OMG This book was explosive. So much shit happens... my head is spinning. It gets dark but I love Jason and Julz and their sweet moments in between. I also loved how bad Dornan paid for his sins. I love that he died at Julz's hands and that he regretted ever fucking with her. Julz really kicked ass in this book. She and Jason showed their bad ass sides. I really feel bad for Elliot. He is such a great guy and I feel like he needs a HEA!

5 Blow Your Mind Stars

The saddest thing about betrayal
is that it never comes
from your enemies

Months, I've been invested in this series. Reading the installments one by one as they come out while practically salivating for the next one each time because Lili St Germain is the queen of cliffhangers. All those months, all those books, all that build up...it all lead up to this moment...to this incredible, make your heart beat out of your chest and absolutely fucking EPIC conclusion.

Was it everything I had hoped it would be. Fuck no! IT WAS BETTER.

Six brothers down and Julz is that much closer to her ultimate revenge against a man that took everything from her. A man that brutalized her, terrorized her, scarred her, and systematically took everything that mattered to her.
The thing about bargaining with a madman is that you never know just how far he'll go.

And now he wants one final thing; an exchange. Her life for the lives of Elliot's daughter and ex.

But much like everything is with this series, nothing is ever what you believe or think it will be.

I really don't want to give you much more than that because this is something that you truly need to experience absolutely blind.

What I can tell you is that Lili St. Germain is an evil genius. The woman built up this series book by book and any questions you may have had all get answered eventually. It's a brutal, dark, gritty and unapologetic story of revenge and loss. Betrayal and redemption. It's not a love story, but the love between Jase and Julz is most definitely there.

So you're probably wondering now if the ending was satisfactory. And the answer to that is an unequivocal and resounding YES. It truly was. It was exactly the type of ending this story needed and I can understand why Lili choose to go this route. I couldn't see it ending any other way. If you've been waiting to read this series until all the installments were out, I have a warning for you; be prepared to binge on them all at once. You will not be able to stop once you get going. What a truly dark and bloody web this author has woven. It was fucking fantastic!

I can't wait what else she has in store for us next and judging by her note to the readers at the end, it's sure to be one hell of a doozy.

***Note: This is a review for the ENTIRE Gypsy Brothers series, minor spoilers ahead for those who have not read them yet and I will not be tagging them. So don't read this review if you don't want to be spoiled.***

 photo one love.png

Wow, this series was quite the journey. There were moments like this:

And then moments like this:

But overall, this was me while reading all of the books:

When Julz was fifteen years old, she was betrayed by a man she thought was family and his sons. They raped her and almost killed her, and she only escaped with the help of a young cop who faked her death. Six years later, Julz decides it's time for revenge, and heads out of the country for plastic surgery to look like a new girl.

She heads back to the Gypsy Sons compound where she auditions with the man who ruined her life, Dornan. Very quickly Dornan becomes obsessed with Julz, who he knows as Sammi, and Julz finds herself in too deep. Julz also faces another problem, Dornan's younger son Jase, her childhood love is also in the compound, and his presence ignites old feelings once buried.

 photo pagebreak.png

I found this series to be thrilling, shocking and enthralling. There is nothing quite like a revenge tale, and I loved reading about Julz killing off a bunch of the men who raped her. She is such a strong and believable character, mostly because even though she constantly has doubts about what she's doing, she follows through with getting it done. I would have liked a bit more backstory on her relationship with Eliott and Jase, a little more on the connection and history she shared with them would have made it easier to see why they fought so hard to help her and keep her alive, but St. Germain did a good job of making the reader believe the romance without a lot of backstory (or to clarify, as much as I would like).

Dornan was fucking crazy. Just when I thought he couldn't get more demented, he brought out more of his inner psycho. Like stabbing a girl in the leg while giving her oral sex? Then all of the torture scenes in book 5? I seriously thought I was going to ralph when I read the parts about knives making sucking noises in chests. Ugh. But you know what? He made a fantastic villain was the guy you love to hate.

I don't really have a strong opinion on Jase or Elliot, to me they were background for the plot, but I love that Julz got some version of a happy ending with one of them at the end of the journey.

Thank you to Lili St. Germain, you are the author that made me enjoy dark and twisted books. Until now I haven't really cared for them, but now I'm willing to broaden my reading horizons.

