I really enjoyed reading this story - the author has created a vivid, exciting world that is thoroughly inviting. There is a great deal of substance to the characters, and the storyline captured my attention and kept me interested all the way through. Although this is the second book in the series, I read this as a stand-alone story and was perfectly satisfied. I highly recommend!

With this novel, Morwen Navarre builds upon the world she created when we first met Ghost and the Witch, and she does not disappoint.

And, like the world he inhabits, Ghost has grown and matured as a character. Set a short time after the first, we get to see him fulfilling his new role in the community where he lives with his Alpha,

I didn’t read the first book in this collection and I feel I would have gained more from the overall story if I had but I don’t feel it took away from the beauty in book 2 as both Ghost and Gerry are strong male characters who are not afraid of love and show their emotions.

Gerry is Ghost alpha and protector. Ghost has taken over the healing of the community using his witch craft and visions that he gets. Sometimes the visions come in riddles that he must decipher and make sense of. When confront

This is a series and should be read in order, no cliffhanger but unfinished story.

Enjoyed the characters, story and everything else EXCEPT the covers of this and the first book have nothing to do with the main characters who is fair skinned with white blonde hair.

I've been writing since I could first hold a pencil, and by all accounts I didn't limit myself to paper. Walls, tablecloths and the occasional sibling were all fair game, and it shouldn't be surprising to learn that markers were banned in my home with all due haste. Although I now content myself with inconveniencing electrons, the desire to bring the stories in my mind to life hasn't waned.

“You do more than squeak. You purr like a sind's whelp. You yowl a little, too, at exactly the right moments." Gerry caught Ghost's mouth in a deeper kiss. Gerry's breath was warm against Ghost's cheek as he spoke. "You blush and you growl. I want to keep you like you are just then. All smooth, bare skin and pink cheeks. Your eyes shining up at me brighter than your witchmark.” 0 likes
“You're the first male witch in generations. You count for something. Your presence will be recorded by the witchsisters. Even though some of them hate you and would love to feed you to a lair full of hungry sind." Gerry's eyes held humor. "There are far more who'll make sure everyone remembers how the Witch taught Ghost, a witch and a seer, and a man of honor. I hope they mention your beautiful spiral. Those stones which glow when you're working your magic, but which never shine brighter than your eyes.” 0 likes
