Some of my fave quotes:

Jim: "I want the freedom to try everything." 1968

Jim: "We like anything which is a violent reaction against the norm." 1968

Jim: "I'm interested in anything about revolt, disorder, chaos, especially things that seem to have no meaning." 1968

Jim: "A friend is someone who lets you have total freedom to be yourself." 1968

Jim: "Let's just say I was testing the bounds of reality." 1969

Jim: "When you make your peace with authority, you become authority." 1969

Jim: "Whoever controls the media, controls the mind." 1969

Jim: "Expose yourself to your deepest fear: after that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free." 1969

Ray: "He lived very intensely. He squeezed a lot into his 27 years." 1980

Ray: "It was always difficult to work with Jim. The man was a genius, and genius is allowed a very schizophrenic behaviour. You never knew from day to day which Jim Morrison was going to show up." 1980

Jim: "I am The Lizard King, and I can do anything."

Ray: "Time would be suspended. Time would actually stop. The only thing that would exist would be the energy, the feeling generated between the audience and the band." 1980