5 Epic Stars

I started this series at the beginning of the year. I read the first one the day after it was released and I have anxiously awaited all the other releases. I was drawn to this story because it was so unique. A former motorcycle club princess coming back for revenge after she was brutally raped and beaten as a teenager. I am huge fan of motorcycle club books and serials, throw in some revenge and I was hooked.

This ending is bitter sweet, because I want my epic ending for Julz but I don’t want it to end. The story begins with Julz being interrogated and I couldn’t help but get a little emotional thinking back on her journey and what led to this point.

"None of that will break me. I’ve been tortured by Dornan fucking Ross."

Of course things don’t go as you would imagine and events begin to unfold that will lead to our epic ending.

As this will be a spoiler free review, I will just include that this ending is exactly what I would hope for this series. The ending focused on the primary mission: taking down Dornan Ross and his sons. It also began to set things up for what will come in Cartel.

I have loved Julz throughout the series and I loved how kick-ass she was in this conclusion. She is so protective and willingly to do anything to safe others from Dornan’s wrath. She accepts ownership for her decisions and stayed true to who she is.

I have truly loved this series and couldn’t recommend it more!

5 One Love stars
It’s not pretty, and it’s not nice, but that’s okay. Because, in our world, it takes the taste of death in your mouth, bloody and warm, to truly understand what it means to be alive.

Juliette is back, fiercer than ever and it's time to put an end to it all; to put an end to Dornan Ross and his sick demented son, Donny. Dornan thinks he has the upper hand but he has another thing coming to him, something he least expects ....his death and demise! That's the problem when you think you are invincible, thinking the world revolves around you, thinking you are the owner of everything and every one around you ... You lose! This time she isn't only seeking revenge and vengeance for the nightmare of her past, but for the loved ones who got caught up in her crazy-fucked-up world trying to help her.

One Love is a bittersweet read for me, having followed and read the books since the initial release, so while I'm glad to see it done and over with, I'm also sad to see it go. This series focus was never on love; it is raw, gritty, disturbing, heart-breaking, over-the-top, and I loved every word of it. This serial is small but mighty and packs a big punch. It may not be for everyone but you never know unless you give it a try. It was an ending that was a long time coming, and while it wasn't your typical hearts & flowers ending, it was fitting to the overall story; leaving it open to endless possibilities. The spin off is already in place, and I'm ready to jump in!

5 "They all deserved it" Stars

I have been waiting for this moment, since I've picked Seven Sons... Do you ever get this feeling deep down in your gut that keeps building, and building.. you don't know whether its anxiousness, anger,or simply fear!!?..Will I have been having all those emotions throughout this series..so don't mind me if I enjoyed some blood, nasty revenge. They deserved every bits of it, and i had a
Fuck you smile printed on my face during the whole series.
description..Enough said!

Won't get into this epic ending story. Because you need to read it. it's an Motorcycle, revenge=full of action story, and a kick-ass heroine. can it get any better?!!.. Best Combination.

Absolutely loved Julz. throughout the whole series. and I was more than happy that she got what she came back for.. Now, the ending might not be a very favorable to some. but to me it was exactly how it supposed to end. Like the author mentioned: “This story wasn't a love story. It was a story about vengeance, about redemption, about retribution.”.. So it's hard to imagine the ending to be all lovie dovie..

All in all, A great series. I'm glad that I've read it..

***4 "Finally!!!" stars***

Finally, this cycle of revenge is over!!!!
It's was about damn time!!!! And I'm so relieved about that...

You know what's the most amazing thing is??? Beyond that i enjoyed this ride even though it was cruel and brutal as hell???
That i managed to read the whole series and the Cartel series in one breath without any break... and that's a first for me!!!!

(NO WAY!!!)
Lili St. Germain has a true gift!!! She can keep your interest even if you don't want to...

“I assure you, I’m not the monster in this fucked-up fairytale. But whatever helps you sleep at night.”

Well, in here for once again, Jase and Juliette were trapped by Dornan, but they managed to turn up the tables and they got the apper hand...
To be true, there was many losses in here!!!

