White Lines III: All Falls Down

Rate this book
The ultimate love story forged on the gritty streets of New York began with White Lines, and now, in this stunning conclusion, Jada and Born come full circle, but not without paying a hefty price in White Lines III: All Falls Down by Tracy Brown.

On the surface, Jada's life is back on track. She's battled her demons, her son is a permanent part
of her life-and yet, it still feels like she's on shaky ground. What she really needs to settle her soul is to have Born back in her life-and in her arms-again.

Reuniting with the man she loves is proving to be the hardest thing she's ever fought for. And when a brutal and shocking event tests the foundation of Jada and Born's resolve, it will take every drop of willpower they possess to stay on top.

I vividly remember buying the first White Lines book. I hadn’t heard of the author before and picked this book up on a whim while in the bookstore. The same night, I stayed up until the crack of dawn reading about Jada and Born. I was addicted to the characters and the storyline. I don’t know if it was the content that keep me intrigued as much as it was the way the story was told. It was a love story, true, but it was told with a certain grit and edge that I wasn’t accustomed to at the time.

This has been a book I’ve recommended quite a bit and just recently loaned my copy to a good friend. Initially, I didn’t think that the original book needed a follow-up but I definitely wasn’t mad when she released the second one three years ago. While I didn’t LOVE it, I could appreciate it.

On to the latest novel; I had planned to read it this weekend but what is it they say about the most carefully laid out plans? One thing led to another and I found myself up until 1 a.m Thursday morning finishing this book. I didn’t realize just how much I was interested in rekindling with Jada and Born.

When we ended White Lines II: Sunny, Jada and Born were separated and Sunny found herself in some very deep trouble while vacationing Mexico.

White Lines III: All Falls Down picks up RIGHT where we left off. It was full steam ahead and Tracy Brown did not take her foot off of the gas until the very end. This book provided everything that has been trademark White Lines; love, sex, drugs, and betrayal. There was a death in this book that admittedly knocked the wind out of me. While it wasn’t a surprising one given the circumstances, I was very much taken aback.

Without giving anything away, I will say that White Lines III: All Falls Down was a solid read and was worth the long wait. I only had a few minor issues with this book. While Jada and Born continued to be the main focus, there were so many additional secondary characters that I couldn’t always keep their stories straight. They all had fulfilling stories and it wasn’t fluff by any means, it just wasn’t a necessity for me. I would have been happy wit just Jada, Born, and Sunny’s stories. Jada, as she normally did, still pissed me off to no end. You would think that after 15 years she would finally have it all together, but she didn’t. She almost lost out on Born after she walked away from him but wanted to get upset because she thought he was moving on.

Jada. What part of the game is that, boo?

However, Brown stayed true to Jada’s character so I can’t stay upset for too long because I shouldn’t have even been surprised. Jada’s past also came back to bite in her an almost deadly way. Before this even happened, Jada and Born already had so much drama to deal with that I didn’t think it was needed. However, it served as a lesson that there can always be demons lurking from your past ready to come back and haunt you. For Jada, while I think she always knew that; the reminder didn’t hurt.

The only other thing that took me for a loop was the way Born dealt with Sheldon (Jada’s son) and got him to accept Born being a part of the family. If you read the previous book, you are aware of the issues Sheldon has. While how Born handled it was true to his upbringing and how he lived his life, I’m not sure it would have happened like that or even been effective in real life.

Speaking of children, if Mercedes isn’t the exact replica of her mother, Sunny, then I don’t know what to tell you. Her mannerisms, her speech; everything! The scene where she tried to put Sheldon in his place was a classic Sunny move.

Longtime fans of Tracy Brown and Jada and Born’s story will appreciate the latest foray into the White Lines saga. Those who haven’t read this trilogy as yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

The title is very indicative of what happens throughout this book. When it says White Lines III: All Falls Down, it was definitely the truth. When I say it all falls down, IT ALL FALLS DOWN.

White Lines III: All Falls Down is very emotional; its street, it’s gritty, and it is a page turner. It gave me everything I needed to say goodbye to these characters.

