Whilst for the most part and enjoyable read, there were several issues I had with Heartsong Cottage, being my first read from Emily March I didn’t really have any expectations going into this one apart from it being a seasonal read. The cover intimates that fact, and unfortunately that is not the case, Christmas is barely mentioned and it is literally in the last 20 pages or so that it is. For me this is a big sticking point, because when you off

I am not sure that this is really my kind of book. This one got added to my review pile while I was in some kind of NetGalley widget clicking trance. Or something like that. I didn't love it. At times, I didn't care for it at all and at other times it was all right. The beginning was rather touching and I felt really bad for our Hero. How could you not? As the book progressed and the focus fell on Shannon and Daniel, I couldn't completely get on board with their romance. There we

Heartsong Cottage (Eternity Springs # 10) by Emily March is a 2015 St. Martin's Press publication. I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This tenth installment in the popular Eternity Springs series begins with Daniel's harrowing story of how he lost his son ten years prior. Fast forward to present day, and Daniel is coming to Eternal Springs to attend the wedding of a very special friend where he meets a mysterious new lady in town n

I am absolutely in love with the town of Eternity Springs! The characters had both been through some gruesome things, but when the town brings them together they are able to heal. I thought at first that this would be the typical romance with the main characters at odds with eachother until the end, but it wasn't. There was something sweeter about the relationship the was born when they worked together almost the entire time. I need to go back and read other books in the series now, though this ...more

This was a struggle to finish... I was rolling my eyes throughout the whole thing. I found the (internal/external) dialogue repetitive and just off (almost to the point where I'd laugh because I found it so unbelievable). I felt NO connection/desire/love between Daniel and Shannon.

The story progressed as such:

Worst day in Daniel's life
Wedding (In which Daniel tells Shannon his name is Samuel... I don't know why.

I swear the books just keep getting better and better

"Coincidences are an angel's way of working anonymously"

This is book ten in Emily March’s Eternity Springs series and boy do they just keep getting better. Admittedly this is one of the darker ones, like with Dreamweaver Trail; but like all the others it’s about finding hope after all seems lost. Eternity Springs is a place for lost souls go to heal, to find their way again, to find a new purpose and to just maybe find love again.

Before I finished this book I sent an e-mail to my sister telling her to look for the Eternity Springs series by Emily March hoping that she will be able to find and check them out from her library. It is a GREAT book! It is the first book I have read by this author but it will not be my last!!!

Some of the words and phrases I wrote down in my notebook while reading include:
*great character development
*wonderful dialogue
*real people
*intense emotions

Heartsong Cottage by Emily March

The wedding cliche of not leaving alone is the beginning "encounter" in this contemporary and lovely romance.

Mild and g-rated, no sex. It's ok. While in the past I may have objected, the sexual tension is not high here. It's more about Shannon and Daniel learning to not be alone and maybe trusting each other. It's about friendship and companionship. And community. And recovery.
A few tears in two scenes made this a touching, heart-felt read. I love the storyline of

This latest entry in the Eternity Springs series brings back Daniel Garrett who was instrumental in reuniting Hope with her kidnapped child. Daniel has been a frequent visitor to Eternity Springs over the years, since it tends to revitalize him after particularly bad cases involving child victims. While Daniel has been able to provide closure for other families, he has never really gotten closure for his own son’s death and then his wife’s subsequent suicide. It is easy to see why he has never a ...more

ARC of Heartsong Cottage.

I read this book in less than a day and Loved it. The story being Daniel Garretts, a man who lost his son due to a child abduction and his wife, who could not cope with the loss, there were some difficult parts in the book to read but I so enjoyed the way the whole story played out. Heartsong Cottage did not have all the conflict between characters that are prevalent in so many stories. There are emotional struggles but they are dealt with honestly and maturely and I re

In the 10th installment of Emily March's Eternity Springs series, we meet Daniel Garrett a private investigator who left the police force ten years ago after the tragic abduction and death of his 4 year old son and the loss of his wife. He meets Shannon O'Toole while visiting friends in Eternity Springs. Shannon also has a past that she is fleeing from. Can these two lonely souls find love and trust in each other??? I am a huge fan of the Eternity Springs novels and this book did not disappoint. I really like how characters from other Eternity Springs books pop up in all of these stories. Even though there may be mention of other story lines, these are also stand alone books.