Elliot was about to lose everything because he was caught up in Juliette's revenge and now Juliette has to help him out....
In order to do so, she has to face the demon himself!!!

Will she be able to complete her revenge after everything she went through???

"I just want him to be dead.
I just want this to be over.
I just want some fucking sleep."

I won't say much about this book....
I did enjoyed it as much as the previous stories... and I'm so happy that it left me satisfied!!!
I think that Donny took what all the rest of his brothers was worthying but they didn't get....

Yep, i know that this book is bringing at the surface my most dark insticts, but i can't help it!!!
What they did to poor Juliette wasn't right at all!!!

"This is the moment. This is it.
Five down. Well, six, if you count Emilio.
Two.To.Go."

As for Dornan???
He was the most sick motherfucker that i have ever met in a book, and yet...

...when i was feeling his remorse, my heart was getting softer and then, i was remembering what he had done and thank God, my hatred was coming back!!! Bahaha...

"They say a man is never more honest than in his hour of death, and now I see that this is true. Dornan’s eyes are red and glassy, and suddenly, he doesn’t look like the evil psychopath who killed my father and destroyed my life... No, for a split second in time, this creature in front of me is a broken man, a dying man, a man who is burdened down with the weight of his own terrible existence."

This was a story of revenge, so the love story had a back place in those books....

Jason and Juliette had lost so much things and in those six years that they were apart, they changed very much... They are still together, but they are both having so many demons to fight...
Will they stay together??? Is their love enough to pull them out of the dark???

"Everything I have done, every life I have taken, every drop of blood I have spilled.
It was all for this moment right here.
We are broken, two of us.
He builds me back up, piece by piece.
I will never be whole again.
But i am okay.
I am happy.
I am loved."

I don't know how to describe this series.. It had certainly ups and downs. There were installments that I loved and others that challenged me as a person. If you ask anyone who knows me, you'd know that I hate horror movies/series. I can't stand gore and I can't tolerate scenes that probably make other people laugh. I can't even watch Final Destination movies..

That's why reading this series was a challenge to myself. I'm glad that I made it and I have to admit that it was a journey that I don't regret. Even if the images that were added to my brain will probably stay there for a while.. I have a question Lili St. Germain What kind of sadistic thoughts were they?

WARNING!

If you haven't read the previous books, this review may contain spoilers. Do not read if you don't want to get spoiled!

In this final installment there's progress and many things are going on and of course we were all looking forward for the final step of Juliette's revenge.

I just want him to be dead.
I just want this to be over.
I just want some fucking sleep.

There are a couple of obstacles at first, but nothing that Julz cannot overpass. So with assistance from a dear friend, they manage to get closer to Dornan, with a plan so that anyone can make it out alive. Julz wants him desperately dead, she won't get satisfied for an imprisonment.

I cannot rest until he’s dead and buried, a rotting corpse in the cold ground, a memory and nothing more. Dornan Ross needs to burn for the things he’s done.

In this book we get a note from the author at the end.

"This story wasn’t a love story. This was a story about love, yes, but it wasn’t a love story. It was a story about vengeance, about redemption, about retribution."

So, if you're looking for a love story or a romance, this isn't the right book for you. But on the other hand, there's the other thing that the author let us know.

"Juliette and Jase are getting their own book."

Something that I'm truly excited about. I want to read more about them. I missed this element in the book, so whenever there were parts of them, I was devouring them.

“When this is over, I’m going to marry you. We’re going to have lots of babies, and I’m buying you a fucking minivan. Okay?”

I'm still hesitant to read again from this author, to be perfectly honest, but I would recommend the series, to people who have a hard stomach, plenty of alcohol, ready to get into a gritty, overwhelming story.

Finally a quote that fits perfectly to the story.

STILL TWO MORE TO GO

This is not a love story with a happy ending.
It is a disturbing story.
It is a story of desperation, raw cruelty, blood, tears and revenge.
It is not for the faint-hearted and it is not for those that can find love and rainbows in everything and everyone.
It is a story that will rip your heart out.
It will make you wanna throw up with details about the gore, the blood and the torturing.
It will make you sob with the loss of the innocence.

It will make you ecstatic, when the bad guys get stabbed, poisoned, overdosed, blown to pieces, get shot.

In the seventh book of the series Dornan and Julz are having one last slow dance.

