended up being my favourite book. It was nice to catch up with the previous couples (although I was really disappointed with some of Darcy's actions which surprised me) and I loved spending time with AJ and Brett. They were the most passionate couple yet but they also had some really sweet and romantic moments and I think I had a smile on my face throughout the whole book. I can't recommend this whole series highly enough though, if you like your romances spicy then you're going to love these three rough, tough, ex MMA fighting bad boys and end up feeling very jealous of the women who captured their hearts!

Last book of the series.

One Night of Trouble is about Aj's love life. Heck yeah. Now he's the third owner of Sin and best friends with both Reed and Gage. I was a bit hesitant to dive into his book because the second book made me think he was a boring lover. However, I wanted him to redeem himself in this one.. so I ended up diving into it right after finishing the second audio.

AJ is kind of the good guy of the bunch. He is all about everyone else being happy first - which is okay but a bit boring in my eyes. Then Brett walking into his life, and that's when I saw hope. Someone could finally make him a bit more interesting. Now she's the type of girl you don't bring home to mom. Well, Aj's mom to be exact. She's the exact opposite of who she wants to end up with her son. Whereas, I loved the shit out of this chick and didn't like how his mom interfered with her sons love life. Ugh, moms.

These two start off their relationship on shaky fakey ground. Of course, things start to feel real between these two real quick. These two definitely needed to lean on each other to deal with everything around them. Mostly Aj's family.. and his need to be perfect on the outside.

When AJ wasn't acting like that robot version of himself, I loved him. His little bad boy side was adorable to read about. Which is why I loved him and Brett - she made him better. It didn't hurt that they had awesome chemistry and the smut was good too. He was no longer boring guys!

Overall, loved this series and I'm sad to see that it's over.

I really liked AJ and Brett's story. It was good, hot and steamy. I enjoyed seeing the wild and naughty side of AJ. In the previous book, One night of Scandal, AJ came across as too nice, boring and predictable. Apparently AJ had a lot of passion bubbling under the surface and just needed the right girl to set him off. Enter Brett, a sexy wild child trying to be good. Brett is a tattooist who has a colorful past and is trying to calm down and earn the respect of her family. Brett and AJ are combustible together. So they make deal, for 3 weeks AJ will be Brett's good boy by day helping her with her image and at night Brett will help AJ walk on the wild side. After some real sexy times neither is sure 3 weeks is enough. Great read. I loved this series.

Harmless.

AJ wants to break out of his nice-guy persona, so he hooks up with tatted goth girl Brett (seriously) for no-strings, not-so-nice-guy sex. Except the sex is pretty dull and vanilla, which makes me feel sorry for his previous girlfriends.

At one stage Brett tied AJ up during sex, and he was worried after that his workmates would see the marks on his wrists and realise how 'kinky' he was. Like I said, harmless.

This book tried so hard to be something it wasn't - hot.

I liked this one, but not as much as the first two in this series. Still a fun trilogy. Wasn't a big fan of AJ's parent issues and stuff.

Whew boy! One Night of Trouble was wickedly steamy and just an all around fun time.

The Gist: AJ's tired of playing the "good boy" and is ready to take what he wants... when he wants it. And right now that just so happens to be a thoroughly pissed off patron at the club he owns. Hell if he knows why she's so mad at him but he's gonna find out and then fuck her silly. Brett? She may be pissed at him but, yeah, she's on board with stripping him down.

AJ and Brett were fun characters. (and, yes, Brett is the heroine) Seemingly opposites seeing as how he's the wholesome 'good boy' and she's a tatted up 'troublemaker'. But oh they were fun. AJ really was a good guy. He's hot as all hell and cares deeply for those around him. Loves his work and always tries to do the right thing. Brett, well, she's not always made the best choices and is trying to clean up her life. She knows who she is, what she wants and is driven. I loved watching AJ break out of the good boy mold and start doing what he really wanted even if it wasn't always proper. And I loved watching Brett's confidence grow and seeing how hard she tried to turn her life around.