4.5 I ate this series upppp! Tracy Brown is my fav author bc she just have some of the realest books. I love 90's feel of her books. Lets get into this book. Sunni WTF you have to go out like that Miss Ma'am!! cuz yeah that was just too much. Poor Mercedes, And lawd I'm happy Sheldon finally was on the right tracks. But what really got me is FRANKIE!! Boy no you didnt tell like that. All to save Jillian who still don't want you is insane. Frankie was the mane in Snapped. Just to turn FEDS. BUT lets talk Born and Jada, that love survived it all.

2.5 Stars ✨

Urg I hate to give Tracy Brown such a low rating, but I didn’t love this conclusion to the series. I was feeling a bit bored, especially because Sunny’s story was repetitive for the first 50%. The second half picked up a little.

I will admit there were quite a few new characters and I became confused. I didn’t care about their storylines at all. Upon further research, it looks like White Lines 3 ties in with two other Tracy Brown books (Criminal Minded and Snapped). If I’d known that, I would’ve read those books first to make WL3 more enjoyable.

Ultimately, this would have worked better for me as a novella that wrapped up Sunny, Jada, and Born’s story. All the extra people and filler content could have been taken out.

I received a copy of this book for my honest opinion about it.
This is the 3rd book in this series. Sunny, Jada, Born & everyone else have come so far since the first book. Even though some have changed their lives some miss the things they use to do.Sunny loves her daughter but loves being the center of attention and living life in the fast lane. While Jada likes that things have slowed down and the past is behind her. Until things from everyone's past start to surface.
Tracy Brown dotted the i's and crossed the t's in this book.

This was a great story except I was confused with all the characters mixed in. I did not read the previous two books so many I needed to read the other two in order to understand what was going. Writing was good and it is always nice to see how two characters story ends.

I finished this one in on day!

This was a great book as well, however there were a lot of new characters that I didn’t understand their POV, the story did drag a bit and I feel as though Tracy put every thought she was having into this book. I was more vested into Born and Jada’s story.

Elliott got what was coming to him, and Born wasn’t going to give him NOTHING, like his mama said. I love how the man in Born raised up as he dealt with Sheldon’s spoiled tail!

Jada and Born’s love was so deserving and that man loved her beyond the words. The ending was beautiful and Tracy you did this series! 🕊️

This book wrapped up great!! 4.5 stars

Sunny getting caught up in jail was crazy but again you play stupid games you win stupid prizes

Anissa was so damn bitter and I get why but ugh it annoyed me so bad!

There’s no way Sunny was so selfish to
Take another hit while Mercedes literally cried for her to do better. 😭😭 I hate mess like that forreal.

Elliott coming back for Jada was just absurd.. because sir ??? Tf

I’m so glad Jada & Born got their happy ending when it came down to it!!! They been through way too much not to be happy.

4.5 I'm not pulling any punches. Tracy Brown wrote her behind off. Period. Well why not a perfect score you ask? Let me break it down.
I rarely give 5 stars. A 5 star book is flawless and has me reeling and satiated for weeks.
This book though, was the best of the series. I read 1 several years ago and remember being at the point of taking it back because it was painfully slow, but possibly around midway I started to get hooked. Then I was addicted and when 2 came out my friend read it first and told me I'd be disappointed because of the lack of focus on my favorite couple. I waited several years and then another reading friend suggested I get both 2 and 3 and I would not be disappointed. She was adamant. I caved.
This installment though!!!!! I absolutely thought it was brilliant. Tracy Brown is not one of those fast writing authors and I have learned to appreciate it. She kills you slowly. When I say I was in pure agony and then I was breathless and then I was angry believe it! I NEVER EVER advance to the end to sneak peak in a book. EVER. But when I say this woman had me almost at that point believe it! I was on an emotional roller coaster. Now, the only complaints are these: the extra new characters that aren't so new because they are in 2. I'm not sure I liked that she spent a great deal of time dealing with them and their stories even though it brings on a particular character to his aha moment. I just wasn't invested in Frankie, Jillian, Camille etc.. Also DJ'a manager and her friends. That was pointless to actually give them a chapter or a 15 seconds of fame type situation. Maybe she is planning on a spin off? There were not a lot of intimate moments with my favorite couple. Sure we got sprinklings but nothing profound until the rainy night scene and I'll leave that right there. I love to quote characters especially when alpha males are just raw and exposed. I didn't get a lot of that. But Born did say, "Don't run from me". And that was quite sexy. There were some great moments that sent this story over the edge for me like the Born and Sheldon moment and many more. This was just the best installment and it is quite a ride so be prepared.