4 Vengeful Kick Ass Stars!!

Damn!!! Prepare yourselves, people!! This series is going out with a BANG!!!!!

I was extremely lucky enough to read an early copy of this book, and it snatched me from the first word. The tension is high and no character is safe.

Juliette Portland is one of the strongest most kick-ass heroines that I have ever read, and I will never forget her. And for as great as she is, Dornan Ross is just as brilliant of a villain. I swear I read this entire book through my fingers, covering my eyes, and with my heart in my throat!!! With every single page turn, in my head I was like Oh hell...is someone gonna die on this page?!?! THIS is exactly why I read!! It's all led up to this and fret not, Lili Saint Germain has delivered here, BIG TIME!!!

"The saddest thing about betrayal is that it never comes from your enemies."

Talk about watching a movie in your head! This is the ultimate book that did this for me! This finale was really everything I wanted it to be and more!! This is Lili Saint Germain; so there are no baby showers and white picket fences at the ending of this book. BUT, I was completely satisfied with this ending and I CANNOT FRIGGIN' WAIT for Cartel.

4-4.5 Gory stars!

 photo image.jpg2_zpsh89yvx69.jpg

This is a collective review of the entire series.

The Gypsy Brother saga was truly addicting. This is the perfect example of why I like to wait til all of the books in a series are out. I couldn't wait to get my fix. Straight crack!

I was supposed to start a new release after I had made it halfway through Six Brothers. Then I thought, I might as well finish, then I'll get to my other book. As it turned out, I would have small breaks in my day and think, "Eh, I'll just take a quick peak into the next one...".

...that didn't happen!

Before I knew it, I was cracking open the next...then the next. Seriously, I was totally sucked in, and nothing could stop me.

Please be warned I'll tag most of the major spoilers, but please proceed with caution if you have not read, and plan to. Will try to make this a quickie...

Plot
Initially I though that this would be seven books, seven deaths, in and out with some things happening in between. But after the second brothers death, I knew something else had to take place because there was no way that Julz was going to get away with all these "accidents" occurring just as she got there. I honestly could not fathom some of the twists and turns that took place. Definitely crazy and exhilarating.

I was a little put off by the lack of the Motorcycle Club background. I figured since the series was named after the club, I was expecting a little more about the MC life and things that occurred in it. I understand, as a whole, it's about revenge, but maybe it should have been called The Ross Brothers.

I was relieved that Jase found out who Julz really was in Five Miles. I honestly didn't think I would be able to take her not telling him or him not figuring it out any longer.

Three Years was brutal. And I'm talking BRUTAL! The horrors that took place were jaw-dropping, and it was so hard to comprehend some of the things that were done to Julz. Be careful, if you are sensitive to gory scenes. Some images may stay with you longer than intended.

Two Roads was an absolute heartbreaker. This was the book in which tears were shed. No one should have to deal with the situation that Julz and Jason dealt with.

Julz
I really liked her character for the most part, but still didn't understand how she had NO plan going in. She didn't have anything going in, she didn't even train to fight or anything. I though this was incredibly stupid. I felt bad for her circumstances and what happened to her and really wanted her to get her revenge, but it was very naive of her to just go in with small knowledge of the club and a makeover. Not all of her decisions were wise, but the ones made, helped make an interesting story.

Jase
The perfect hero with his undying love and remorse for his first love. I did really like the guy, but I lacked the swoon-y feels for him, personally. Maybe because so much of him was overshadowed by all the craziness going on, but I lacked a connection to the guy, which sort of surprised me. Then again, the author does state at the end that this is not a love story even though there is one in it. Maybe not having a connection is okay, as it was just the tip of everything.

Dornan
I've read a lot of books with sick, depraved, and sadistic fucks, but this guy sits easily in my top 5 evilest men list. And to know what little we do learn about him in these books...*shudder. I can only imagine we are scratching the surface of the genuinely cruel man.

To anyone who has read...
Okay, admittedly I am slow, so let me know either if you felt the same, or if you can explain something to me.