Now the steam. Holy hot damn yes please! AJ has a wicked side that'll leave a girl panting. Yeah. The sex scenes were intense and passionate. It was fun watching them hook up and accidentally land themselves pretending to be in a relationship for weeks after getting caught boinking by her brother. I loved how they played off each other. How desperate they were for each other's touch and understanding. Seeing them fall for each other and become friends.

All in all. One Night of Trouble was steamy, sweet and a fantastic end to the series. Even if the heroine's name was Brett.

Three books in and the good guy, AJ Walsh gets his chance at a happy ending. Straitlaced, boy-next-door, AJ is trying to maintain this façade by being the noble, knight in shining armor. But underneath it all is a guy with a wild streak that comes out to play when he meets Brett Conlon. She may be short, but she sure was feisty. Brett herself is turning over a new lead. She's going on the straight and narrow path and is avoiding all bad decisions like a plague. So when AJ enters her orbit, she finds it hard to resist. The most unlikely couple ever when in actual fact they have a lot in common, not to mention the chemistry and sexy times between them was off the charts scorching hot. All in all, an enjoyable read.

They say the quiet ones are the worst and A.J Walsh has been fairly quiet in our previous outings in Elle Kennedy's After Hours series. Taking a leaf out of Gage's book, he wastes no time when his head is turned in his club by small but feisty Brett Conlon and the time has come for him to throw caution to the wind and enter the realm of the one night stand...

description
One Night of Trouble sees the tables being turned a little; we have a clean cut, good boy and a tattooed bad girl and if ever there were a case of opposites attracting/looks being deceiving A.J and Brett are it. With an amazing chemistry leading to some sizzling shenanigans, a little fib turns one night into three weeks with a faux-mance thrown in for good measure (with the best of intentions of course).

You can't beat a dirty talker and a lady who has some fight in her and and our couple bring just that. And with humour and emotion throughout I devoured it. This series has been hot, sexy, fun, touching, each couple have been unique and Elle Kennedy has finished off the series nicely (although Brett does have three brothers...).

4 - 4.5 stars.

“...Man Brett wouldn’t take no for an answer and pulls me onto the dance floor. But he ended up being a really nice guy, and...”

Back in After Hours, sexual tension is brewing between two friends. AJ Walsh finally gets his book and I think it might be my favorite yet!

As the people person, AJ not only popular with the ladies but it also mans the bar very well on his work nights. But an unexpected occurrence happens when Brent Conlon returns to the picture. Their chemistry is combustible, throwing both of them into some kind of primal heat. As expected, Kennedy wastes no time getting to the good parts. Each scene is wrought with sexual tension and passion and it isn’t until later that the complications arise when Brent’s family steps into the picture.

I quite enjoyed AJ and Brent’s story. It’s sexy but this time, I think Kennedy added some realistic conflicts that made this story more interesting. So far, the previous books of the series have lacked that so I’m thrilled to see the author incorporate this more into her work.

AJ was a thrill to read. While typically fun and easy going, his dominance in the bedroom was a nice surprise and certainly added to the heat level. If you’re a fan of Tessa Bailey’s style of writing then I would highly suggest trying this series out!

I love this series but really stumbled with this one. I had a hard time feeling the connection between AJ and Brett.

So.. firstly let me tell you my type. If you haven’t already guessed from my previous reviews..
Brooding
Manwhore
Bad Boy
Heart of gold
Chiselled looks
Abs for miles
Rough around the edges
Damaged heart
All wrapped up in a dark hair, dark eyed combo. So imagine my non- surprise when I started reading Elle Kennedy’s After Hours series that I was most looking forward to reading about Reed. So I read Reed’s story and loved it. BUT ..
A.J Walsh. There’s no one hotter. Let me tell you. Phew, ( someone get me a bucket of ice ) the guy is sin and deliciousness all roles into a tight ab package. The actual surprise though is the fact he’s a blonde haired, green eye beaut of a man. Which apparently just lately I seem to fall head over heels for in my books!!

This story was the best out of the 3, I loved AJ, I really loved Brett and I loved how their story happened it was all so swoony and sweet and Christ on a bike so so sexy hot!!