This was a nice finish to the series. There were a lot of characters in the story, which I didn’t care for. But the writing continues to be solid and the plot is engaging.

Another great banger from Tracy Brown. This book really felt like a love story of the lives of Born and Jada. The went through a lot within their relationship, but they finally get married. Jada's best friend Sunny goes through her ups and downs but overdosed the night before going to rehab. So much happens in this book that I can't tell it all. Enjoy reading it for yourself.

Love love loved it!! I knew that when Sunny started back using drugs that it would be her downfall. It was very heartbreaking because I know, as readers, we were all rooting for her. On a happy note, Im so pleased that Jada and Born made it through! I loved this happy ending.

MAN! MAN! MAN! I don’t even know where to start there was so many feels in this book! My girl sunny I just wished the cards fell differently. Poor Mercedes like my heart really went out to her because she seen and knew so much at such a young age. Her freedom of just being a kid was stripped from her. I’m glad Born had finally got Sheldon together cause he was getting on my nerves too badddd! It was also good to see Born go from being a boy who still played childlike games and didn’t really know what he wanted to a man that was stern, protective, gentle and loving and direct about his wants and needs in his life! My girl Jada been through it all but she came in like a BIG GANGSTER (Kevin Gates voice) at the end! Baby I liveddddd for it! I loved the ending for Born and Jada🤍🥂!

I’m glad I made time to finish a wonderful series! I started the first white lines in high school, when I had no experience in anything, no children, no sense, nothing. And I loved the first two books, plus some other books in this “universe”. It was rough to recall plenty of the past from the characters in this book, but the author does a great job of briefly reviewing the associations to help bring me back.

Overall, this was a pretty good book. I would rate it a 3.5, but gave it a four because it did a great job of continuing and then wrapping up the series. I love that it intertwined with an event from White Lines 2, but didn’t just pick up where it ended, it told the story from a different angle. As someone older with more experience, a child, and more sense, this book wasn’t as “wow!”. Which isn’t a bad thing, it was more understandable how characters were reacting, the decisions they made, how and why relationships were working or didn’t work.

Tracy Brown did a great job finishing out the series and I’m excited to read the others in this universe I haven’t gotten to yet. I am so so sad we won’t get anymore work from her though.

The third book in the White Lines series picks up right where part 2 left off. Sunny is in jail in Mexico for the drugs found in her purse and Malcolm is nowhere to be found. Everyone is worried about Sunny, because her secret is finally out! When she returns, she has some tough decisions to make, but will it be too late?

Jada and Born have reconciled and trying to move forward with their relationship, but the past is trying to come back to haunt them. Will the relationship survive kids, death, freak accidents and drama?

This book had my emotions all over the place! One minute I was happy…the next I was crying like a newborn baby in need of a warm bottle and a dry diaper. I strongly suggest that you read 'Snapped' and 'Aftermath' before reading this book, or you may not know who a few of the characters are. With that being said, I recommend this book by @authortracybrown and gladly give it 💎💎💎💎💎.

I usually don't like a book with too many characters because it becomes confusing. I don't know how Tracy does it, but every conversation, scene and interaction between characters flow well and the storyline is so unpredictable. When you feel upset and mourn with the characters, you know the author has mastered the art of writing. This trilogy belongs on the big screen. White Lines III is hands down the best book in its category for 2015. Kudos Ms Brown. I'm ready for your next project.

I didn’t expect this to be that good. A lot i could relate to when it come toxic relationships and old habits that u tend to turn to. Sunny I’m sorry that your daughter lost u and her father I’m sorry that nobody was able to feel your cry out for help. Jada finally faced her past instead of running from it I actually enjoyed seeing her come in to save Born and Ethan lives. Great ending to a very well written story.

This was the last book of the White Lines series. It was ok. I really enjoyed book 1. I listened to the audiobook. It kept my attention. The turn of events caught me off guard, but interesting storyline nonetheless. I was grateful to finally know what happened to many of the characters in the book, especially Born, Jada, and Sunny. Decent conclusion to the series.

I enjoyed it. I loved that Jada and Born finally have a conclusion. However, I didn't like that the Criminal Minded and Snapped folks were included in this book. You will have to have read, and remembered, their stories as well in order to follow this book. Overall, though, it was a good read.