Overall a highly addictive journey and I enjoyed it a lot. They were just the right length and gave you just enough of the story followed by huge cliffhangers to make you move right along to the next. This was my first experience with Lili St. Germain, and I thought she did a fantastic job with this tale. I look forward to other books by her. Currently the prequel to the Gypsy Brothers is out, and this last book was very open-ended. I can't wait to get more information on all of her characters.

Would recommend if you like an intense and grueling read.

I finished this one in the morning and I've been thinking about it all day.
I loved everything of it. Books in this series are really short but they are INTENSE .

description

This one made me feel; towards the end I was in tears, you know when a book grips you and you're speechless, your heart beats so fast and you have no idea if you're feeling scared/sad/angry/happy?

I was in this state with this one. I wasn't really ready to be done with this series, to let these characters go.

JULS. I really liked her, she's so strong, brave and witty. ( yes, witty, and I loved this side of her personality).

This review will be vague because you really have to go in blind, the less you know about it, the more you're going to enjoy it.

If you have not read this book, don't read this spoiler.

I hope you pick up this series and give it a try. It was a roller coaster ride but totally worth it!!

I have not slept in over 24 hours. Why, you ask? Because this series dragged me in and would not let me go until I had all of my answers. Book after book I had the need for more and I wasn't stopping until I finished. And it was so worth it!

“This story wasn't a love story. It was a story about vengeance, about redemption, about retribution.”

I'm not too sure how to put into words what I'm feeling at this moment. This series was just WOW. There was chaos, death, sex, love, hate, vengeance and so many emotions my body can't even process them all.

Julz goes on her hunt for revenge and it's not an easy road that she chooses to travel but her revenge will be oh so sweet. Her battle isn't alone, Elliott and Jase have endured so much pain at the hands of the Gypsy Brothers also. This story ended in surprises, bullets, blood and death. But whose death? I'm not going to tell, and if you want to find out this series is so worth the read!

This story wasn’t a love story. This was a story about love, yes, but it wasn’t a love story. It was a story about vengeance, about redemption, about retribution.

That story was the battle between Juliette and Dornan. Their story is done.

Jase and Julz? Their story is not done

Can I tell I'm excited for more. I want their story asap. Because with what you say in your note at the end of the book, Lili, I'm so impatient to get more of them. So they can know each others.
You are absolutely right when you say they are just lovers. They need time together and I'm sure it's going to be an awesome book

What an explosive conclusion! We were left with just two sons and the father standing as Julz carried out her vengeance. But when Julz and Jace are taken into custody after suffering a heartbreaking loss; you just can’t seem to find anyone you can trust. No one is who they seem but one thing is certain, Dornan has plenty of enemies that might just help Julz get exactly what she’s been after... the only question is who will be left standing when the dust settles.

Okay, so I picked this series up during the huge sale, getting the first 6 books for under $5 and thought that I’d slowly work my way through them in preparation for the final installment. I mean I had a few weeks to read them, so I was certain I’d have no wait to have to deal with as this one had not yet been released. I was wrong. I devoured all six installments in a day and although I completely understand that Lili St. Germain had a small delay; I was chomping at the bit for the final installment.

This book did not disappoint. There were plenty of times where I just could not make head or tails of how this story was going to end. Honestly, I could have been happy with any ending for this story, happy or sad... because both fit. Both would have brought this story full circle.

I do love that this story did not morph into a romance, although Jace and Julz had their reunion and their childhood love never faded, it was still all about the end game for Julz. Dornan and his sons needed to suffer for what they took from her, what they did to her.

With this series being the author’s debut, I can say without a doubt that she picked up a fan. This series was more than just a dark & twisted MC read. It reached levels of disturbing with the lengths that Julz went for her revenge and even a time or two when Jace shocked me. But in the midst of all this bloodshed we were given some pretty devastating scenes between both Jace & Julz and Elliot & Julz that gave this story such depth that I was near tears.

I can’t wait for more from this author. Her next series is already up for pre-order and those bad boys can’t come soon enough.

5 stars!

I just finished One Love and my head is a mess! The story goes on from where it was left and Ms. St. Germain doesn’t disappoint. This book is full of action, surprises and twists. The writing is so raw that I had to take long deep breaths to calm myself down few times. And still I couldn't put it down. I had to know what will happen next.

Julz has changed since she started this journey. I like her in One Love more than ever. She finally is aware of the danger, she and the ones she loves, are in. And she is fighting harder than ever to succeed her purpose.