In this one, both Daniel and Shannon, the main characters, have dealt with life's blows and struggle with taking a chance on falling in love again. I am a sap for a happy ending and without spoiling anything, after some interesting bump

Eternity Springs has been one of my favorite series of all time. Emily March has created a town everyone would love to live in or visit. Heartsong Cottage does not disappoint. The theme of all of the stories revolves around one or two people having something in their life they need to resolve and how they work through this and come together as a couple. Emily weaves wonderful emotion filled stories that hold my interest all the way through. I normally start and end the book during the same day b ...more

My latest rip to Eternity Springs was not a disappointment! I met Shannon who runs Murphy's Pub and Daniel, who's in town for Hope Romano's wedding.
They've had a lot of problems to deal with, but the magic of Eternity Springs and Celeste Blessing will help them find each other!
Emily has another winner in this latest book That's filled with love and laughter.
Definitely a must read!

Small town romance with a hefty dose of inspirational... and closed door love scenes. Not my usual thing but I can't deny Emily March aka Geralyn Dawson's heart warming storytelling has grown on me in a big way. Just a feel good story all around and perfect when you feel the need to escape into the town of Eternity Springs where love's healing grace conquers all.

Heartsong Cottage is # 10 in the Eternity Springs series by Emily March. Could you read it as a stand alone - of course, but why would you when there are just so many wonderfully heartwarming stories in the series.

This time its the turn of Daniel Garrett - he had a small part to play in a previous book when he found Holly the little girl that belongs to Hope from Miracle Road #7 in the series. His speciality is tracking down lost children. A

Emily March took me right into the community of Eternity Springs and Daniel and Shannon's lives in Heartsong Cottage. I felt like I was right there with them!

Heartsong Cottage has it all...a little suspense, lots of romance, hope, heart ache, love, and joy. Emily evokes powerful emotions with her writing. This novel was an emotional rollercoaster from the first chapter. It brought tears to my eyes more than once, and usually they were happy tears. March returns to Eternity Springs in such a manner that I truly felt as if I’d been there. She topped that off with an exciting story that held my attention. She melds romance with suspense in a very real way that I couldn’t help but get lost in.

Emily March weaves her magic again with a beautiful story of love, loss, and the redemption of two lost souls. All I can say for now is that your heart will be overflowing and your tissue box will be empty by the end -- AND, if you want to start your holiday season with a sense of gratitude and joy, there's no better place to start than with a journey to Eternity Springs.

I am so fortunate to have been able to receive an advance copy of this new title in the Eternity Springs Series. Heartsong Cottage lives up to the anticipation by bringing together familiar faces, new characters and a story that makes one believe not only in second chances but once again in hopes, promises and love. Visit Eternity Springs and give yourself a gift of a satisfying and heart warming read---you too will want more!

I was one of the lucky people who received an advance copy of this wonderful book. Heartsong Cottage is as good if not better than the rest of the Eternity Springs series. When I started reading I could not put the book down. I completed it in a few hours of non-stop reading. I highly recommend Heartsong Cottage.

The Eternity Springs series is probably best read in order, but I have jumped around and have not had too much of a problem following the stories. Daniel Garrett and Shannon O'Toole are both hiding out in Eternity Springs for different reasons. Shannon is hiding from a stalker and Daniel is hiding from his memories. When they get drunk at a wedding and end up in bed together, the expectation is that it will be a one night stand. Unfortunately, life does not always work out the way you plan. They ...more

My heart! Heartsong Cottage is emotional, intense and suspenseful … great addition to the Eternity Springs series.

Haunted by the loss of his wife and son, Daniel Garrett left the police force to devote his life to finding missing children. But he still hasn't found a way to mend the wounds of his past-until he attends a wedding in Eternity Springs. Shannon O'Toole isn't looking for romance. Ever since her fiancé's death, she’s created a quiet life for herself. Still, she can't deny her attractio

I love revisiting Eternity Springs, where there's always a gently magical and healing atmosphere. This book is wonderfully written, but a little darker and sadder than some of Ms. March's stories. Just be forewarned...

Daniel Garrett was a police officer, happily married and with a young son, when the unthinkable happened ten years earlier. Now alone and lonely and so tired of working as a private detective searching for missing children, he comes to town for a friend's wedding. There he meets Sh

I had mixed feelings about this book. Both characters have lost people they love. Once they meet they are attracted to each other and sleep together after a friends wedding.

Daniel leaves and doesn't come back for a few weeks and when he does he has a woman and child who he is protecting. Shannon things she is a home wrecker because she is pregnant and has yet to tell Daniel. Once she finally does he believes it's another guys and just trying to pass it off as his.

Of course I could see that all

Recommends it for: Anyone who likes happy endings.
Another reason to love Eternity Springs!

Daniel is a long broken man who helps find missing children, often with unfortunate endings.

Shannon is hiding from her past. They overcome her fear of Daniel identifying her and his fear of loving again. This story revisits most of your Eternity Springs'old friends while still letting Shannon & Daniel lead the story. And yes, a dog does find her way into the tale!