Jase is really amazing during this book. He is always there to ground Julz, to help her go through with her need for revenge and justice. Honestly I haven’t seen purer, stronger love than this between them.

The end of the book is excellent! I loved everything that happened and how it happened. I wouldn’t change anything in this end as indeed it’s only fitting. As Ms. St. Germain pointed out in her note in the end of the book, this series is not a love story, it’s about revenge, redemption and justice and I felt each of these emotions.

I definitely recommend this series to everyone who loves a really dark, raw, twisted, intense revenge story!

“I kiss him back. It’s not pretty, and it’s not nice, but that’s okay. Because, in our world, it takes the taste of death in your mouth, bloody and warm, to truly understand what it means to be alive.”
- Juliette Portland

“They say a man is never more honest than in his hour of death, and now I see that this is true. Dornan’s eyes are red and glassy, and suddenly, he doesn’t look like the evil psychopath who killed my father and destroyed my life. The monster who inexplicably caused me to lose my daughter before she’d even taken her first breath. No, for a split second in time, this creature in front of me is a broken man, a dying man, a man who is burdened down with the weight of his own terrible existence.”
- Juliette Portland

“Seven men against one little girl. Seven grown men who nearly killed that girl as payback because her father loved the wrong woman. Because he wanted a better life for his daughter. Seven men who took turns holding her down until she was pretty much dead.”

I'm excited to have finished this journey, but I'm also sad that it has ended. Julie was such a strong and resilient character. It is at times a dark and violent 'full-on' read - but thoroughly worth it.

"This story wasn't a love story. This was a story about love, yes, but it wasn't a love story. It was a story about vengeance, about redemption and about retribution."

Well, I made it through... I read the entire series & it's done now... yep... OVER...

I don't really know what to do now. I spent so much time waiting for the next book, and the next, and the next, now it's done and it was crazy, ugly, violent, and delicious... but it's over... I just feel like...

Well we start in one hell of a pickle in the beginning of this one and off the cuff you see that Juliette is not fucking around. She is brazen and confident and though she is also broken and twisted now she has the life experience to back up the badass she needed to be to survive.

Jase and Julez remind me of Bonnie and Clyde they are going to ride together and die together and the possibility of death is around the corner for everyone. No one is safe in this book!!!

Not only do we experience full fledged kickass Julez but we see a side of Dornan that I never suspected was there. Sure maybe in the past... but I figured any type of heart had dried up rotted and oozed out of him many years ago. And even Jase is branching out and showing us a side of him that we've yet to see.

So much happened, it was so twisted, and good, and I cannot say another word for fear that I will spoil something. So get this!!! Read it now!!!! And if you haven't started the series yet you have no reason not to start now it is complete!!!!

Quote Love:
"I will kill this woman. I will fuck her to death with this knife..."

"I wanted to be that person for you," "The wife. The mother of your kids. Not... this."

"Yeah," he says finally. "I am."

"I loved you once," I say softly... I would have done anything for you."

"Ditto, baby girl."

Lili...

But...

This review is posted on Way Too Hot Books.

"I've been waiting for you," he murmurs, his voice rough and ominous,
and in his eyes I see my own death.

Since this is the last installment in the Gypsy Brothers series this will be a short and spoiler-free review. I loved the first four books in the series while I had some plot issues with the two previous installments and considering the emotional turmoil the author put us through I kind of feared the ending. In regard to the development of the plot I was sure that it will either be a hit/ miss read for me. Now, after I finished reading it I'm happy I can say it was in spite of some additional issues more of a hit.

As always the story was dark, thrilling, gory and bittersweet.

These were the highlights of the book for me:

1. Donnie's destiny
2. Dornan's destiny
3. appearing of the new gang called Skullz

The okay parts:

1. Jase as the main male character failed to win me over, even in this last installment.
2. Juliette's and Dornan's final face off.
3. The involvement of CIA corrupted agents.

As far as the ending is concerned I must admit that, while it wasn't exactly mind-blowing and glorious as it had the potential to be, it was all in all quite satisfying. Prepare your tissues people!

Recommended to all fans of dark romance who enjoy stories with revenge as the main theme.
